Mouse over Tabs - shows document name?

I notice when I go to close tabs in CS5, the full name of the document appears in a white box over and to the left of the tab, when my mouse goes over the tab, then I can't close the tab until the document name disappears- which takes about 5 seconds, allthough seems like forever. Does anyone know how to turn that feature off, or reduce the time it displays the name?

Yes, when mouse over the document tab, full name of document will appear. You can just click once on the white box it will disappear.
On Preferences>General dialog, you can check off Show Tool Tips to not show the white box when mouse over document tab, but it will also stop all tips when mouse over a tool, an icon on a panel/dialog.

  • How to make yellow dialog box not come up when I mouse over tabs?

I hate the little small yellow background colored dialog box that pops up when you mouse over tabs on Firefox on Mac.
The reason why this is an in convenience on the Firefox in Mac is when a dialog box comes up and you minimize Firefox the dialog box stays there on the screen, so you have to bring Firefox to the front and then mouse over it til the box go's away, and then finally you can minimize Firefox without having the dialog box stay on your screen.
To negate this problem I want to know if their is a way for me to disable that dialog box from coming up at all. It also comes up when I mouse over my all in one sidebar add on and I have noticed it when you mouseover links on certain sites, like in Pandora when I am mousing over the different artists in my list the little box comes up, again it's not needed and very annoying.

    you must modify '''browser.chrome.toolbar_tips'''
type in the address bar '''about:config'''
then press the button''' i'll be careful i promise'''
then type in the bar '''browser.chrome.toolbar_tips'''
then '''Double-click''' on it, to make it''' false'''
    exit firefox and restart-it.

  • What is the function name of "on mouse over tab focus" and how to disable this function?

I can only find addons makes this function enable but not disable

Tab preview is an Add-on that is installed for Firefox. You can manage your add-ons by going to Firefox> Tools > Add-ons. Look through what you have installed, and disable or remove any add-on that you no longer want. That should take care of the problem.

  • SEARCH RESULTS NOT SHOWING THE NAME OF DOCUMENT

When I search for a document on the top level, the results in my case are relevant but they do not display the document name, meaning I have to go into the document to check if it is the one I'm looking for. For some reason the name of the file is displayed
in results as the first line of the document. I use a document template for letters meaning that the search results gives as list of documents that all have the same name displayed. This renders the search function almost useless as all the results are showing
the same name. Is there a way to change the results page to display the name of the document??

    Hi,
Based on your description, my understanding is that you want to show search results by document name instead of the Title.
Here are two links about how to show document name in search results, you can use as a reference:

  • With the newest auto update version of firefox there is now a white bar that pops up when you move your mouse over that area. i want that gone, how?

when you move your mouse underneath the address bar a white bar pops up, this makes it so you can't click buttons or links on websites, like login buttons for example. also when in full screen mode you can no longer mouse over tabs at the top of the screen, only that white bar shows up. that prtty much kills full screen usage for me. so that popup white bar and the full screen with the white bar without tabs has just about ruined firefox for me. anyway to fix this would be great.

  • Mysterious values appearing in Mouse-Overs

I am new to Xcelsius (I still have troubles spelling it) and I would greatly appreciate a bit of guidance.
I created a line chart, with the X-axis representing every month and year from January 2000 to the present. When graphed, the month/year category labels are horribly blurred, because there are so many of them.  As a workaround, I created  another set of category labels to represent January and June of each year. That works fine.  However, when users mouse-over the graphed line, a mysterious value sometimes appears where the month-year should appear.  These mysterious values appear only for those months that do not have X-axis labels.  For instance, since I have a category label for January 2002, January 2002 and itu2019s data value appear in the mouse-over fly-out. Since February 2002 does not have a month/year value, a mysterious number appears, with the February 2002 data value.  I think I know what the mysterious value is, but it is really unwanted, I didnu2019t put it there, and I canu2019t get rid of it.  How do I get rid of the mysterious numbers, and keep the data values, or --  better yet  -- trick the mouse-over to show the original X-axis containing all the month/years?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi BookWorm
The trick to this is to have a second line chart which is used only to display the category values.  The main chart still contains your full data but has the category labels hidden.  Getting them lined up with a lot of data like you have can be a faff but it does work well.
Contact me via my profile and I'll send you an example.

  • How to see document file name with full path when hovering mouse over title bar?

    Using PS CS6, Windows 7 x64.
I was under the impression that when hovering my mouse over the document title bar, I would see a tooltip showing the full file name, including the path.  This isn't happening and I'm wondering if there is a way to do this.  I know I can click File > Save As, or Ctrl+Shift-S to see the full path, but hoving over the title bar would be easier.  (What I am seeing now in the tooltip is the file name, % magnification and which layer I have selected.  Basically, the tooltip is just showing what's in the title bar without hovering.)
    Thank you!

Hm, I wonder if it's something they may have enabled only for the Cloud version (I have 13.1.2).  If so, I didn't notice the change at the time of the upgrade.

  • Tabs: mouse over and reset- show default/effect

    Hello,
ich have made some tabs with mouse over...
    <li class="TabbedPanelsTab" tabindex="0"

You could try adding an onmouseout event to each tab and have
that even call TabbedPanels.showPanel(4) like so:
    <li class="TabbedPanelsTab" tabindex="0"
    onmouseover="TabbedPanels1.showPanel(this);"
    onmouseout="TabbedPanels1.showPanel(4);">Demo 1</li>
    > - want the tabs to open with a soft slide effekt - when
    shown and when
    > disappear
The Spry Tabbed panels do not have any "hooks" to be able to
change how a panel is shown, so you'd have to rewrite the
    Spry.Widget.TabbedPanels.prototype.showPanel method to change how
showing a panel (and hiding the panel that was the shown panel). Or
you could do something similar to what is being done in this
    thread:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=72&catid=602&threadid =1429374&enterthread=y
Essentially, the tabbed panels have a div within them and
that div fades in when the div is shown.
One problem with widgets is that if you want to do something
different than what they are designed for, it get fairly
complicated to do if you do not know JavaScript well, so be aware
and be ready to dig in.

  • Firefox updated last night to 11.0, and now whatever website I'm on, the writing appears as gibberish or all broken up until I mouse over it. This happens on tabs, the facebook sidebar tickers, search fields, you name it. Very strange...

Things appear fine as I type them, but after a while, I will look up at a tab or search field, and the writing appears strangely. If I mouse over the gibberish text, it will return to normal.

  • Pages document opened as a PDF on the web shows old name; why?

I created a pages document with a file name "Seifert Waldren" last year. Then this year I used that same document, either as a duplicate or version and saved it with a new name Seifert Thum. Then I've put this in my web page and when I use Firefox to open the document the new tab show Seifert Waldren; but in Safari it shows Seifert Thum! I just went back to see info of the PDF and see the original title says Seifert Waldren copy. Is there a way I can discover this befor adding it to my web page? Or is this a trial and error situation?

When you use whatever you use to upload your files to your websites, check that both files don't exist in the site's directory.
Get Info shouldn't be necessary to check a file name in your directory, unless in this case there is a contradiction between what it show in Finder and any internal naming, which I have never heard of before.
Use Disk Utility to Verify/Repair your Mac hard drive, in case there is some directory damage, then reupload the file to your site.
