Mouse keeps stopping since I upgraded to Yesomite

What brand of mouse? Try and provide as much specific detail as possible when asking questions.
If it's a non-Apple mouse you may have some sort of driver conflict and need to update or remove the 3rd party drivers.

My ipad videos are always stopping since I upgraded to 7.0 and I am on strong wi-fi strength?

Since other millions of people updated and do not have that problem - it means one of two.
1.Your friends lied to you and do not have that problem and in that case only your installation of ios7 got corrupted and you need to restore your phone.
2.Your friends didn't lie to you and all 4 of you need to restore phones (that way reinstalling ios 7 properly)
here are instructions for restore and you may have to backup before restore.

  • Photoshop CS keeps crashing since Tiger upgrade

Photoshop CS keeps crashing when saving files since we upgraded to 10.4.5 Tiger. Everything was working fine under 10.3.9 Panther. Is that a known issue? Thanks!

Hi, Colorblind. Welcome to the Discussions.
First, for questions concerning Photoshop (PS), PS CS, and PS CS2 you should search the Adobe knowledge based or search/post on the Adobe Photoshop Mac Forum.
    1. How did you upgrade to 10.4.5? Was this an Upgrade Install or an Archive install of 10.4.5 atop 10.3.9?
    2. To where are you saving the files? An AFP server? There is a known issue with PS CS and CS2 under 10.4.6 when saving to AFP servers. See Adobe Knowledgebase document "Photoshop crashes when you save files to a network volume (CS and CS2 on Mac OS X v10.4.6)."
    3. What error messages are you getting when PS CS "crashes," if any?
For example, see the Adobe KB documents "Personalization errors occur when starting Photoshop (CS on Mac OS X)."
    Good luck!

  • Mouse keeps stopping

hello I am not sure why but my mouse cursor keeps stopping for a part of a second every 10 seconds or so. I know this may not seem bad but it gets kind of annoying because I play a lot of games and when the cursor stops even for a split second it messes it up.
I am using macbook air. something interesting I found was it does NOT happen with the track pad, only with any mouse I try (tried Apple Magic Mouse (bluetooth), and 2 gaming mouses (usb) 1 wireless and 1 wired)

Thanks for your reply I just tried those one at a time. The first one did not seem to work but after the 2nd it appears good now! hopefully its just a 1 off problem
thanks a lot for your reply

  • Mouse wheel stop working after upgrade

Hi. After upgrading my Leopard to 10.5.8 the mouse wheel stop scrolling window content, like web pages. I'd open the mouse control panel and there is a zooming feauture. It's working like this: moving wheel back makes a fast zoom, and moving ahead makes a slow zoom. Both directions make more zoom (slow and fast) and there is no going back but deactivating before desktop reach my nose.
So I beleive the system is getting wrong the resources of my mouse. Where can I setup this?
Oh, it's a Microsoft Wireless mouse.

Yes! I'd install the software pack of the mouse for Mac OS X that adds a control panel at Sistem Preferences and I take control - and the wheel came back!
But it's not easy finding it in Microsoft.com (in my case: .br). You got to start by hardware products and follow support links, system, etc..
    Thank you for the tip!

  • IPad screen keeps enlarging since iOS upgrade, no way to control it

Since upgrade to ios 5.1, iPad 1 screen size keeps enlarging by around 5 to 10 percent, so that most of screen is hidden from view/ inaccessible, no apparent way to control it.to reset, I have to turn iPad off and on again. For example, as I type this, only top 2 mm of space bar is accessible making typing a royal pain.  Any suggestions for how to control it?

Triple tap your home button and your screen should return to normal size.

There is a huge discussion of this issue:
Frequent Panic NVRM[0/1:0:0]: Read...: Apple Support Communities
It is not caused by third-party software. The true cause is unknown, or at least unknown to me. It's either a hardware fault or a bug in Lion that only affects certain Mac models. Take the machine to an Apple Store for testing.

  • IDvd 06 Keeps crashing since Leopard upgrade

I upgraded my MacBook Pro to leopard back In November, since then, every time I use iDvd 06 It crashes on stage 2, I Installed the 6.0.4 update but still It crashes! It seems this Is quite a common problem since Leopard, Any bright Ideas gratefully received!!

I remember reading that post and I believe the only recommendation was to make sure that the user had the necessary available HD space for working with apps like iDvd. Plus I think the point you made was good in that it would be unlikely these same users have to date filled up their main HD to the point of slowing iDvd. Most these units are but a few months old (if not newer).
Truth is there is no overall solution yet nor a direct answer or solution to this issue (short of software updates in some cases) yet even on these newer models that should run iLife'08 apps flawlessly. iDvd seems to be the major issue while the other apps remain unaffected in the majority of cases.
And like you Fred, I'm starting to suspect the graphics card in a number of these laptops but as of yet I have no direct evidence that this is the case nor if this will resolve most of the issues here. Doesn't hurt to document what has or has not worked to date which I am attempting to do on the following thread even tho it has been marked as solved. The solution posted here may work for some but not all:

  • An iCloud error message keeps appearing since I upgraded to OS X 10.10

Ever since I changed from Mavericks to Yosemite the error message below keeps appearing on my MBP.
It appears three or four times each day, but when I do the only thing there is an option for, all my iCloud Preferences seem to be correct.
Is the problem likely to be with my MBP, my iCloud account itself or my broadband connection? The crossed out details on the error message of course refer to my email address. This is also my Apple ID, so am I correct in assuming that it isn't likely to be a problem with that email account?
If I do nothing and dismiss the error message it doesn't seem as if iCloud has a problem at all, and it appears to work okay.
The error message is getting a bit annoying now.

  • Preview keeps crashing since I upgraded to Maverick?

Since I installed Maverick, Preview keeps crashing!!?

    Hello Bernard,
I would be concerned too if Preview was quitting unexpectedly.  I recommend the follow article for the issue you described:
OS X Mavericks: If an app freezes or quits unexpectedly
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH13975
If the issue persists, you may want to further isolate the issue by testing in a new user.  Testing in an alternate user will allow you to determine if the issue is a system-wide issue or an issue specific to your user account:

  • HT1414 Why has my outgoing email serviced stopped since I upgraded to ios7???

Since downloading ios7, I can't send emails on my iPad. Help?!?!?!?

    Hey cottonqn,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with sending emails on your iPad, the following article may help to troubleshoot this:
iOS: Unable to send or receive email
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3899
If you are unable to send or receive email, try the following steps:
    1. Restart the iOS device.
    2. Tap Safari and attempt to load a webpage to ensure that the device has Internet access. If you're unable to load a webpage, try the Wi-Fi assistant.
    3. Try an alternative Internet connection.
              - If your email is provided by your Internet provider, try connecting from the home network.
              - If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, try to disable Wi-Fi:  Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
              - If not, try a different Wi-Fi network.
    4. Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
    5. Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.
If you're still unable to send or receive email, contact your email provider and verify the account settings are correct. You will need to gather this information (PDF).
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • My iMac keeps restarting since ML upgrade

These restarts seem to be correlated with an open web browser, but maybe the cause is something else. I've read it can be caused by an outdated application, but it's hard to know which is the culprit if that's the case. Apple Care has run through a fresh install of ML with me, but that hasn't solved the issue. Can anyone help me interpret this panic report?
    Thanks in advance:

  • Email Data Detection Stopped Since SL Upgrade

    Hi
I receive emails for events all the time and they have the following date format (example shown)
    2009-09-19 19:30:00
Apple Mail used to recognise this as a date and time in the email so I could make a quick iCal addition. This seems to have ceased with the SL upgrade. It still detects more obvious dates and other data but I need it to detect this type as before.
    Any ideas?

This is a bit bizarre ... I sent myself an email with nothing but a number of different date formats.
    2009-09-07
    2009/07/15
    9/14/09
    14/9/09
    14/09/09
    14/09/2009
    *september 7th, 2009*
    Data detection spots them all.
I then went in to another email where the date was included as part of the email text (the type of email that I need it to detect info for) and it will not show!

  • Since I upgraded my Ipad2 with IOS6, i keep getting kicked out of Safari after I am in the middle of looking for something and on Ebay it continually kicks me back to the first item if I click to see a picture, say after I am 150 items down.  Even CNN too

Since I upgraded my Ipad2 to IOS6, I keep getting kicked out of Safari after I am in the middle of searching for something.  Also, Ebay kicks me back to first item if I click on an item, say number 153 or 642!  Very annoying.  Even CNN kicked me out back to Ipad home screen last night!  How do I make it stop???

    My question is this:
What is the best way of getting the pictures out of the iPhoto Library? I
Select the photos you want out and export them as JPGEs - kind = current for the current edited version - kind = original for the original
f I get access to the original folders within the library by right-clicking any photo and then being able to browse inside the library, am I going to have any problems if I copy or move those original pictures directly to a folder outside of the iPhoto Library?
Copying photos out will not be a problem if you make no errors - for me that is not a good bet - it is best to stay out of yoru iPhoto library
Would it be better to export the pictures?
    Yes
Does exporting using "current" under "Kind" give you the original more safely?
No - it gives you the current version which may be the original if no changes have been made or will be the current edited version if edits ahve been made
Also, any suggestions on how to best have photos OUTSIDE of an iPhoto library organized so that iPhoto can reference them, but your backup is also organized?
In the iPhoto preferences un check the advanced preference to "copy imported items to the iPhoto library"
HOWEVER - this is not recommended - it makes importing more complicated, deleting more complicated and makes replacing a hard drive or going to a new computer much more difficult - and it puts you totally in charge of your original photos - being sure that they are there and do not get moved
I'd like to have my photos organized by date in the backup as well, so that I don't have to backup all my pictures every time I add new ones, just add the latest to the backup drive.
Finally, any suggestions on what to do with pictures that you scan so that they appear by the date they were taken as opposed to the date they were scanned? Is there a way to modify the date of the photo info?
Select the photos in iPhoto and use the batch change command under the photos menu - the tiem and date option
