Mouse disconects

My wireless super mouse disconects-reconects sporadically. The pointer will lag and be in accurate. I have a 21.5 mid-2011 i5core 4gb iMac running lion.

Did you always have Lion running on the machine?
If not, did it work properly before the upgrade?
Check mouse batteries, also check that there are no other Bluetooth devices nearby that may interfere.
Guess the mouse could be dodgy too, if you another or can borrow one from a friend to test, that may be a good idea.

Hello there i have a few bugs when i use OS X Lion.
1) Wi-fi drops only under OS X Lion version 10.7.0, 10.7.1,10.7.2 and in version 10.7.3 the problem gets even worse changing setting in any way like DCHP, Router settings, Network preferences does't solve this problem at all. What in the end worked was to erase your HD and do a clean instal of Mac OSX Snow Leopard, Altrough Apple will only keep this updating trough security patches and iCloud won't be supproted the Wi-Fi is stable.
2) Magic Mouse disconects, my mouse drops almost everyday in OSX Lion the only way the reconect is with the Magic Trackpad (using iMac).
All i can say it that i stay with Snow Leopard until Apple fixed the issues. Hope they do it soon!

Mountain Lion - Bluetooth Mouse & Keyborad Disconects Frequently

My Bluetooth trackpad and keyboard disconects frequently, all after Mountain Lion installation

I'm having identical issues. I've got a new MacBook Air. First use was today and I'm already having issues.
The symptoms I've seen so far are:
- Magic Mouse won't recognise many first touches/clicks and I have to repeat to get the required action
- Bluetooth Keyboard will 'disconnect', appear connected and yet it doesn't work
- In Keynote, bluetooth keyboard and laptop keyboard will stop typing text, although I can still use Cmd+Tab to switch apps and they both type fine in the other app. This has happened repeatedly over the last hour, frustrating when you're trying to get a document done!
A quick scout of other discussions suggests that disconnecting Documents and Data from iCloud may solve this, I'm a DropBox user so I've done that and will now see if it resolves the issue.
Any other suggestions are welcome!

Wireless keyboard disconects IR wirless mouse

I bought a new Mac Bluetooth wireless keyboad and when I connect the new keyboard, the Logitech IR mouse is dead. Using the keyboard without a mouse suggests using the number keyboard but this keyboard is a simple design with no number keypad. Resetting the IR mouse does not bring it back on line. I can't use this wireles keyboard without a mouse. It seems to be a step backwards with no mouse access. Is this the Apple way of getting you to buy a Bluetooth mouse too? Thanks.

I found that if I sue the Apple USB mouse connected via the USB port on the USB Mac keyboard that I can use the wireless keyboard with the "Mac Mighty Mouse". So that will work for this problem. Thanks,

I don´t have a mighty mouse, I only got a normal Microsoft mouse.
It works totally fine but every few minutes my computer sais that I my mighty mouse is connected and then another few minutes later it sais its disconected. My Macbook thinks there is a mighty mouse allthough its not. Is there anything I can do?
(I tried everything, also another mouse didn´t solve the problem.)

Keyboard/Mouse not working - connecting from OSX

Good afternoon folks,
A user brought this up to me and I thought I would investigate it since I have a Mac at home as well.
When connecting from the Mac to a VDI the keyboard and mouse works just fine, however when connecting to a Physical PC running the Horizon View Agent it does not.
The client we are using on both Macs we are connecting from is the most recent Horizon View 3.2 version. The agent version that is running on the PCs is 6.0.2.2331487.
So far I have not been able to find any documented issues for others either here or out on the rest of the web. I am going to try an older version of the Client tonight to see if that has any effect. If I can get the newest Agent downloaded I will try that as well but I am not sure if I will get the go ahead to install a different version here.

I have experienced the same problem which affects a 3rd party USB mouse and my wireless trackpad. Both may be unresponsive when the computer (late 2009 21.5" iMac) wakes. When it happens both devices are affected, never just one of them.
I don't need to reboot to fix the problem. The mouse responds by disconecting and re-connecting. The trackpad reconnects by holding its power button for a few seconds.
The problem does not affect my wireless keyboard.
No clues on the Console. Sorry I can't be more help.

Keyboard & Mouse Not Working on Resume From Sleep

About 1/10 of the time when I resume from sleep my keyboard and mouse do not work. They wake the computer (a 27" iMac) but do not work any longer past that, requiring me to hard reboot my computer (holding the power button to turn off then rebooting).
I have no issues using my keyboard and mouse, both bluetooth, at all. When this happens, even hooking up an external keyboard does me no good as it also does not work. Sleeping and reawakening does no good either.
Anyone have any ideas? So far nothing seems amiss when it comes to my configuration or hardware. Thanks in advance!

Magic mouse problems with MacPro 2013

Installed my new Mac Pro version late 2013 and all was working well. Yesterday I added two USB3 hubs and now I am having issues with my Magic Mouse. It looses its conection and is erradic in operation. Would be surprised if it was the hubs but I suppose I should disconect them and find out. Thought the new MacPro would have a better antena on the Bluetooth. Mouse has 60% power. What items will interfere with bluetooth. I am also using Parallels with Windows 7 running.

I suspect it is the hubs. Bluetooth on a Mac uses USB ports.
If you look at "about this Mac>system reports>USB" you will see what I mean.

MacBook Pro + 1st Gen Apple Wireless (Bluetooth) Mouse = Headache

Hi there.
I have recently purchased a Wireless Apple Mouse (not the current Mighty Mouse model, but the original no scroll-wheel one) off a seller on eBay who shipped it to me, and is adament the item is in full working order. I however, am not convinced.
I have spent the last two days trying to get rid of the lag I have with the mouse. It is unbearable, completely impossible to use. I have trawled the internet and indeed these forums to try and find a solution, but there is nothing that has worked. Restarting without Dashboard, killing every process possible, driver updates, OS updates, several different sets of batteries, unisntalling and reinstalling, tools to boost the speed of the mouse, the lot. I know my Bluetooth works fine, after having synced with several phones and other laptops without a hitch. Nothing will work, and worse still, everything I have read on the subject is related to the Wireless Mighty Mouse, effectively rendering the advice useless. Also, nobody seems to have had quite as dramatic a problem with it as myself.
The lag is unbearable. I have used wireless mouse and keyboards for years and they work wonderfully. The delay is probably about a quarter of a second, and the cursor jumps and stutters so it is not only a case of it moving slowly but behind my actions. I have noticed that the very moment I turn it on, if I move it quickly back and forth, I get a moment's teaser of how the mouse should work, with a smooth fluid action, but just for a second before the relentless stuttering. The buttons are unresponsive too.
I have checked the area for interference. I've disconected power supplies, turned off my phone's bluetooth, turned off my phone completely, turned off Airport, turned off my external Hard Drive, unplugged all cables. I am completely at a loss as to what the problem is, short of the mouse being broken in some way. But the seller is adament it was in working order (I doubt their honesty, and indeed, their intelligence after I told them I was using it with my MacBook Pro, and the responded asking if I was using it with a Mac and if I'd swopped the batteries).
So, does anybody out there have a clue if I'm right?

Elaborating on this still, as of yet, unsolved problem I'm having, I encounter an error whenever I download and try to run the apple wireless keyboard and mouse firmware 1.1. update. I try to open the .app and it fails every time, after numerous times of reinstalling, restarting, redownloading, the lot.

Mid 2010 no USB Mouse or keyboard power? HELP!!

I bought a mid 2010 Mac Pro 2.8ghz Nahalem from the apple store over 1 month ago. After two weeks I had a five minute issue where after I rebooted, the mouse & keyboard would not respond. One quick reboot, the mouse and keyboard had power. Now I have a TV show I have to get to the station for tomorrow and I"m having this issue again and I've rebooted five times with no luck. I"m desperate here and I need to get this working. I did buy some new RAM from the Apple store, 4GB DDR3 PC3 240 pin 512MX72-8500 ECC. I put it in with the other three 1 gig sticks for 7gigs of RAM. Rebooted, no keyboard or mouse power. shut down, re-arranged the sticks in various configurations and even went back to just the three 1 gig sticks and again, the computer will boot up, get to the login window, but no power to the keyboard or my wireless mouse or should I say not responding and no caps lock light at all. Can I not have this RAM configuration and it blew something out? The bluetooth mouse battery was changed and I checked my keyboard which has a wired connection. It is fine. I even moved it to other USB slots. No go. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a PMU reset switch on these new mac models? I've been editing forever on a dual 1.6gh PowerMac with no problems. Rock solid. Now I'm on this Nahalem and this no keyboard or wireless mouse communication is killing me with this deadline. I NEED HELP!!!

After installing Windows 7 did you also install the Chipset Driver, Intel ME Driver, Keyboard and Mouse Driver and the USB 3 Driver? If you didn't then that would account for the various hardware items not being recognized. Always install the Intel Drivers first and then the rest.

Problem with xfce and/or mouse and keyboard

Hi!
Two days ago I've turned on my laptop with Arch and the display manager Slim has frozen immediately. Later on Single-User mode I've uninstalled it. Now in normal mode when I type "startxfce4" everything is showing up, but the mouse and keyboard don't work. I know it's not frozen, because animation of mouse and CPU Frequency Monitor is on.
Strange fact is that laptop is not connecting with the Internet, so now I don't know where the problem is.
It's happening when I start xfce both from user and super user.
Just before those troubles I've updated everything with "pacman -Syu", but I haven't seen anything strange. Also the computer could have been roughly turned off (by unplugging power supply), when was turning on.

On grub I have only normal mode and 'fallback' mode, so I have result from 'journalctl' from normal mode.

Oh, I forgot to write, that I've tried activate some drivers from 'lspci -k' (there were no "Kernel driver in use:..." in almost every device), but it didn't fi anything.

New Install - startx results in blank screen with mouse cursor

I installed Arch on my desktop last week with no issues, so I wanted to install it on an old THinkpad R31. Everything with the installation went smooth, but when I try to 'startx' all I get is a blank screen with a mouse cursor that I can move around. I've installed xorg-xinit, xorg-twm, xorg-xclock, and xterm.
I'm not getting any significant errors in the logs, or even the terminal I issue 'startx' in.
I'm not sure what the problem could be...

I do indeed.
I went ahead and installed LXDE anyways, just to see what would happen. Exact same thing, it looks like everything is about to load but only the mouse cursor shows up. My Xorg.0.log is the same, so I won't post it again.
I do get an error in the console about the openbox menu.xml file missing but I doubt that's related.

In my mouse, i am having mousewheel to support scrolling.With the help of the wheel, i can scroll the pages in IE browser or any other appliction.
In swing application ,i have scroll bar inside a JFrame.I want to have mousewheel action in my swing application to support scrolling.

As far as I know,there is no facility for detecting mouse scrolling wheel in JDK 1.3.
Check it in the later releases of JDK.

I used to be able to open links in a new tab by clicking my middle mouse button, but now that I've updated it to the most recent update it doesn't work anymore. How do I fix this? I really love that feature. It works in IE and Chrome but not Mozilla.

Ok, I used to be able to open links up in a new Tab using my middle mouse button. However, I updated firefox with the automatic Updates on the 26th of October and now I no longer can open links with my middle mouse button. Why? I use this feature just about every time I go searching on the internet so I really would like it back. I couldn't find anything that it was related to in the options so I turn this over to you guys.

How can I enable the center mouse click to open and close tabs in Firefox and Chrome?

I have a MacBook Pro Model A1261 purchased in 2009. On my other mac at work (and my PC) I can center click to open a link in a new tab while in Chrome or FireFox, and also to close a tab by clicking on it in the tabs at the top. I am using an external USB mouse on my MacBook Pro and when I click the center scroll wheel it brings up the dashboard. I looked in the settings but wasn't able to find a way to change that setting for the center button to open and close tabs in my web browser. Is there a way? Please help!

You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.
