  • How can i open a link in new window (shift + Mouse Click) while not switching to the new window

    I want to open a new window (shift + Mouse Click) while not switching to the newly opened window. The focus should remain on the window from where i have opened the link.

    You can do that with tabs, but not with windows AFAIK.

    First check your settings.  If all is as it should be, reset the PRAM.

  • Mouse clicks do not register

    Over the past few weeks for no apparent reason mouse clicks will stop working on my Mac Pro. Generally speaking, clicking will work in the dock, system menu bar and sometimes a click on a background window of another application will bring to to the front. At other times clicking anywhere has zero effect.
    The mouse moves around the screen fine otherwise. I generally use an Apple wireless trackpad but once this problem occurs it doesn't matter what input device I use - a wired mouse, my wireless Wacom tablet, etc. - the problem remains. I can tab around within an application, fill in text fields or open files using the keyboard. But even using screen share and taking control of the desktop from my laptop the problem remains: clicking of any kind does not work. So it's not the input devices or their connections.
    On occasion I will hit command-option escape and force quit all applications and restart the finder and that will work. Other times not.The system remains responsive - no spinning beachballs etc. In the end I'm forced to restart the computer and everything returns to normal.
    Whats-a-going-on? Any ideas?

    Sorry, missed that...
    My point remains the same: if your hard-wired devices are known good, then you have a intermittent problem that resides either in the OS or in hardware.  The nexts step are along the lines of reseating all the boards, running hardware tests, etc. to try to determine if it's hardware or software before re-installing the operating system.
    The other option is to take it to an Apple qualified service guy. If you do that, I'd look for a Mac Pro specialist (someone who works on pro video or audio systems, etc) since most Apple Stores are mostly for iPads, not serious hardware.
    Good luck

  • Navigation is not happening Tab Strip control after execution of PAI

    Hi All,
    I'm facing a problem in my dialog program.
    Here I've a normal screen(200) which contains the tabstrip(3 tabs). Each tab has a subscreen area
    (named header_ref1, line_ref1 and scedule_ref1 respectively).
    screen 200's flow logic:
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
      CALL SUBSCREEN header_ref1 INCLUDING sy-repid '0210'.
      CALL SUBSCREEN line_ref1 INCLUDING sy-repid '0220'.
      CALL SUBSCREEN schedule_ref1 INCLUDING sy-repid '0230'.
      MODULE status_0200. "<- Here I've written the logic for changing the tab
    "like when okcode header->first tab,  line ->second tab
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
      CALL SUBSCREEN header_ref1.
      CALL SUBSCREEN line_ref1.
      CALL SUBSCREEN schedule_ref1.
      MODULE user_command_0200.
    When I simply navigate between these tabs(without entering anything), its fine and when I enter something in the first/second tab's subscreen and navigate to the other tabs then also navigation is fine.
    But when I enter something in the second tab nad trying to navigate to other tabs its not getting navigated. My second tab contains a table control.
    To summarize, after the PAI execution of second tab navigation is not happening between the tabs
    Helps to solve this problem are highly appreciated.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I suggest to do paging not in PBO but in PAI.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
      MODULE change_tab.
    MODULE change_tab. INPUT.
      save_ok = ok_code.
      CLEAR ok_code.
      my_tabstrip-activetab = save_ok.
      CASE save_ok.
        WHEN 'FC_TAB1'.   "<- function code of first tab
          g_dynnr = '0210'.
        WHEN 'FC_TAB2'.    "<- second
          g_dynnr = '0220'.
        WHEN 'FC_TAB3'.    "<- third
          g_dynnr = '0230'.
      ENDCASE.
    ENDMODULE.
    If that doens't help, remove your table control and check if that influence paging the tabs. If yes, then it has to be something with this table control i.e. mandatory fields are not filled or similar, which doesn't allow to leave the screen.

  • When-Mouse-Click does not fire if When-new-item-instance exists

    We are using Forms 6i Patch 12.
    The When-Mouse-Click trigger (at block level) is not getting fired when a When-new-item-instance trigger exists on a given item on which mouse is clicked.
    We need to synchronize keyboard and mouse events such that if the validation on certain key items fails, the cursor should go to one of the specified items as per the validation rules.
    The validation rules are different on leaving from different items. Complex validation rules require cursor to go to a different item than the current item on which the validation fires.
    Since go_item cannot be used in when-validate-item, we are using a combination of key-next-item and when-mouse-click.
    But, this strategy seems to fail if mouse is clicked over an item having a when-new-item-instance trigger.
    Also, we need the When-mouse-click trigger to fire before When-new-item-instance.
    Any pointers to solving the firing of trigger or strategy will be appreciated!

    Sanjiv

    This solution we have tried and it works also.
    However, we end up in another problem in the form. For overall picture, please see my latest post for "Forms Valid status" at Forms Valid status

  • Left mouse click does not work

    I have a mid-2010 Mac Book Pro 15", 8GB, Samsung 840 500GB SSD, w/ Mountain Lion.
    About four to six months ago I started having issues where the left mouse button would stop working when I left the computer on unattended (but not asleep) for extended periods of time.
    I have both a bluetooth keyboard and magic mouse connected most of the time, but when the issue occurs the button issue extends to both the external mouse and the on-system touch pad.
    The issue started at about the same time that I took my system in to be repaired after the harddisk started failing. The system has since had the OS reloaded (twice) and the replacement harddisk has since been replaced with and SSD, so I if the original service is to blame, it is a peripheral issue (damage, firmware update, etc).
    Here is where it gets really crazy... rebooting does NOT fix the issue. Shutting down and restarting does NOT fix the issue. Hard power off (holding the power until it hard-off's the system) then restarting DOES fix the issue.
    The problem is reproducible, and since I've now demoted this laptop to being my television PC, it gets left on idle all the time (and hense the problem occurs all the time).
    To the best of my knowledge I have all the latest patches and firmware loaded.
    I suspect this is a low level firmware/hardware bug, but have no way to confirm and have had no luck with finding answers here or via the store.
    Any assistance is appreciated!!

    I can left mouse click any other program successfully. I can only left mouse click Firefox one time and then it refuses to work. I set the default mouse structure and pressed apply. It does me no good. There must be another cause for no other program has problems except for Firefox.

  • How do you select an item from a table indicator with a mouse click and then use that selection in code?

    Hi,
    I am displaying a list of filesfrom a directory  in a table on the front panel of a VI as part of a program I am developing. I would like the user to be able to select from that table so that particular file can be processed. Is there a way to do this?
    Thanks,
    Aaron

    you'll find that most of the useful functionality of the labview user control interface is hidden within the property node and invoke node functions. just right click a control or indicator terminal on the block diagram and mouse over to create, then to property node or invoke node. lots of fun stuff in there. attached is an example. one file is saved for labview 8.0, the other is saved for labview 8.6.

  • ITunes 8.0 Vista button click does not happen until moving off of button

    On all my Vista PCs when I go to most of the iTunes store pages that the curser blinks funny when hovering over any item that can be selected. But when clicking on a button e.g. selecting an application, NOTHING happens until I move the mouse off of the button. Then the click is recognized...
    Anybody else seeing this? Is there any work around?

    I do have the same problem and reported the issue to Apple's support team last Tuesday and till today, no reply/answer/solution received yet.

  • Download does not happen when selecting Firefox

    I was trying to download the Firefox application to my desktop. I selected download, it took me to the next page regarding the steps (e.g., run should happen automatically), but it never downloaded the setup files to run.
    I am using Windows 7 and currently Internet Explorer 9.0, if that helps.

  • JFileChooser:Mouse click sometimes not recognized

    I have an application that uses JFileChooser. It works most of the time, but sometime, when I click on the arrow next to the "Look in" option for going up in the directory structure, it seems it doesn't do anything. When I move the filechooser dialog window, or click on the scroll bar on the side, it changes the "Look in" properly. Its a nuisance as user doesnt know what's going on. I will appreciate any idea.
    I am using jdk 1.2 and swing 1.1.
    Thanks!

    I'm not clear whether it's a button you are clicking on, or an item in a list. I've not had problems with buttons before, but lists can be problematic.
    Either way, it may be helpful to update your JDK. I've noticed that versions prior to 1.4 seemed to have problems recognising double clicks (if the mouse pointer moves in the slightest between clicks, then it's two SEPARATE clicks), which certainly made JFileChooser a bit of an arse for me.
    JDK 1.4 does have a reworked file-chooser and apparently (to me) better click-detection, so that will probably solve your problem.

  • Mouse click does not work. I can't doubleclick anymore to open folders or mark text at once.

    I have a MacBook from 2009.
    After I have installed a bluetooth mouse from Apple, both my touchpad and extern mouse won't use the funtion where you can double-clik to open a folder, or to mark a word -eg. when you usually doubleclick at the Internet adress bar, the complete adress or text would be marked.
    I don't use the Apple mouse anymore, I have tryed with my old Fujitsu cable-mouse, but the problem is the same with and without.
    It has been like this for two days, so I have tried to restart my computer without any succes.
    Please help, I am completely lost.

    Found the answer thanks to old threads!

  • How can I (neatly) control mouse click events in a multi-dimensional array?

    Hello everyone!
         I have a question regarding the use of mouse clicks events in a multi-dimensional array (or a "2D" array as we refer to them in Java and C++).
    Background
         I have an array of objects each with a corresponding mouse click event. Each object is stored at a location ranging from [0][0] to [5][8] (hence a 9 x 6 grid) and has the specific column and row number associated with it as well (i.e. tile [2][4] has a row number of 2 and a column number of 4, even though it is on the third row, fifth column). Upon each mouse click, the tile that is selected is stored in a temporary array. The array is cleared if a tile is clicked that does not share a column or row value equal to, minus or plus 1 with the currently targeted tile (i.e. clicking tile [1][1] will clear the array if there aren't any tiles stored that have the row/column number
    [0][0], [0][1], [0][2],
    [1][0], [1][1], [1][2],
    [2][0], [2][1], [2][2]
    or any contiguous column/row with another tile stored in the array, meaning that the newly clicked tile only needs to be sharing a border with one of the tiles in the temp array but not necessarily with the last tile stored).
    Question
         What is a clean, tidy way of programming this in AS3? Here are a couple portions of my code (although the mouse click event isn't finished/working correctly):
      public function tileClick(e:MouseEvent):void
       var tile:Object = e.currentTarget;
       tileSelect.push(uint(tile.currentFrameLabel));
       selectArr.push(tile);
       if (tile.select.visible == false)
        tile.select.visible = true;
       else
        tile.select.visible = false;
       for (var i:uint = 0; i < selectArr.length; i++)
        if ((tile.rowN == selectArr[i].rowN - 1) ||
         (tile.rowN == selectArr[i].rowN) ||
         (tile.rowN == selectArr[i].rowN + 1))
         if ((tile.colN == selectArr[i].colN - 1) ||
         (tile.colN == selectArr[i].colN) ||
         (tile.colN == selectArr[i].colN + 1))
          trace("jackpot!" + i);
        else
         for (var ii:uint = 0; ii < 1; ii++)
          for (var iii:uint = 0; iii < selectArr.length; iii++)
           selectArr[iii].select.visible = false;
          selectArr = [];
          trace("Err!");

    Andrei1,
         So are you saying that if I, rather than assigning a uint to the column and row number for each tile, just assigned a string to each one in the form "#_#" then I could actually just assign the "adjacent" array directly to it instead of using a generic object to hold those values? In this case, my click event would simply check the indexes, one at a time, of all tiles currently stored in my "selectArr" array against the column/row string in the currently selected tile. Am I correct so far? If I am then let's say that "selectArr" is currently holding five tile coordinates (the user has clicked on five adjacent tiles thus far) and a sixth one is being evaluated now:
    Current "selectArr" values:
           1_0
           1_1, 2_1, 3_1
                  2_2
    New tile clicked:
           1_0
           1_1, 2_1, 3_1
                  2_2
                  2_3
    Coordinate search:
           1_-1
    0_0, 1_0, 2_0, 3_0
    0_1, 1_1, 2_1, 3_1, 4_1
           1_2, 2_2, 3_2
                  2_3
         Essentially what is happening here is that the new tile is checking all four coordinates/indexes belonging to each of the five tiles stored in the "selectArr" array as it tries to find a match for one of its own (which it does for the tile at coordinate 2_2). Thus the new tile at coordinate 2_3 would be marked as valid and added to the "selectArr" array as we wait for the next tile to be clicked and validated. Is this correct?

  • JTree - setSelectionPath not the same as mouse click

    I have a JTree. Selecting a node on it with a mouse displays a panel in a neighbouring area. However, I also need to select a node programatically. I have tried using JTree.setSelectedPath(), JTree.getSelectionModel().setSelectionPath() and a few variations thereof. All these methods highlight the node but do not bring up the panel alongside. The widgets are in a framework, so I am limited in changing that.
    Why is a mouse click different from a set selection path? The keyboard works fine too if I navigate using the arrow keys and then press Enter. Strangely, clicking anywhere within the JTree after selecting the node programatically also works. I am using JDK 1.3.

    Hi DB,
    Try restoring the connection (right click on the source system - restore).
    Hope this helps.
