Mountain lion...do I actually have it?

Hello, I have Mountain Lion on my computer from back when Apple was testing it out and they sent it to me. However, I can't update it past 10.8.0 as it implies that Mountain Lion is not installed.
When I went to buy Mountain Lion, it says "OS X 10.8 is already installed on this computer. Are you sure you want to download it?"
I seem to be in some kind of limbo between having Mountian Lion and not having it. Can anyone advise?

I think it should be. You may have to get in touch with folks who gave it to you to test.

How do I change my apple id on iPhone4 in iCloud? In mail, contacts the apple id is correct and matches my new apple id. I had to change my apple id when I upgraded to Mountain Lion in order to have calendar, contacts and other sync with iCloud.

My iPhone4 settings/iCloud shows my original apple id and will not allow me to change it.

To change your iCloud ID you have to delete the account, then sign in with the alternate ID. Before doing this, if you want to keep your data and move it to the new account, go to Settings>iCloud and turn each of your synced data to Off, and when prompted choose to keep the data on your iPhone. When everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account, the sign back in with your other account ID and turn syncing back on; when prompted, choose merge.
If all your data is already in your other account then you don't need to do this. Just delete the account from your phone, selected not to keep the data, then sign into the new account, turn on data syncing and if prompted, choose merge.

If your MacBook Pro had Snow Leopard on it at one time then sure. (Early 2011 or earlier)
How to erase and install Snow Leopard 10.6
Obviously choose the second partition to install into. It has to be OS X Extended journaled formatted in Disk Utility (BootCamp software makes it a MSDOS/FAT32 formatted partition if you used that to partition with)
If it's a Early 2011 or Late 2011 that came with 10.7, it's possible, but it's not easy.

Buy Snow Leopard - http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard - install it and do all the updates to 10.6.8 and then you can download and install Mountain Lion from the App Store (assuming that your Mac has the minimum requirements).

at least that the operator has confirmed to me that he called me. I also have problems with either the start of the mac with the power off. I can not understand if it crashes or is just very very slow.
Finally, I have a problem with the external hard disck. I often said to have been ejected incorrectly (not true) and I start to restore the startup recovery disk because disk utility is ineffective from the normal operating system .. is a shocking thing, but how you reduced. in four years it had never happened. seem to have windows or worse. You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.

Many have posted this fix:
Go to System Preferences > Energy Saver > Computer Sleep ... set to anything greater than the 15 min. default setting.

I doubt it as well.
You might however be able to migrate the install from another drive that it is already installed on.
What you can try is to partition another drive ebven an external one and install a previous version of the Mac OS and then install CS2 and see if you can migrate it to the 10.8 drive.
Even if you do do not be surprised if you cannot run it. zThe only other possibility would then see if there is a hack that will allow you to run earlier versions of certain software on the Mac OS 10.8.

I have this problem also. I was able to download Mountain Lion to my daughter's Mac Mini without any trouble. However, I can't download this to my MacBook Pro. I have read other sites that suggest VirusBarrier is the problem and recommend turning it off in VirusBarrier>Preferences>Advanced. You would need either 10.6.6 or above to upgrad to mountain lion. However, keep in mind if you're stuck on Leopard, it's usually unlikely your hardware will support Mountain Lion anyway. And even more unlikely to support the features such as mirroring, etc.
