Mouse and touch pad not responding/working?

the entire touch pad doesnt work when using the computer. also when a mouse is plugged in that doesnt work either!...... but both work fine when in the lenovo help section, (when pressing the lenovo help button) they only dont work from the login section and when logged in.
HELP!!!

I am facing similar problem. However it is little different. My touch pad stopped working just within 3 months after buying this product. Now the problem is no body is taking responsibility of this kind of problems customers are facing. Here the real problem is my blue light at the touch pad has also stopped working.
I believe it means, it must have some hardware problem. Now it is almost more than 8 months to this product and am still struggling with this problem. The only good part of it is, here my usb mouse is still working.
One more thing i would like to know here, how can i find lenovo help key you mentioned in your querry? Please guide someone to get rid of this problem.

All button and touch pad not working except power button

I face the problems that all button and touch pad not working after power on or wake up from sleep state except power button. And i have make the system sleep and wake again so that the mac book air can working as normal( mouse can move and button got response).

Sometimes electrical components needs to have all power sources removed and reintroduced to work properly. Try performing a hard reset first, if it doesn't work then we'll move to the next step.
To Perform A Hard Reset
Shut down the computer by going to the Start menu and selecting shut down. (If you have no display, hold the power button down for 5 seconds); (if the computer doesn't power on, move to the next step)
Disconnect the AC Adapter from the notebook.
Remove the battery from the bottom of the notebook. There will be a switch/button to eject the battery.
Wait at least 1 minute with all power sources disconnected.
Re-insert the battery and reconnect the AC Adapter and then attempt to power on the notebook.

Keyboard and Touch-Pad Not Working After Having to Install New Hard Drive

I had to install a new hard drive in my HP Pavillion DV9700t that has Vista Home Premium 64-bit. After going through the recovery process with backup disk the built in keyboard and touch-pad do not work. During the installation, an error message came up saying something along the lines of "the drivers are not supported by this verison of windows because they are unsigned." The drivers that had that error were "hpqkbfiltr keyboard filter driver," "HP remote control HID Device," and "hpqkdfilter driver." I tried to update the drivers for the keyboard from the hp website, but the keyboard and touch-pad still do not work.
My question is, where do I find the digitally signed drivers for the keyboard and touch-pad that Vista won't flag and disable?

When dealing with MS Fix It, I was choosing run. Upon further investigation on that site, there really isn't a scan that applies to my issue anyways I tried the .NET Framework repair tool, and that seemed to work. It told me to try re-running what I was having issues with, so I tried running the Windows PowerShell again, but again was faced with the following message "windows update standalone installer encountered an error: 0xc8000247." I went back to the .NET screen and hit "Next" because it didn't work, and that responded by saying they were going to submit logs to Microsoft. I won't hold my breath on that one.
I'm to the point where I honestly don't care anymore. I have no idea what to do, because doing a clean install with the discs HP sent me isn't going to help because they are just recovery discs, and not an actual Windows disk. This is the second hard drive I have had to put into my laptop and use those recovery disks on in the last 3-years. The built-in keyboard hasn't worked during that time frame on either hard drive. I don't think the recovery disks I was sent install properly. Not sure where to go from here. I spent way too much money on this laptop years ago having it custom built to handle all of my drafting programs, so I don't want to just kick it to the curb. I was looking into the possibility of just replacing it, but I cannot stand the Windows 8 interface.
I guess I should have fixed the issue with the keyboard on this hard drive before loading all of my programs. Between the recovery disk install, formatting of the hard drive, and installing all of my programs it took well over 12 hours. Not really looking forward ot that again Then there's shockwave and flash and all of the other goodies that my recovery disks won't restore anyways.
Sorry if this seems like a negative post, but I'm just tired of trying to no avail. Maybe I should just take it somewhere to get it looked at, but I can't see them being successful if the recovery disks won't help anyways.

USB NOT WORKING AND TOUCH PAD NOT WORKING

On right click often touch pad is stop working untill restart.
I have tried those drivers:
sp65476.exe(win 7) , sp69619.exe(win 7), sp67332.exe(win 8.1) 64bit .
During installation it prompts PCI Device Driver not installed.

Key pad and Touch pad not working.

I can really use some help. I was working on my laptop last Friday when I received a Blue Screen of DEATH. Now the Key pad and Touch pad are not working. I rebooted the system... ,nothing. Updated the drivers again...NADA. I even re-formatted and re-installed The OS. All to no Avail. Is there hope or bury it?

My new HP Pavilion dm4-1160 US model touch pad not working fully . Its scrolling power got completely slow .It responds very late and its scroll up and scroll down not responding at all and even its image enlarge in and out feature not responding .

First, download the latest Synaptics driver installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.

Next, open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry 'Synaptics Pointing Device Driver' and select Uninstall.
When this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has fully reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click the Synaptics installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, restart the notebook again.

Pro L10: After using a wireless mouse, the touch pad has stopped working

Pro L10. After using a wireless mouse, the built in touch pad has stopped working properly. On start up the touch pad icon shows and the touch pad operates intermittently, after a few minuets the icon disappears and the touch pad stops functioning. In the control panel/mouse & or device drive I can the program operating and then disappears.
I have removed the software and reinstalled to no avail. On occasions I get a message to say that another pointer is in operation.
Can you help?

It seems that the wireless mouse or the wireless mouse drivers/software has a bad influence on the touchpad.
I dont have a proper solution for this issue. Well, you can check the Toshiba driver page for newest driver updates. If the updates doesnt solve this issue so I suggest to use either the wireless mouse and disable the touchpad with the key combination FN+F9 or to use a common USB mouse.
I assume that you dont have any problems with a common USB mouse.

Qosmio G30 - keybored and touch pad not working

I have a G30 and I have just replaced the DVD drive as my old one stopped working and now my touch pad and keyboard dont work.
The keyboard works in the BIOS. However it dosnt work in windows so I cant even login. I have tryed FN F9 but had no luck and I cant reformat my computer as the DVD drive has only just been put in.
I cant use that either because there are no drivers for it on the computer and its not being picked up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks :)

Have you tried external input devices? I mean an external keyboard an mouse.
Why you cant reinstall Windows? You dont need a driver for the DVD drive. You just need the Toshiba recovery disk and boot from it. Follow the instructions on the screen and it starts to reinstall Windows.

CD, SD card reader and Touch pad not working

Hi, I have a mid 2009 MacBookPro. Some months ago my touch pad started to play up, it works sometimes but does not let me move screens around etc, then my SD card reader stopped reading any SD cards, I have tried pushing it in a number of times, I have attempted to use it with iPhoto open, no joy. Now my CD drive is not working and does recognise any disc I put in. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on????

iam using 9300 handset and its hasn't been a year since I bought it. iam facing lot of software problems and my touch pad is not working properly. I bought this set from Dubai and iam using it in India, bangalore. When I went to the BB service center they said they do not accept international handset. Kindly tell me what should I do now!

Hp Pavillon dv7 keyboard and touch pad won't work!!!!

My touch pad and keyboard on my laptop will not work unless i how the power button for a minute while no power is hooked up.

The keyboard and mouse (touchpad) are separate devices which could go bad at the same time but that would be a huge coincidence. I would try reseating the ribbon cables to the motherboard for both. Here is the Service Manual:

Hey I just updated my computer from hp health check and now my built in key board and mouse are not working. I tried restarting it and even taking out the battery holding the power button for 30 sec and that didn't even work so now I'm stuck on what to do and my web browser says I can't talk to any one live at the moment. Please help I have a paper I need to type by friday and this usb keyboard doesn't work very well.

If the touchpad isn't working, try resetting the player, but it's likely that there is a problem with the unit. When did you buy it's Did you buy it in a store (or online) or secondhand It may still have warranty.

Z30 Touch Screen not responding/ working

Hey guys,This is my 2nd blackberry z30 phone I have purchased. I think abit of moisture may have gotten into the phone and now the screen won't respond to touch, or unlock.
Everything in the phone works fine.I tried leaving the phone in rice for one night. No change.Now im clearing my phone and doing a factory reset. If worst comes to worst, I will send it back under warranty. Any suggestions??

Applying power to your BB between it getting wet and doing this process reduces the chances of success. Further, the only thing predictable about moisture intrusion into a BB (indeed, any electronic device) is that the results will be unpredictable. I've seen some come back up right away and be fine. I've seen others never work at all. I've seen still others run for a bit, and then die later. And every thing in between. Now, since you left it in only overnight AND powered it up before the treatment was complete, the chances of success have diminished exponentially. Further, since you state it has moisture damage, that may or may not be covered by your warranty (though no one here can know the contractual terms of your specific warranty...but such is normally not covered).
