Mouse only moves up or to the side

Hi All,
I have this annoying problem when I want to boot into Windows.
I restart my Mac and hold down the Option key and the icons for my Main hard drive and my Windows Hard drive appear on the desktop.
The mouse cursor will appear just below them so I move it up to click on the Windows drive and when the Arrow appears below it I try to move it down to select it but the mouse just goes up. Every time I try to move it down it just goes farther up.
Eventually the Windows boot up on it's own without me selecting the arrow so I've just got used to waiting for it to boot up without trying to select the arrow.
Other than the fact that I am using a Steel Series mouse nothing has changed.

Try cleaning the sensor with a damp (but not wet) cotton bud.

Yes, was also a problem in v1.D. MSI are aware... You can still navigate the BIOS using the keyboard.

It's probably one of three things:
#your mouse is getting old (this behavior is common in old optical mouses);
#you have software that is making your mouse cursor behave unexpectedly (I know of an option in Windows that will automatically move your mouse to windows buttons...);
#or you may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Click on the Hot Corners.. button and look at the four definitions. In the picture below, if you moved the cursor to the right top of the screen, it would slide all the applications off the screen as you describe and show the desktop. Set it to "-" to deactivate.

You don't get a sidebar in the iTunes app on the iPad. Your downloaded and synced music, audiobooks and audio podcasts will be in the Music app and your videos and TV shows will be in the Videos app - the iTunes app on the iPad is just the iTunes store.

None of the buttons work on my phone, cursor only moves up & down or side to side

Hope someone can help, I have had my BB Curve since Christmas my Partner bought it from someone as an unwanted upgrade. It was brnd new then. I used it on Friday and then 30 mins later it was ringing i tried to answer it nothing would work. The cursor moves from side to side and up and down apart from that nothing works, people can text and call but i cannot open the texts or answer the calls.
I have completed a software update but it still does not work. None of the buttons, not even the side ones work..any advice ?

The Blackberry is designed to be reset by removing the battery whilst the device is powered-on. Leave the battery out for a minute or 2.
See if that resolves the problem. If not, then more information will be needed before making suggestions. Please provide as much as you are able of the the following
Blackberry Model.
Carrier Name.
Do you have a Data Plan?
Operating System Version go to Menu > Options > About - it looks like v5.0.0.681
Memory for Device and SD Card Options > Memory
Any error statement or code.
The Exact nature of problem - the more info the better.
When this started and whether it started just after an update or new App download and which App/s theme/s download.

Tecra 9100: Accupoint permanently drifts mouse to the side

Hey Guys!
I'm having a Toshiba Tecra 9100 with an integrated AccuPoint-Mouse, which i never really liked.
So I connected a standart USB-Mouse for Windows XP usage.
But whenever Windows is running, my mousepointer is drifting to the side. If I want to klick anywhere, I have to, with the one hand, fix the Accupoint to the contrary direction of where my pointer is moving to, and with the other hand use my USB mouse "normal".
I got the newest XP Service-Packs, newest BIOS-Version, and tried to tell the Toshiba Control Center to deactivate the AccuPoint by the option "Automatic". But it's still acting when i touch it.
I have no idea what the Problem is. Is there any way to completely deactivate that AccuPoint? Or do you have any other ideas what that could be?

It is normal for the Accupoint mouse to calibrate periodically.
When the Accupoint performs this function it will drift for 5 to 10 seconds and than will stop on its own.
- Wait until the movement stops, allow the Accupoint to run its re-calibration process.
- Fighting the cursor movement only prolongs the process.
Note: If the mouse cursor drifts persistently for as long as a minute or two, and then resists your efforts to reposition it, you may have a hardware problem requiring service.

Everything else works on the iPad, but the other problem is that I am past my 90 day warrenty and it will cost me $265.00 to have Apple fix it. Is there anyway I can save my iPad?

Your warranty is actually one year - the 90-days is only for free telephone support - but the warranty would not cover damage due to the iPad being dropped. I doubt there's anything you can do to fix the rocker, so you'll probably need to pay to get the iPad exchanged (by Apple) or repaired (by a third party repair service).

With Premiere CC when I try to do a selection (click... drag... release the click) very often it stop way before the end of the move I'm swinging the Magic Mouse. I taught that the mouse clicking was defective and went to get a new Magic Mouse after lots of frustration. Today, I have an edit to do it it does the SAME thing !!

Actually, the bran new mouse is doing the same thing. What I understand after investigating on the motion and watching carefully my fingers !! - is that when I click I have to keep my finger at the EXACT same place on the mouse... drag and release and it's fine. If I click by pushing on the mouse and my finder is moving of a 1/32th of a millimeter, it will release and my selection will be to redo. You can understand my frustration ! - 75$ later... same problem, but I know that if I click with about 5 pounds of pressure and trying to pass my finger through the plastic of the mouse, it you stay steady and make it !
The problem is that scrolling is enable while clicking and it bugs.
How to disable it ??

sorry but the Magic Mouse is just useless with the new Adobe Premiere CC and since I'm not the only one but can't find answer this is really disappointing. This mouse is just fantastic and now I have to swap from a USB mouse to the Magic Mouse every times I do some editing. My USB mouse if hurting my hand somehow and I want to got back to the Magic Mouse asap. Please - for sure there is a simple solution !

How do I drag and drop files in iTunes 12? I don't see my other computers in the side bar only playlist?

I upgraded to Itunes 12 and now cannot drag and drop my movies & music files between my shared computers? The side bar option, which only appears under the Playlist tab does not show my other shared devices where I used to simply drag files over and drop them on them to transfer. I have 2 IMACs and a macbook pro that i like to keep hard copies of my music and video libraries on. Anyone know how I can get my shared computer to show up on the side bar so I can drag and drop like I've been doing for the last 5 years?

Thank you Peter. Mine is more about creating playlist on my iMac and then wanting to drop it it on to my macbook pro for tailgating and family events, instead of recreating. That doesn't seem like something that should bother apple as I already have the music and I am not going to go purchase it again off iTunes if this is what they are thinking. I think this is about limiting our ability to share music and movies.

My buttons are only clickable in certain spots and I cannot click the side bar. What's up?

I downloaded the new version of Firefox and now the side bar (when visible) is not clickable - both bar or up/down arrows - only the mouse scroll button works. I am also finding that certain buttons are very finicky about where they have to be clicked - ex: the back button will only work if clicked in the upper right portion of it.

One enters and exits full-screen with control+command+F keys. This is on the View menu in Safari. Optionally, the green traffic light in your browser title bar, if you roll over it, has the full-screen control it it. While in full-screen mode with Safari, moving your mouse pointer virtually up, and off-screen reveals the Safari title bar again, and you can click the green traffic light to exit full-screen mode.
You can hide/show the status bar by simply typing command+/. This too, is on the Safari View menu. and in 10.10.1 — it works reliably for me.
