Mountains and nearest neighbor do not mix
Note - this is not an Oracle question - but something as food for thought. Appropriate I think as graph is now a big component of the product...
While on vacation in Colorado last week, we decided to head up to Crested Butte to see a local play production. My wife, searching for a local motel on a site I will not name, found one with great ratings that was quite reasonable and about "30 miles" away. Not being from Colorado, she went ahead and booked it, and then told me where it was. I shook my head. That is no where near 30 miles away, at least by road - it is on the other side of the mountain!
Obviously this company uses a point to point with nearest neighbor "as the crow flies" method. While simple points might work reasonably well for small areas, say in a city road grid, it is a horrible solution for larger areas and places like Colorado. With mountains that take hours to drive around, those 30 miles or so turn out to be 90 miles of road and take about 3 hours to drive based on posted speeds!
Needless to say, I was upset. After spending almost an hour on the phone to get this all straightened out and the bill credited, I thought I'd point this out. Not only for "buyer beware" - but mainly as a good example of what not to do when designing map-based systems for consumers. KISS is usually a good approach, but in this case it is a horrible one when a road network with speeds AKA network data model graph solution is required.

Thinking further, even in a city grid you have one-way streets, parks, longer blocks, etc., which can make the real distance (by road) much further than "as the crow flies". So I'm not sure nn is really good for any such "close to me" analysis tool.

If you have separate windows user profile, each profile will maintain their own data. You can create outlook account for your wife in her profile and your account on your profile, it will not mix up.

Sorry to say it, but I think you can see from Bob's response that there's no way to solve this rapidly.
Did you take an image of your Mountain Lion install before upgrading to Yosemite? Roll back to that. If you're not in the habit of taking a snapshot of your system before performing operating system upgrades - get in that habit. If you are dependent on anything at all on hour computer, having a reliable backup method in place is essential. If you don't have a Time Capsule, or some other way to run Time Machine onto a disk that's not in your computer, go set that up yesterday.
If you can't just remove Yosemite and roll back to Mountain Lion for whatever reason, you can partition your drive so that you can install both Yosemite and Mountain Lion on the same drive, and then boot into Mountain Lion when you need to work in CS5. Or you can take your Mountain Lion disc (I assume you have one, no?) and then use it to create a virtual machine in something like VirtualBox to run Mountain Lion from inside Yosemite. -

I upgraded from the app store. It is actually quite awhile ago so I do not remember how. I think I used a thumbdrive to create some type of file. No I do not have any backups. My iLife CD is nowhere to be found because this is a very old macbook pro that I've had for a couple years.

Since downloading OS X Mountain Lion my WordSearch9 will not open. I got a message saying that X11 was not supported and directed to a site to download an update "XQuartz" which I did. Now when I try to launch WordSearch9 I get a message "X11 cannot be found". I did follow the instructions to download and install XQuartz, but there still seems to be a problem. Anyone have an idea?
Your report indicates Mountain Lion, but your footer indicates Lion. I'll assume you're on 10.8.2; on the current Mountain Lion version.
Rebooting is fine.
The posted diagnostics look like there might be a problem with the Xquartz install, or it is not starting, or it's not authorized for the sandbox. (But I don't know enough about that to be certain.)
Try launching X11.app directly from your Applications > Utilities folder, and see if that works, or if shows any dialog boxes, or that reports any errors.
If you had an Xquartz kit installed and it's not the 2.7.4 (current) Xquartz kit, then please update to that version. (I'm assuming that site is where you got your Xquartz kit from, too.)
I'd also suggest also discussing this more directly with the Xquartz folks via mailing list or the IRC channel, or collecting up the Xquartz logs and then posting a bug over at the Xquartz site; here are the details on bug reporting for Xquartz. -

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
After this is completed download and install 10.8.4 Mountain Lion Update v10.8.4 (Combo).
If this doesn't work, then reinstall Mountain Lion:

What you posted is rather vague. By doesn't work do you mean the applications don't open at all or are you getting a message stating that your product needs activation? If it's product activation then that is something that Microsoft will have to assist you with. If your problem is that the applications simply won't open you may have to uninstall and reinstall Office again. This is common on the Windows platform too. Rarely when you upgrade to a new OS Office sometimes has an issue with the upgrade and won't open correctly. I would suggest merely uninstalling and reinstalling. Nine times out of ten that helps. -
Mountain Lion and Time Machine does not work
After Mountain Lion upgrade I was able to backup once using Time Machine. Now TM suggest that I need 42 TB for my backup?!? I have 1TB hard disk on my Mac which has about 600GB of data on it. Time machine prepares the backup for around 10 minutes and then gives an error that my backup disk is too small (1.5TB) because the size of the backup would be 42TB. :-o I have booted my Mac, repaired permissions and searched for internet for tips. However, no luck until now. Any suggestions what could work?
Boot into Recovery (command-R at startup), launch Disk Utility, select the startup volume, and run Repair Disk (not Repair Permissions.) If any problems are found, repeat. Then reboot as usual.

How to burn an iMovie to DVD without losing quality? I have iMovie 10.0.5 and iMac 10.9.4 mountain lion. I do not have iDVD. After iMovie goes through the encoding process, quality is horrible. How can I fix this problem? I have tried the apps BURN and DVD Creator for MAC. I need to finish this DVD asap and becoming more and more frustrated. Why would Apple give us iMovie and not provide us an app to burn it to a DVD and / or take away the iDVD?

To burn a DVD with iDVD from the latest version of iMovie, you have to export the movie using the Export button and select 480p as the size. Open iDVD and start a new project, then drag that exported movie file into the iDVD menu window, avoiding any drop zones you see.
