Mouse can't click on certain menu options

Hello all,
So, while I've enjoyed getting into Premiere Pro at home (use FCP at work), I've been having interface issues.
For some reason, both CS4 and CS5 have had issues with my mouse clicking buttons in menus and browser windows. It's not every button, but a lot, most aggravating when I want to select another option for choosing video settings for my projects or my exports (otherwise the default compresses down my HD movie files). Just clicking the space in a new project window to title a new sequence is not working, requiring me to tab through with the keyboard.
The weird thing is, my Logitech mouse (T-BC21) does not give me any problems with anything else. No issues with left or right click at all.
The only other answer to this type of issue I've found is to mess with WindowBlinds (a program/plugin I don't believe I even have, and besides that, there's rumors of bad adware etc. being tied to that junk).
This is really getting in the way of using this as my home program, and several of the other programs in the Creative Suite seem to be having the same issue. I believe I've fully updated my programs, but I'll double-check that in addition to anything else people recommend.
Any advice on fixing this would be great.

The sequence title area in yellow? Nope. Click that, it's de-selected, and no typing can happen until I've tabbed back around to it.
Can I click the scratch disks tab? Nope.

Can I click the folders, folder tabs, options, or windows? Nope. And therein lies the major problem. The same thing occurs when I try the export settings menu options.
Can I click the "General" and "Tracks" tabs? Oddly yes (http://img860.imageshack.us/i/cs5diagnostic7.png/), even though I couldn't when it was the Scratch Disks.

Can't click on certain options like log-out, that are usually located at the top of a website. They are frozen, and firefox doesn't allow me to click on them. It works fine with other browsers.

Problems with buttons and links at the top of the page not working can be caused by an extension like the Yahoo! Toolbar or a Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

So the menu bar reads iChat, File, Edit, View, Buddies, Video, Window and Help
There is no Buddy List open.
There is no other window for iChat open.
In the iChat Menu you only have access to Status.
Is an item ticked in the list ?
Is this a green (Available item) or Red ( an Away one) ?
Can you access the Accounts option ? (Sitll in the iChat Menu)
Is anything in here ticked ?
In the Window menu any Logged in account should appear in the list (Between the Next Chat and File Transfer items)
It would be useful to know which version of iChat this is.
If no account is ticked (iChat Menu > Accounts) or not showing in the Window Menu, plus you cannot determine the Status and you cannot access the Preferences then you need to access your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
As the Library in the Home Holder is Invisible in Lion you will need the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder option (you can use it in earlier OS versions if you want)
Type in:-
~/Library/Preferences
Find the file called com.apple.ichat.plist
Drag it to the Trash and Restart iChat.
This will lose all the settings in iChat that you have changed from Defaults but there is no way around this.

This is sometimes caused by Bad Blocks on the Hard Drive.
If 10.7, hold down Command-R at startup, and choose Disk Utility.
If 10.6 or earlier, boot to the Installer/Utilities DVD, answer only the "what language" question and wait for the MenuBar to be drawn. Choose Disk Utility from the Utilities Menu.
Select your Hard drive by Make & Model and check the SMART Status (lower right of the right window). Choose "Repair Disk" . This ONLY examines and repairs the Directory area of the drive, but may improve things a bit. If errors cannot be repaired, you may need a stronger tool, or a new drive.

My mouse can not click to anything left, right or the middle mouse button does not work

I am using a 24 inch imac and the problem is suddenly my mouse can not click to anything left, right or the middle mouse button does not work i can see cursor moving and i can use the features of the keyboard but my mouse dies. I tried to plug in another mouse magic trackpad and my tablet but each has the same problem. I can not click to anything but cursor is moving and computer is not frozen. I have to shut it off from the power button when this happens. Do you have any idea what can cause this and how can i fix this?

Can't click the action menu in a configuration view

Hi Everyone,
I've a problem that I can't click the action menu in a configuration view to display the actions, but can do this if I using the <thtmlb:actionMenu> tag.
Does anybody know why? I'm using CRM 7.01 and IE9.

service permissions (in this example the service permission "Layout") are required only when setting a default depiction for all users. I am trying to personalize the folder only for my user id. According to the documentation, I don't need any service permissions, I need only read permission on the folder (which I do have).
My problem is that when I go to the Details tab for the folder, I don't see any layout profile. Any other ideas?
and by the way, I do not see the menu item Service Permissions when clicking the Settings menu. I have activated the layout and serviceacl services in the KM Repository Manager for the folder.

Why can't I record certain blending options using actions?

I'm trying to make some recordings/actions, which I've done alot before, but I can't get all of my blending options to record. Specifically the curves to my bevel & emboss and my contour....after playing the action, it will apply the DEFAULT bevel and won't remember any of my gloss contour settings. Can anyone explain why?
I also have a second question someone might know... I'm trying to make these actions universal, however when I select a layer to modify, it records the name of the layer I click on...so if i use the recording later on a different file and it doesn't have that same layer name, then the action won't work... is there some way around this?

It sounds like your recording adding layer styles. IMO is is not possible to record universal layer style Actions for layer style setting are absolute pixel values. To automate universal layer styles you would need a script where you can use logic to retrieve sizes and resolution so you can set the approbate layer style setting. When it come to actions you best off recording layer style for actions that deal with a particular document size. Like web size documents or for print size documents etc. Layer style can be scaled with menu options and image size check box. Sill Actions can not retrieve information about document to know how to scale layer styles.
When it come to layers better actions will reference layers in a relative manner rather then by name. You can select layers in a relative way like bottom top forward backward. You can also move layer in the layer stack in a relative manner. So you can add a layer it will be the current Photoshop target somewhere in the layer stack then you can move it to the top of the stack, know where it is. When you add an additional layer they will be on top and you can move it relative to the previous top you just added for you know its relative position.

Clicking on Netflix Menu Option Freezes ATV2

For the past two weeks, whenever I click on the Netflix menu option in Apple TV 2 it freezes the remote for about 5 minutes, after that it askes me to re-login into Netflix but never accepts it. I've tried power cycling, restoring, resetting, switching from cable to WIFI - nothing seems to work. Netflix does continue to work fine on my iPhone and computer. I have had this unit for about a year and haven't had any problems with it until now.

Yes, I can bring up the Paragraph Styles and the Character palettes with no document open, edit the [Basic Paragraph] style to change the font family, then open a blank document, and new text boxes will use that font.
I'm on a bit of a deadline right now, so I ended up uninstalling ID CS5 and reinstalling it. I can now successfully bring up the Edit menu and the right-click context menu both in a blank document and in the document I was working on before. I'm sure the problem will reappear again at some random point in the future, so I am still looking for fixes that don't involve reinstalling the app.
BTW, I have tried exporting my work document to IDML and re-importing it, but to no avail. I've also tried toggling Dynamic Spelling (past threads have suggested this as a possible fix), but also to no avail.
It would be really nice if Adobe products produced some sort of crash dump or bug report when this sort of thing happens...

My macpro buckled and broke up a year ago. A month ago got wet and I dried it near a heater. It froze and the mouse can not click the connection through. After three weeks I plugged in readjusted the date and it worked for about 20 minutes.. any idea?

My laptop macbook pro fell with me out of a truck and buckled last June 2012. It still worked although bent and open. A month ago it got wet and stop working and I dried it near a heater and it worked. The battery is dead. Then it froze on the screen the mouse can not grab the attention of the screen when it clicks. The track pad no longer responds and has buckled more. Then after three weeks of not touching it I plugged it in reset the date and connected and it worked. I began to back up my material and then it froze again.

Though the MBP may be disfigured, there is a real possibility that the HDD is still functional. Take it out of the MBP and place it in an enclosure and connect it to another Mac. You may be able to recover all of your data.

Magic mouse can't click, swipe or scroll?

hi, yesterday i bought my new magic mouse. it's installed and bluetooth connection works. also i've downloaded the upgrade for the magic mouse on the applesite.
when i move the mouse, it's also moving in the display. But i can't click, swipe, scroll or anything.
Anyone a solution or is this mouse just broken? thanks

deleted the file in /library/preferences reboot my imac en installed the mouse again and it didn't worked. I also went to an apple shop today and they told me the same (delete bluetooth.plist, reboot and install the mouse again)
They also told me that when this solution not works I will become a new mouse, so tomorrow I will go to the appleshop again to receive my new magicmouse!

Magic Mouse can't click

Recently my iMac (Intel, with Lion) won't react to mouse clicks. I can move the cursor but there is no reaction when I click. I have a Magic Mouse but I get the same result with a Logitech wireless mouse. Could it be related to my new metal and glass computer desk? I have a password on starting the iMac so I can't even get in past that.

Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.

Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.

Firefox does not work after update, all troubleshooting has been completed. Nothing can be clicked, not even the options in firefox.

Did you try a new profile?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

What does "javascript:void(0);" mean; iget it when i click on a menu option to do something and nothing gets done?

I'm not even sure this is a Firefox issue; on Epicurious.com there is an option to add a recipe to your recipe box. I've used it many times and it always worked, but since I upgraded to the newest Firefox I click on that link and the window at the bottom of the screen says "javascript:void(0); - and nothing happens. I'm using Windows XP pro.

javascript:void(0); in a link is usually a placeholder for an onclick action that is done by clicking the link. 
It is possible that the onclick JavaScript isn't compatible with Firefox 5 and needs updating.
