Mountain Lion + Full Screen = Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar disappears

I'm running Firefox 14.0.1 on Mountain Lion (yes, the final official version), with the 'Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar'.
When I enter full screen mode, my bookmarks bar completely disappears. Any way to fix this?

Why has been selected as a chosen solution when the resulting comments clearly demonstrate a continuing issue?!

Open General preferences in System Preferences. You can set the desired scrollbar behavior there.

• Bookmarks toolbar disappears every time I close the browser. Have tried all recommendations.

I have been running Chrome from several versions back when Firefox became very slow. I am now trying to switch back to Firefox. I have 27.0.1. My bookmarks toolbar disappears every time I close the browser. I have tried all recommendations I can find including reset and renaming, etc, but nothing has cured the problem. Restore to default used to work for the current session, but now that does not work. I am about to give up and stick with Chrome as this bookmark toolbar issue is driving me nuts. I am about to try uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling. And that will be my last resort unless I get a solution to this problem. I have been a Firefox user from the very beginning up till 16 or 17 and like Firefox, but this seems to be a common occurrence from my research. BOOKMARKS TOOLBAR IS A MUST HAVE!

Hello,
Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be helpful if your bookmarks are lost or missing. To recover them, follow the instructions below.
#Use one of these methods to open the Bookmarks Library window:
#*Click the ''[[Display the Firefox button menu instead of the menu toolbar|Firefox button]]'' to open the menu and click on ''Bookmarks''.
#*Click the ''Bookmarks'' menu and click on ''Show All Bookmarks''.
# At the top of the Library window, click the "Import and Backup" menu and select Restore.
# Click the date of the bookmark backup you want to recover.
# In the new window that appears, click OK.
# Your bookmarks from the selected date should now be restored.
For more information, see the [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]] article. For other solutions, see the [[Recover lost or missing Bookmarks]] article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.

• Is the Mountain Lion full compatible with the Final with Pro?

I will like to upgrade from Snow leopard 10.6.8 to Mountain Lion. Is the Mountain Lion full compatible with the Final with Pro?

OS X Mountain Lion is compatible with Final Cut Pro X and Final Cut Pro 7 updated to the most recent version. If you want to check that your applications are compatible, see > http://www.roaringapps.com
Make a backup of your data before upgrading in case that Final Cut doesn't work under Mountain Lion

• Upgraded to 4.0. Bookmarks Toolbar disappeared. Can get back my changing View or in Options but I have to repeat this every time I open Firefox = a pain!

After upgrading to 4.0, bookmarks toolbar disappeared. By clicking off Menu Toolbar I can get it to reappear (or by clicking off, clicking on Bookmarks Toolbar) , but why do I have to do this for every Firefox session? Why isn't it remembering I have Bookmarks Toolbar checked under Views?

• OSX Lion full screen app

Hi Adobe,
I'd love to see the OSX Lion full screen app functionality built into LR4. Just as a shortcut to the full screen version I use of LR3 everyday. It would also free up a nother desktop for me.
Thanks.

• Mountain Lion Dual screen window Full screen problem?

I could not upgrade from Snow Leopard to Lion on my iMac because dual screen operation was broken when a window on one screen was set to full screen. Has this been fixed in Mountain Lion?

• Every time I open Firefox 8.01, on my WinXP laptop, the "bookmarks" toolbar disappears but the checkmark in the view/toolbars menu is still checked when I reopen it, just no bookmarks toolbar showing on screen, Is There A Fix For This?

I've tried everything including reinstalling Firefox. It began after a new WinXP update. If I go into the view file and uncheck, then check the bookmarks toolbar it shows up and functions fine but to have to do this every time I open the browser is annoying and it just started happening

Hi,
The "Tools" are in the old drop down menu, which are not shown by default in the new Firefox Design. To show this menu:
Firefox Menu > Customize
On the bottom left there will be Show/Hide Toolbars. The Menu will be listed here.

• Mountain Lion mirroring - screen resolution problems

I've just upgraded to Mountain Lion and am no longer able to set the screen resolutions on the iMac monitor and my Sony LCD 46" to mirror properly. Previously it worked very well by selecting the highest resolution for both the iMac and the TV - but now selecting those resolution settings no longer mirror properly. I've also tried other resolution combinations with limited success. When the iMac looks good - the mirrored TV monitor does not or vice versa.
Any suggestions or directions/instructions would be appreciated.
Thanks..

You should have checked it before upgrading to Mountain Lion. Apple says that AirPlay Mirroring requires some hardware video encoding capabilities of 2nd and 3rd generation Intel Core processor, making all the 2010 and early Macs unsupported, but we don't know why AirParrot can stream on all the computers

• When logging in to hotmail, a new window opens and the bookmarks toolbar disappears.

Using Firefox 8.0.1 on an iMac. When I open Firefox, the bookmarks toolbar is fine, but when I login to Hotmail, it opens a new window and the toolbar disappears.
Under the View menu, the bookmarks toolbar is still checked but the toolbar isn't there.

Websites '''''can''''' suppress the appearance of toolbars on popup windows that they open.
Do you really need the Bookmarks Toolbar to appear when viewing your email at Hotmail?
If so, Type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter.
''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''
Filter = '''dom.disable_window_open_feature.toolbar''' = double-click that pref to toggle it to '''true''' and then restart Firefox.

• Bookmarks toolbar disappear firefox 24

All my bookmarks are disappearing periodically (2-3 times) from my bookmark toolbar using Firefox 24 OS Win 7 64 bit.
My solution is to select View/Toolbars from the menu bar, deselect "Bookmarks Toolbar". Then go back into View/Toolbars and reselect "Bookmarks Toolbar". Then all of my toolbar bookmarks re-appear.
I am seeing users report similar issues and wonder if my simple fix will work for them. If I determine what causes this in the first place, I will repost my findings.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
To Enable SafeMode
*You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
*''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox"; Linux: "Firefox/File > Quit")

• After upgrading to OSX Mountain Lion the movie preview app has disappeared. Anyone know why?

The movie preview app that had a red chair as an icon has disappeared from my tool bar after upgrading to Mountain Lion. Does anyone know why this happened?

You might try Movist I can't personally recommend it.
I never used Front Row feature, myself.

• OSX mountain lion and screen savers

I currently have OSX lion, and was wondering if I will lose all my pre-downloaded desktop screen pictures (the galaxy, elephant, grass...etc) from Lion if I upgrade to mountain Lion.

I see the spiraling nebula, Lion, elephant, grass, etc. pictures here in ML 10.8.2. If you have a folder of pictures, that contains one or more additional picture folders, ML will only image the top folder with screen saver. The types of slideshows have changed too.
Suggest you find someone running ML and take a look.

• Mountain Lion: Messages/Screen Sharing

I am currently using OS Lion IChat as it allows me to do screensharing to help my technically-challenged mother. I understand that in Mountain Lion iChat has gone away, absorbed into Messages. Does Messages/iChat, whatever the new flavor, still support screensharing? I want to know this before upgrading to Mountain Lion. If not I am likely to stick with Lion.

HI,
Messages is basically iChat+ and will do everything that iChat does PLUS the iMessages bit to iOS devices (And other people using Apple IDs in Messages)
Menus such as the Video menu (for Screen Sharing) look very similar
It is fair to say that not everything is in the same place but it is not hard to adjust.
