Mount USB Not Working After 4.4.2

I have a HTC One.  Since the 4.4.2 update I am no longer able to mount a thumb drive via OTG cable.  In addition, the USB cable from my computer will now only charge "at a reduced rate" and the computer will no longer recognize the phone as a drive.  Am I missing a setting that needs to be changed?
Thank you for your assistance.

I am using the original usb cable.  I am also using an OTG cable that worked for months -- until the 4.4.2 update.  When I connect the phone to my PC I get the following message, "On of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it.  Recommendation:  Try reconnecting the device.  If Windows still does not recognize it, replace the device."

  • [SLOVED] All my USB not work after upgrade system.

    Hello all,
I'm new in Arch, and i install my system with your LiveCD (2005).
In the first boot, all work good. But after upgrade (pacman -Syu), all my USB device (Keyboard, Mouse) not work.
I'm not using (yet) with Xorg, just in command shell (tty1), But i can't press anything cuz my keyboard not work.
I try to do that (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 19#p906119), but no work to me too.
What i can to do to fix this?

FYI, the latest installation CD version is "2010.05". It's best to use the latest. Get it from http://www.archlinux.org/download/
I'm not sure but I believe all other LiveCDs are custom made outside of the official Archlinux development team.
I recommend downloading the CD I mentioned and follow this guide: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners%27_Guide
I've installed arch many times on different hardware and the only time I lost mouse and keyboard was after I removed "10-evdev.conf" and "10-quirks.conf" from /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/. I copied both back from backups, rebooted and m&k were functional again. My guess is  "10-evdev.conf" was the file I needed. Check both these files exist.

  • Satellite A100 - USB not working after XP installation

    Hi Guys
I am reloading Satellite A100 PSAA9A OCV004 for a friend he has lost the disks so I have loaded a legal copy of XP home everything going well so far but I can't get the USB working any ideas?
    Tnx Mick.

    Hi Mick,
Have you installed new Service Pack 3 for Windows XP? This is important because it contains many important updates.
After Service Pack 3 installation you can start with driver installation. Everything you can download on Toshiba website.
Its also important that you install the chipset driver.

Welcome to the HP Forums  MillaMagia,
I see by your post that the USB isn't being recognized.
I can help you with this issue.
Are you using the same USB cable? (known good USB cable)
You want to use the normal USB slot 2.0 cable and not the latest USB 3.0.
USB 3.0 are supposed to be backwards compatible.
Try another USB port on the Laptop, some of the USB ports are more powered then others.
I have provided a document to see if the printer is partially recognized in the device manager, which is causing the printer not to be recognized again. (the uninstall from the CD should have removed the entry and the printer from the registry)
Leave the printer turned on and the USB cable connected directly to the computer and the printer's power cord directly into a wall outlet.
How do I get into Windows Device Manager?
Here is a document for Identifying problems in Windows Device Manager.
Check to see if there are any hardware driver conflicts, you might see a ! mark or a red x beside a device with a conflict or unknown device, look under universal serial bus controllers, look for USB printing support or mass storage device, delete the entry by right clicking and select uninstall, OK.
Let me know how it was listed. (screen shots welcome)
If this is a Laptop then check the power management settings.
Access the device manager. Windows 8-How do I access the Device Manager.
Select universal serial bus controllers from the list, for each USB root hub, right click and left click on properties, for power management remove the check mark for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". It allows the computer to limit or turn off power for this device.
Disconnect the USB, run the full uninstall and reinstall the printer software again.
If you need further assistance, let me know.
    Have a nice day!
    Thank You.

my built in camera is not working after upgrading to a new Skype version

    See this thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5306216?tstart=0
    FIX:
    1. You need Time Machine
    2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
    3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
    4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
    5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
    6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.
    If that doesnt pass,
Suggest looking here, much success has been found:

  • "F11 System Recovery" during boot does not work after Cloning hard drive.

Problem: “F11 System Recovery” during boot does not work after Cloning hard drive.
HP Envy m6-1125dx UEFI Notebook Computer with GPT hard drive.
Original Seagate Hard Disk GPT 700GB with Window 8.0_64 upgraded to Windows 8.1_64
Startup Menu (F11 System Menu works properly) only on original hard drive.
Following obtained from Disk Management & diskpart in Command Prompt.
                                     GPT Disk <700GB>
Partition 1 WINRE NTFS Primary 235MB/400MB [Recovery]
Partition 2 EFI System FAT32 (LBA) Primary 108MB/260MB [System]
Partition 3 (NONE) Unformatted Primary 128MB/128MB [Reserve]
Partition 4 Main NTFS Primary 90GB/195GB [Primary “C”]

Partition 7 NTFS Primary 26MB/350MB [Recovery]
Partition 8 Recovery NTFS Primary 24GB/26GB [Recovery “D”]
I have Cloned the original hard drive to a new HGST 1TB Hard Drive using four different methods (sector by sector):
    Acronis True Image 2015
    Acronis Backup for PC
    AOMEI Backupper Professional
    Macrium Reflect
Each time the cloning process completes successfully and has the same original partition arrangement. The computer works properly except when trying to use the “F11 System Menu” key during boot. It gives the following error message:
    “Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
A required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed.
    Error code: 0xc0000225
You need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don’t have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer. “
Any suggestions why the F11 System Recovery does not work during boot and how to fix the problem would be appreciated. I have does various disk checking and file checking on both the original and new hard drive with no errors.
    Thank you in advanced.

    Hi,
How did you clone the HDD ? One-for-one or different method ?

    I'll try your suggestions....Thanks!
Recently, I try to Re-install Snow Leopard, unfortunately, still unsuccessful.
The Mybook Icon only appears if it is connected via USB.
After using Firewire and getting used to the speed...USB 2.0 is like a Corvette racing a Veyron...lol
I am not upset on these issues, it is normal for new OS to have these problems...unfortunately, even OSX is not invincible.
I'm sure Apple/Steve is on every Programers A*s for a solution.
I still think APPLE'S OSX will still be the future of Operating system!
For now, still waiting for the patch and hopefully soon.
Suggestions are still Welcome for a Solutions:-)

  • My iphone 4 is not working after resetting

My iphone is not working after resettong, it just let me do emergency calls.
and if i turn it on it saids to connect USB to itunes.

If you reset to factory that is expected behavior.  You need to connect to iTunes to bring it into the Apple World.  You should then be able to connect to the network of your cell provider.

  • MSI E350IA-E45 USB Not recognised after cold boot.

Any one else have the same issue? My asus (Bluetooth) BT211 is not recognised after cold boot.
I also found the front USB's losing power when PC turned off. Connected them up to 5VSB to fix the issue.
MSI tech has not been back to me if this is a fault design, My motherboard issue or bios issue? Which also means to charge via front USB not work when turned off.
And to top it off I cannot find an answer to whether the Wake on Bluetooth USB is supposed to work?

I also found the front USB's losing power when PC turned off. Connected them up to 5VSB to fix the issue.
How did you connect up the USB ports to 5VSB?
I have a similar issue with a newer MSI board and my USB mouse; I'd have to remove and re-insert the USB connection to the mouse after each cold boot in order for it to be recognized. I did a kludge fix by looping the mouse through a powered USB hub that supplies power to connected devices even when the PC is off.
This MSI board doesn't have a hardware jumper to enable 5VSB to the USB ports, unlike other motherboards. Also, none of the "green" or wakeup settings in the BIOS would cause the USB ports to have power when the PC is off.
So, how do you connect 5VSB to the USB ports? I've heard that crossing the regular 5V rail with 5VSB is a no-no, so I can't imagine how you did it.

  • Why is Time machine backup not working after Mavericks upgrade?

Why is Time machine backup not working after Mavericks upgrade?

I had the same problem due to the Fire Wire port.  Apple tested it told me it is OK!, I tried a new cable, and have tested both ports on my back up device.  I find it strange that as soon as I installed Mavericks.  The drive does work using USB.  It could be a coincidence, I don't absolutely know at this point, my back up drive ports could stop working, but I doubt it!

For any iSight problems, first try restarting the Mac. If the problems persist, try all relevant suggestions from:
      http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090
If your iSight problem still occurs in more than one app and more than one user account, the reset suggested there often restores proper function of inbuilt iSight.
However, if your built-in iSight still does not work after carefully following all the suggestions in the "How to Troubleshoot iSight" article, and if iSight does not show as a USB hardware device in your Mac's System Profiler utility, yours is most likely a hardware problem. In that case, contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service.
If you need service but have no local availability, choose from among these contact options:
