Mountain Lion keeps signing me out of twitter

Mountain Lion keeps signing me out of twitter or I get an error when on Twitter saying something went wrong reload this page. Very annoying - anyone else having this problem?

It is one of the new twitter for ML features. you have to make interesting posts or it will sign you out. It was designed to reduce the amount of crap that gets posted

In cases like this, if you have an Apple store near by, they will most likely install the OS free of charge for you, if you can't bring your Apple ID along to prove you've paid for it.
Would that work out for you?

mountain lion keeps saying downloading but nothing ever happens.  What do i do?

    Hey cwicke11,
Try installing mountain lion in a new user. It will install on all users anyways.
To create a new user click >System Prefrences>Users & Groups(Or Accounts)>Unlock the lock in the lower left hand corner and click the plus above it. Name the user anything you want you can get rid of that user later.
Just log into new user and open the App store. Sign in with your Apple ID and go into the "Purchases" tab at the top. Download Mountain Lion from there and you should be good.

Any suggestions about what can I do to see both Twitter and Facebook menus at the top in the noticiation center as is supposed to be according to the Mountain Lion features video that Apple has posted on its website.
    Thanks,

  • I would like to install Mountain Lion when it comes out...

I have a late 2010 MBA 13 with 2GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD running OSX Snow Leopard. I'd like to install Mountain Lion when it comes out. I've heard that I must have OSX Lion first. I've always backed up my Mac using Time Machine to an external HDD, and the backups are current. My question is, I'd like a successful install of Lion, so that when ML comes out, I can buy and install that. My computer has two seperate user accounts, one for my wife and one for myself. We both use this computer and I don't want to mess any of her files, settings, etc up with either upgrade.
Would I be safe performing a backup, then buying Lion from the Mac App Store and installing it? What problems would I run into? When ML comes out, will that be an easy upgrade also?
    Ryan

You actually DON'T need to have Lion installed in order to installed Mountain Lion. You can do it right from Snow Leopard.
But if you want to install Lion beforehand(which at this point I would just say to wait for ML), then yes, backup your Macintosh HD to an external hard drive or just use Time Machine, and that will back up both user accounts.

  • MacOS X Mountain Lion keeps forgetting wallpaper

    Hi,
on my iMac (Model 2012) Mountain Lion keeps forgetting my wallpaper setting. I set it to show a random image from the default background desktop images coming with Mac OSX.
After a restart but also randomly when waking the iMac up, the desktop background is blue again. If I then check the wallpaper setting, I can see that "Random order" is still ticked. But the checkmark at "Change image daily" is gone.
Does anybody know this problem and has an idea for a fix?
    Best,
    René

I suspect that there's a problem with the Desktop settings file, so you must delete it. First, open Finder, select Go menu (on the menu bar) > Go to Folder, and type ~/Library/Preferences.
Then, delete "com.apple.desktop.plist" and "com.apple.systempreferences.plist", and restart. Finally, that problem shouldn't appear anymore

  • Mac Book Pro keeps signing me out of university wifi

I am having a slight problem that my mac keeps signing me out of the university wifi. When on other wifi networks I am having no problems at all and for the previous year have never had a problem with it on the university wifi either.  It is currently running on mavericks.
Any help would be appreciated before it goes out the window.
    Thanks

As I hinted.. dropouts of wireless are not unusual at all on the AC model.. and AFAIK there is not much in the way of a fix.
The ipad might be using 2.4ghz which will work better than 5ghz.
Do a full factory reset of the TC.
Give it all short names, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Including a different name for the 5ghz band. I want to try and force bands to see if it is only 5ghz giving trouble.
Then set channels for the 2.4ghz.. try in turn, 11, 6, 1 in that order.
Setting bands for 5ghz does nothing apparently..
Join the MBP to the 2.4ghz and see if it suffers the same problems.. if so that is not it..
Then I think you might need to check the MBP as it might have issues.. did you upgrade install Mavericks? Did the issue exist before mavericks if you did upgrade?

  • Skype keeps signing me out on my iPad 2

I would like to leave my Skype account logged in so people can reach me, however the app keeps signing me out after I switch to another application. I never used to have this problem, but it is interfering with my keeping in touch with out-of-country friends.
I have up-to-date iOS and Skype app. All I want is a solution to my account being automatically logged out when it used to allow me to stay logged in (even in the background) until *I chose to log out*...

Please notice there is two different issues here. The constantly logging out issues is already in many other treads, please keep them alive there.<br>What this guy asking is the same problem I have, and it is not a new issue:<br><br>When using the newest Skype on IPad 2, it is only logged in when you are in the app. Shortly after you start using another app Skype is logging out. Result; you can only use Skype for IPad if that is the only thing you are using your IPad for.<br><br>In other words you cannot get calls or live chat except you know it will be coming. This practically makes Skype useless.<br><br>Any idea of a soultion or whatever microsoft know it is an issue?<br><br>(The soultion is to divert all calls to your phone and tranfer chat as text message, but it is not free)

  • YouTube keeps signing me out... why?

I recently deleted my old YouTube account and opened a new one (not important why). Anyways, now my phone keeps signing me out of the new YouTube account almost every time after I exit the app. I'm forced to re-enter all my info anytime I want to use it. Any idea why this keeps happening and if there's a potential solution?

  • Apple mail in Mountain Lion keeps asking to sign in.

    Hello,
Ever since I updated my software to mountain lion, I had numerous problems with apple mail and the messages application. First of all, my apple mail was running fine before the update and every since I updated the software, it keeps asking me to type in my password and sign in every 15-20 minutes. It's not really a major issue, however it's certantly annoying. Secondly, my messages application has trouble sending imessages through the computer. Sometimes the message delivers but most of the time there is a red exclamation mark next to my messages. If I click the exclamation mark, there is an error message that says "Message cannot be delivered, would you like to try again?". Again, it's not really a major issue but certantly annoying.
Mountain Lion is a great asset to apple products, however it still lacks in some aspects. Does anyone have any solutions to the problems listed above? or is it just minor bugs apple forgot to fix?
    Thank you!

Delete the email account from Mail and then add it back again.
You've provided no information about who is providing your email service, i.e., Gmail, iCloud, yahoo, etc.
If you have an IMAP account, deleting it and adding it back has no risks.
If you have a POP account and have downloaded mail to your Mac, then deleting the account risks deleting that mail.

  • Late 09 MB Pro 13" now on Mountain Lion keeps crashing (spinning wheel) and getting VERY hot. Even Safe Mode slow to work. Managed a back up last night and wondering should I put the original ios disc back in to take it back to SL. Advice appreciated!

    Hi
For past year or so my mac book has been getting gradually worse. Spinning wheel, and overheating, last night I had trouble just getting it to start in Safe Mode (been using the on/off button a lot lately!)
Problem may be related to media - iMovie followed by iPhoto are the most likely programs to bring everything to a stop but not always.
I'm not an expert although I did figure out how to re install the operating system from the partition with help from this forum a couple of months ago but it didn't fix the problem.
The iOS is Mountain Lion (via Lion)
I managed to do a back- up last night and now wondering if I should re- install Snow Leopard from the original discs that came with the laptop.
Got a lot of media on there (replaced the 250gb drive with a  Samsung 1tb a while back which is less than half full.
Never had to use any of my back-ups before so:
If I re install the original operating system will I be able to be selective in what I put back on later?
    and -
Will there be any issues putting a Mountain Lion back-up into a Snow Leopard iOS?
A lot of whats there isn't needed but don't want to lose it completely.
    Advice appreciated thanks

Back up all data immediately as your boot drive may be failing.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
syslog -k Sender kernel -k Message CReq 'GPU|I/O' | tail | open -ef
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V).
The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.
A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. Normally the window will be empty. If you get output like this:
    kernel[0] <Debug>: disk0s2: I/O error
the boot drive is failing, or there's some other hardware fault in the storage subsystem.
If you get output like this:
    kernel[0] <Debug>: ** GPU Debug Info Start **
    kernel[0] <Debug>: ** GPU Debug Info End **
there's a fault in the graphics processor or logic board. The two kinds of output are not mutually exclusive, but if you get both, a logic-board fault is likely.
