Mouse is too sensitve - can't find adjustment

My new iMac came with a wireless mouse. The work sheets jump around too much because of the sensitivity of the mouse. I can't seem to find a place to adjust it. I really like the mouse on my MacBook Pro much better and may use it on the iMac instead. It has a small ball which seems to be better than the newer mouse.

I have tried that route but there is no mouse/trackpad selection on my system (10.6.8) Only a mouse selection is available and there is no scrolling without inertia adjustment shown. I don’t have a trackpad on the new iMac and would not likely use it if it were available.
I believe I have solved my problem. I moved the mouse from my MacBookPro and paired it with the iMac and I am flying high. I love it... and I also can view all open windows with the touch of the scrolling ball. Now I can use the mouse on both systems.
I still wonder why there is no mouse & trackpad option available on the Universal access.

Time Machine wants to backup too much, can't find "ghost includes"

I finally wanted to launch Time Machine, but it complains that I don't have enough backup space. My MacBook has a 160GB disk, and I have attached an external disk with a 300GB partition for backups (the rest of the external disk is formatted for Linux and not visible in the OS X Finder).
Now Time Machine claims that I have 414GB of data to back up, for which the backup medium is too small. I have no other drives attached.
I suspect it wants to back up the backup partition, too, but it is already in the list of excludes. I have no idea where to look next.
Any help would be appreciated!

Yeah, FileVault and TM don't play well together. As you know, your entire home folder is encrypted, so there are, in a sense, two versions of it: one encrypted, one "in the clear."
Most likely, you've removed the exclusion for the "in the clear" version of your home folder; so TM is counting it twice. You need to put it back in the +Do not back up+ box, so TM will only back it up when you log out. But that doesn't fully explain where it gets 419 gb.
Just to be sure about the Linux partition, go to +Finder > Preferences > Sidebar+ and be sure the +External Disks+ box is checked, then try +TM Preferences > Options+ and the plus sign again.
Also, my internal disk is almost full, it is at 148GB.
I have no "Estimated size of full backup" message, only a "Total Included: 419GB".
Oh, yes, sorry, I keep forgetting that the wording changed in Snow Leopard.

How to decrease mouse speed (easy question, can't find answer)

Hello Archers. I bought a new mouse which has a resolution of 800 DPI and no option to change it like game mice have (a button that changes colors when you change resolution with it). After connecting it to my Arch box it turned out to be faster then what I got used to with my previous mice that had an option to choose DPI. I would like to decrease speed of my pointer in IceWM Xorg. I don't have DE, just Xorg and IceWM.

won't do it, it just sets acceleration to 0. And apparently doesn't even work on newest systems.
Tried to add
Option "Resolution" "600"
to "xorg.conf" to try to change mouse resolution to 600 DPI and it had no effect.

Luke in that answer pointed out "Device Accel Constant Deceleration (267): 2.500000" which I don't seem to have. So are there any working ways to decrease pointer speed in Xorg for Arch?
An LQ.org forum member suggested to look at wiki page which I did and the left solution also didn't help. Creating file "/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-mouse-deceleration.conf" with the config wiki suggests doesn't decrease mouse speed. Please help me to do it.

NOW there are NONE of the old wanted and loved tabs at the top of the new horrible page. WHERE is the VIEW tab or the ZOOM in and ZOOM out tab??

Usually you have either the orange Firefox button or the classic menu bar, but not both at the same time.
You should be able to switch back and forth this way:
If the classic menu bar is not displayed, tap the Alt key to display it and then use
View > Toolbars > Menu Bar
to make it persistent. It should replace the orange Firefox button. To switch back, uncheck
View > Toolbars > Menu Bar
Does that work??
Also, you can zoom by holding the Ctrl key and scrolling your mouse wheel. This is a finder adjustment, but can be harder to control.

G62 can't find drivers for USB mouse

For some reason I can't get my wired mouse OP-35D to work with Windows 7. When I plug it in ti the USBslot the PC can identify that its a USB mouse but can't find any drivers. I've downloded drivers from the manufacturers homepage but it's still not working. Tried four different USB mouse both wired and wireless, same result. USB-memorysticks, USB-harddrives are working fine.
Solution anyone?

Open Device manager and Expand USB Controllers, right click on everything labeled as device or hub and select uninstall, do this one at a time. Once this is done restart the notebook.
Do Not uninstall anything labeled Controller.

With respect to digital images, there really is no size in inches. The size is given as number of pixels horizontally and vertically. In iPhoto '09 you click the little "i" inthe lower right side of the window and it will display information related to the selected photo, including the pixel dimensions. I do not have iPhoto '11 installed so I don't know if it is the same there.
In some applications, such as preview, it has something additional called Dots per Inch (DPI) which you would think would allow you to convert the pixel dimensions to inches. It is not a real thing, though. The DPI is determined by how large or small you have chosen to print your photo and the capabilities of your printer.
There is also something called Aspect Ratio, which is usually expressed in inches x inches such as 6x9 but that doesn't mean the size on the screen or when printed is 6x9. It is the ratio of the pixel dimensions. When cropping your photos, you will have several standard aspect ratios to choose from plus any custom ones you create.
In iPhoto '09, after you choose Print, in the Print Setting window are the settings for the size you want the photo printed. You want to shoose a setting with the same aspect ratio of your photo. Otherwise, iPhoto will resize and/or crop your photo to fit the size you have chosen.

How can I find a lost bookmark folder? A folder stuck on my mouse pointer I shook the mouse and it released the folder somewhere in the hundreds of other bookmark folders. I don't want to have to open every folder and search every file to locate it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

You might try restoring a backup of your bookmarks.
1. From the menu at the top of the Firefox window bar, click the Bookmarks menu and choose Organize Bookmarks to open the Library window.
2. Before proceeding, you should make a backup of your current bookmarks.

2. Firefox will ask you to save the bookmark backup to a folder on your hard drive. Choose a location that you will remember.
3. Your current bookmarks have been backed up to the file you selected.

Command (right) - click on the photo and select Fit to Frame in the contextual menu:
Not all frames in a theme offer that feature but most do. The spread layout doesn't.
