Mountain Lion probs with iPhone and Camera
I made an update from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion and now my laptop does not see my Canon Camera, "no camera found" wich is not to bad, cause i can still reach it with the canon software. But when i connect my iPhone 4 is does say "no camera found" too and that is it. I cannot synchronise, exchange my ebooks or upload my pictures from my phone. Any sollution for this beside downgrading to Snow Leopard?

Does the OS X Mountain Lion upgrade include iPhones and iPads?
This is probably a dumb question, but does the OS X Mountain Lion upgrade automatically include iPhones and iPads?
I don't know quite what you mean. Mountain Lion is for Macs and has nothing directly to do with iPhones and iPads at all.

Mountain lion USB devices issues and Cam
Hey Guys,
Since updated to ML, started having an issues with many USB devices, (Apple wire Keyboard, Razer Deathadder mouse, iPhone, NI Maschine, Guitar Rig Mobile), basically everything that is connected over USB bus. As well as Web cam, not sure how its connected internally but looks like over USB as well. Mentioned above devices sporadically getting hanged and becoming not available and I have to reboot the whole iMac (this is insane!!!). My is iMac 27-inch, Mid 2010 (3.2 x2 cores, 8GB of RAM). In general, system super slow, Terminal is lagging when openning (its simple Bash, changed to zsh by default, much better), didn't had such issues on Lion nor on Snow Leo.
Please help! what can be done to fix this? Should I roll back to Lion? When will be an update for those type of lags? this is epic fail.
Best regards,Another iTunes 11 crash. Something as simple as downloading one new app to the iPod Touch 5.
Memory seems to really climb when searching iTunes store. -

Is anyone else having trouble after thy downloaded Mountain lion x with iMessages mine isnt linking to my computer because it keeps saying i have a registration error. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it
HI,
People who have had computer that has had the Logic/motherboard replaced during repair or refurbishment that has not has the Mac Serial Number Flashed to the board have found that iMessage in particular have not been able to "register".
A current purchase of Mountain Lion will tend to give you the latest version which as of Thursday (12 th Mar) is OS X 10.8.3
You can use System Information to find if the Serial Number is there as it appears under the Hardware section.
If it is missing you need to get to an Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider who can flash the info to the board.

I have been asked to set up an Icloud account by Apple.
How will having another icloud email benefit me. I have my work email which is all i require, but had to set up a @me account to get email on my Macbook.
I have a Mac computer that i upgraded to Mountain lion, a macbook pro and an iPhone 4s which has the latest software. all i want is simplicity and to have one email account which which will not duplicate everything 4 or 5 times.
My notes are duplicated, i have to delete my emails individually on all devices so whenever i put my phone on, all the emails i have deleted at work re-appear on my phone and again the same thing happens on my Macbook pro. I seem to spend all my time deleting emails 3 times.
Is there something simple in the set up of these that i am missing?
Any help would be appreciatedI have been asked to set up an Icloud account by Apple.

can someone pls help me with java on my macbook pro because after i download the mountain lion java has died and i need java to see streaming quotes from stock market
Java is no longer included in Mac OS X by default. If you want Java, you will have to install it.
However, note that you should think twice before installing Java for such a trivial need as looking at stock market quotes. There are other ways to get that information that don't involve Java, and using Java in your web browser is a HUGE security risk right now. Java has been vulnerable to attack almost constantly for the last year, and has become a very popular, frequently used method for getting malware installed via "drive-by downloads." You really, truly don't want to be using it. See:
Java is vulnerable… Again?!

Does Mountain Lion come with an Apache server and if so how do I access it?
On my previous Mac there was a check box for web sharing in the Sharing System Preferences. I used this to experiment with HTML website design. How do I do this on my new Mac?Thanks for the reply. Others have asked similar questions. I was directed to a user tip page
by etresoftThat gives step by step instructions which should solve my problem. -
I have mountain lion 10.8.4 and want to find how congested are channels 1-13 on my router. How do I do this please?
I'd suggest you get WiFi Explorer from the Mac App Store. For only $3.99 I find it well worth the cost for the ease of use and better info in relation to the built-in tools.
Regards.

Does Mountain Lion Server sync Notes and Reminders?
I'm thinking of upgrading a server and wanted to know if Mountain Lion would sync Notes and Reminders like iCloud does in Mountain Lion? I'd like to stay out of the "Cloud" as much as possible... "Cloud" just means "someone else's servers" and since we have our own, why in the world would we use someone else's when we can use our own.... if we can (and then there's the entire issue of privacy, but I digress).
Thanks,
-WernerOpen the notes application on your phone. On the top left of the screen select "Accounts." Your notes have probably been saved to the folder "on my iphone." In order for them to sync with your other devices you need to copy your notes from the folder "on my iphone" to "icloud"
Hope this helps! -
Mountain Lion & compatibility with your s'ware
Before you upgrade to this dubiousdelevopment have a look at:
http://www.extremetech.com/computing/90480-upgrading-to-os-x-lion-potential-prob lems-and-how-to-avoid-them
and:
http://roaringapps.com/apps:table/p/1
Could be that we might have to replace a frightening amount of software!!I had not upgraded before I made the original coment. Took perhaps too much notice of the problems others had experienced.
So, being aware of the lack of security updates I updated, with the help of the Call Desk as, as I really did not have the latest version of 10.6.8 I was given advice of how to get the real one.
Worked a treat, no compatibility probs with the s'ware I have. Lucky may be. Mountain Lion fast, easily configured and controlable. Me - can't fault it.
Best find out for yourself aye? -
After upgrading to Mountain Lion, I repurchased Garageband and I can't get passed the complete installation. I've read through several posts that all reference the "com.apple.garageband.plist" solution. I don't seem to have the referenced .plist. Any solutions or suggestions?
Did you upgrade from SnowLeopard?
I can't get passed the complete installation
What exactly is happening? Is GarageBand trying to download over and over again?
all reference the "com.apple.garageband.plist" solution. I don't seem to have the referenced .plist.
The property list stores your preferences, but also the settings from the last run of the application. If that file is corrupted in some way, you might see third behaviour.
You must have this file, for it will be recreated automatically, if it is missing, or you have a permissions problem with your user library.
Perhaps you did look in he wrong place.
in MacOS 10.7. or later the User Library is hidden. To find the Preferences Files use the Finder's "Go" menu:
Quit GarageBand, if it is running.
Click onto you Desktop to bring the Finder forward.
In the Finder Menu press "Go" and hold down the "option/alt" key, until your user library appears in the drop-down menu
Select "Library" and in the Finder window that opens navigate to the "Prederences" folder; move com.apple.garageband.plist to the Desktop.
Log off and on again (don't skip that step!). Retry GarageBand and see if it GarageBand is now downloading the missing content properly.
If that does not fix the problem, post back and explain in more detail what the download problem is.
Why did you "repurchase" GarageBand? If you already owned GarageBand '11, it should be unnecessary.
Regards
Léonie
