Mouse Driver

Hi guys-
Recently I heard Logitech updated their drivers to work with our new Macs. I'm not entirely sure if this is accurate or not. I found a link which downloaded a new version of Logitech Control Center. Since downloading that, my Logitech G5 mouse moves around the screen, but the Mac does not recognize the clicks. When I plug in my MM everything is fine.
My question is this:
How do I revert my mouse driver back to the facotry preset (JUST the mouse driver and nothing else)?
Thanks!
17" iMac Intel Core Duo   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   1.5 gb RAM

Run the Uninstaller that comes with the Logitech download.

  • I have a Z570 laptop Win 7 64 bit and need a new mouse driver

I just updated my Ethernet Driver on my Win 7 64 bit Z570 laptop.  Now, the icon for my Mouse no longer appears in the sys tray, and I can no longer scroll using the Mousepad.  In order to scroll, I have to go into control panel and open up the Mouse settings, and then the icon appears in the sys tray and I can then scroll.  In MSCONFIG, I have normal startup checked.  I have the Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad, with driver 15.2.7.0 dated 2/8/11.  I guess I need to update the Mouse driver.  Anyone know of a fix for this, or can you point me to where I can find a better Mouse driver?  Thanks.

    Hi jetjim2015,
Even though you have the current Lenovo driver loaded, if you want to try the latest Synaptics driver (V 17.0.19) you can find it here:
    http://www.synaptics.com/en/drivers.php
Make sure you read this NOTE on the page:
"NOTE: Installing a generic driver may result in the loss of OEM-customized Synaptics pointing device functionality. Setting a restore point before installing is a quick way to rollback to the previous driver."

if you are filtering below the hid miniport, why do you have separate keyboard and mouse infs? For a filter below the miniport just use one inf and the filter will see both the keyboard and mouse requests (assuming you report a keyboard and mouse TLCs

  • Driver for wired mighty mouse driver in windows xp pc

I'm looking for drivers for the wired apple mouse aka mighty mouse to run in windows xp pro to have horizontal scrolling.  Currently the generic plug & play driver allows vertical scrolling and horizotal only if the vertical scroll is not present.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I have a MBP running Bootcamp 1.1.2 and XP SP2. My Bluetooth Mighty Mouse works well within XP with the exception of the left-right scrolling.
First I installed the mouse in the OSX operating system. Then when I booted in XP, I used the "Bluetooth Devices" from the control panel to find and connect the mouse with no problems.
I didn't have to worry with any mouse driver installation.
Is Bluetooth working in XP mode?

  • Mouse driver for logitech 10.3.9?

I've been searching everywhere online for an optical mouse driver for a logitech mouse (v320) that runs in OSX 10.3.9
I searched the logitech download site, and although the drivers there say they run on 10.3.9, in fact when I try to download it, the program fails to open and load... and in fact the icc310.zip driver is for 10.4.x
I even wrote to logitech and was given the following run-around,
"I understand you would like to know where can you download a software that will work on Mac OS X 10.3.9. Unfortunately, the software for Mac OS X 10.3.9 is no longer available. You can instead do your own research using Google. I apologize for this inconvenience."
After Googling numerous sites, I only find these scam software driver download sites that never connect and ask for a $14.00 signup fee!
    http://download.driverguide.com/driver/LS1LaserMouse/Logitech/d1388414.html
So I am stumped as to what to do next... any clues much appreciated.

Actually I lucked out and found a link that still loads a 10.3.9 logitech driver.
    I downloaded from here http://logitech-viva.navisite.net/web/ftp/pub/techsupport/mouse/mac/lcc260.zip.
It's amazing that this driver was so hard to find! Or maybe it's all a part of the disposable society that just tosses everything out.
This new driver seems to work with the wireless optical mouse and offers all the side scrolling capacity. It still doesn't seem to work on slightly reflective surfaces all that well... but it's better than nothing.
Logitech support really bites big time. I'll never buy a product from them if I can help it. I just got this one on ebay.
Good luck anyone looking for the same problem!

Many new plug and play devices do not have a specific driver offered by a manufacturer. I have noticed this since win7 came out, even my Razer gaming mouse download the all the software automatically. Really bothers me to tell you the truth.
    Is the product working properly?
Yes it works, but I get none of the options, so it's on minimum dpi wish is like 400

  • When will a proper mouse driver be out for Windows?

I can't stand the mouse. Yes, I am grateful that Windows works better on my machine than most other computers out there...but the fact that my mouse is so brutal to use is driving me crazy.
Is there a proper mouse driver that will let me use it like I do in OS X? ie double finger right click, two finger scroll etc?
    Thanks.

I think this is a question you would have to ask Microsoft...?
Perhaps not, if you're expecting Apple to write a driver for their hardware to work in Windows.... In that case, though, no one here would be able to answer the question. It would be covered by Apple employee NDAs, and everyone else would be guessing.
You could submit feedback for BootCamp asking for this.

  • MS IntelliPoint Mouse Driver & Crashes

In the PrPro CS4 forum, a user was experiencing crashes upon launch of PrPro. His gear met, or exceeded all specs. Nothing looked amiss, with his setup, and the installation seemed fine. After trying every troubleshooting tip from the forum, he contacted Adobe TS.
They worked though many things, and finally solved his problem - his MS IntelliPoint Mouse driver was causing PrPro to crash. He removed it, and all worked perfectly. I am trying to find out the version number of his IntelliPoint driver, and will post that as an addendum.
Going back several versions, the IntelliPoint drivers caused several problems, but mostly with the GUI display. These existed in most Adobe programs, and later releases of the IntelliPoint driver seemed to not exhibit this problem. However, with the old drivers, there were no reports of crashes, just flickering GUI's. This was news to me.
While I cannot guarantee that it will fix crashing Adobe programs, it is something to investigate, if you are experiencing crashes, after you look at all of the other troubleshooting tips. Just a H/U, of something else to try.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

Figure it out. I had to install the new MS driver and also was able to disable the zoom feature by turning it off in the Universal Access in System preferences.
    Thanks.

  • XINPUT mouse driver problems

    Hello Everyone!
I've written a mouse driver for Xsun (sparc). It is implemented as XINPUT module. The module calls miPointerDeltaCursor to move the cursor. mieqEnqueue is used to enqueue button changes.
The cursor moves correctly when the mouse is moved but any events (even events coming from miPointerDeltaCursor) are not done immediately but the moment I press a key on the keyboard.
The keyboard focus does not change when the mouse cursor crosses a window's border but the moment I press a key on the keyboard.
Mouse button clicks will be delayed until a key on the keyboard is pressed.
Any ideas why the X server behaves like this ??
    Thanks.
    Martin.

I want to re-install the original keyboard and mouse driver. I have the original discs -- how do I do it?
    Thanks

If you are only talking about keyboard and mouse then it do not require additional installation as the it will be installed automatically. IN addition you can install this software:

    ALSO
Try installing HP Support Assistant which will automatically download and install drivers/updates:

  • Removing mouse driver from system preferences, other...how?

In system preferences, other, how do you uninstall items? I have read in this forum that if you right click and choose "remove (xxx) preference pane" it will uninstall it. If remove doesn't uninstall it, exactly what does it do?
Is it that simple? I am trying to remove a mouse driver.
    thanks
    bob

I'm afraid I don't follow you. Each component can be individually deleted. But as I said removing the preference pane (in any way) will not remove a driver located in the Extensions folder (if there's a driver involved.) Likewise removing a driver will not remove a preference pane. This is why you should use the uninstaller that comes with the software you are using (which you haven't mentioned.)
For general help with uninstalling software see:
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, Easy Find, instead. Download Easy Find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are also several shareware utilities that can uninstall applications:
    AppZapper
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
Look for them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
For more information visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on removing software.

  • Mouse driver problems on GE60

Hi, I have GE60 notebook with Win 7 64-bit and my external mouse sometimes suddenly stops working. The mouse driver completely freezes. When I try to uninstall and reinstall the mouse driver in device manager it just stops responding. Same goes with shutdown - Windows tries to unload the driver but nothing happens and it just won't turn off. I have tried reinstalling windows, replacing the mouse with another, all kinds of stuff but I can't figure out what's the problem. It seems that this problem happens when I unplug the mouse. All drivers are official from MSI website. Thanks in advance

  • Bluetooth Mouse Driver Issues after updating to SP1

    Greetings!
After upgrading to SP1 my bluetooth mouse stopped working.  The dongle I'm using is being detected fine, and when I scan for the mouse I can find it, but when I try to connect to it I get a "Locate driver" message from Vista.  When I let it scan for the driver it is unable to find anything compatible, so when I tell it to scan the CD that came with it again it finds nothing.  It's like the Bluetooth HID Device driver is no longer working.
    This is the dongle:
    http://us.kensington.com/html/9403.html
    This is the mouse:
    http://us.kensington.com/html/12635.html
Some of the things I've tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling the WIDCOMM Bluetooth stack.  I've tried using Vista's Bluetooth stack instead of the WIDCOMM stack, with no luck.
I've also tried the Bluesoleil drivers with no luck there either, in fact those seem to break the dongle and Vista is no longer able to detect it.
I've tried the install CD that came with the mouse, but it seems that is for Windows XP only.
I've tried another Bluetooth mouse that produces the exact same results, with a CD that is for Vista.
    Anyone else having this issue?

Just wanted to update this with an answer.
I'm pretty sure that running vsp1cln.exe was the reason why my Bluetooth and iPod stopped working.  I reinstalled Vista and upgraded to SP1 without running that tool to clean up the install files and both bluetooth and my iPod are working again.  It must clean up the driver files that they were using and the new files are not compatible or something.  Not sure really.

  • Mouse driver for winodws 8 to 8.1 upgrade

I upgraded my (64 Bit) HP a6510t desktop (P/N KZ848AV#ABA) (S/N  [edited Serial by Moderator]) from windows 8 to 8.1 and now my HP Optical PS2 Mouse with Wheel Scroller M-SBQ133 MOBJKO 5188-6230 (P/N 5188-6230 REV b) (P008230442047) does not work.  I cannot find any reference to HP Optical mouse drivers on the HP site that would solve my problem.  The computer is useless right now due to the absence of a mouse.  Any help would be appreciated.  Bit Size and Part Numbers P/N and Serial Numbers S/N have been added.
I am concerned that the only answer is to abandon Windows 8/8.1 and go back to Windows 7.   Not that I don't llike Win7 but it would a considerable effort to do as well as the effort  find my win7 upgrade pack from the vista that was on the machine when I bougbt it.  It worked great with vista and winows 7 and even 8 but 8.1 was a killer.   When I had 8.0 instaled all was fine.  My first problem was the computer acted funny after I had moved to a new area and would not start with Win 8 after the move.  Then a repair shop said it was just a corrupted file in win 8 so they reinstalled it using my license key.... and then upgraded to win 8.1 .... on their computer.   They never tried my mouse or keyboard... just their own.... so I got it back and realized the problem and then thought.... that  I should just be able to download the new HP driver for win8.1 for the mouse and all would be well. But there was no evidence on HPs website of an 8.1 driver and no way to install something else... so here I am hoping that it can get rectified without dumping 8.1 and going back to 7...
    Proposed solution by HP
Perform the following steps, in order, until a solution is found:
If the mouse is a PS/2 mouse (identified by a round connector on the end of the cable), make sure the mouse is connected to the mouse port, not the keyboard port. The colors of the cable plugs and the colors of the connector labels should match. Reconnect the mouse and keyboard cables only when the computer is off.
It is connected to the right port
With the computer off, connect a regular PS/2 mouse or serial mouse in place of the scroll mouse to see if there is something wrong with the computer or the identification of the mouse. If the regular mouse is not found or does not work, then the issue is not with the mouse but with the PS/2 port or serial port. If the mouse works properly after the computer is turned on, then continue to the next step.
I don't have a PS/2 mouse or serial mouse in place of a scroll
Try using the mouse on another PC with Windows. If the mouse fails, it is probably bad and should be replaced.
This is the only PC that I have with a round port.
If the mouse worked previously, a software update or configuration problem might exist. Use Microsoft System Restore to go back to the last time the mouse was known to be working properly. For instructions on how to use Microsoft System Restore, refer to the HP support document Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).
The mouse worked fine before the update to win 8.1
Use HP Recovery Manager to restore the mouse drivers. For more information, see the HP support document Using HP Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 8).
This install is an over write of and old copy of win 8 which required a wipe out of the win 7 from my hard drive to install the win 8.  Then the repair shop installed win 8 over the corrupted version of win 8 and upgraded to win 8.1 and gave us a machine that could boot but did not test it to see if our mouse worked which it did not.  Perhaps only a rwell equipped  repair shop can handle this.
