Mouse-over Text Viewing doesn't work

When I go to my hosting company's webmail site in Internet Explorer, I can run my mouse over an e-mail subject listing and the first few lines of that e-mail will show up without clicking on the link. When I do it using Safari, nothing pops up so I have to click on each message to see any of the text in the e-mail. (Same thing with Firefox, by the way.) Is there anything I can do, or is it the website's fault (and if it's their fault does anyone know what's wrong)? I have tried both enabling and disabling pop-ups in my preferences, to no avail. I'm pretty sure it's not a pop-up thing, because it's not a new window that opens, rather it's like a flash thing appears.
One thing I noticed, when I mouse-over an e-mail subject in IE, everything works fine. But when I mouse-over in Safari, nothing opens AND the status bar shows the following text:
Run script "openmsg('21','Inbox',%20'message')"
I tried searching the forums and knowledge base but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance!

Ok, now I'm a little bit confused
For testing, I deleted all Mouse InputDevices out of my xorg.conf. In ServerLayout I specified the following:
Section "ServerLayout"
Identifier "Default Layout"
Screen "Default Screen"
InputDevice "Dell Notebook Keyboard" "CoreKeyboard"
EndSection
Now it works all perfectly.
On my laptop I have synaptics touchpad and a external usb wheel mouse. Is it deprecated to specifiy all devices (for example mouse devices) in xorg.conf? I'm consfused, because I thought the synaptics touchpad is a special device which needs complicated configuration ;-)

Selecting < or ~ 12 pictures. (picture size are Snapshots with iphone resolution) ->Viewers opens and display them. -> Russian roullette between cmd+k or the little crop button. No indication which one will process a crop or which not. -> Both result in picture selection disappear with no crop.

I just tried what you described (although I can't really fathom why you would describe it as Russian roulette (with a variable number of L's). Unless you've been drinking a lot, which is what people are usually doing when they are playing Russian roulette. Your post was hard enough to decipher without that.
Anyway, my cropping was saved each time. I think there's something wrong with your Preview.app. Have you changed anything about the autosave functions of OSX?
I would try:
Boot into your recovery partition (restart, hold down ⌘R until you see the Apple logo), and use Disk Utility to repair your hard drive. Repair permissions too while you're there. OS X: About OS X Recovery
if that doesn't help, then I'd reinstall Mavericks over your current installation.

The mouse is controlled by the OS so don't guess any app other than a mouse driver or OS X itself would be able to cause this sort of flicker issue.
Have you seen the following and is it what you are seeing? Maybe you could make a movie (Quicktime is great for this this to make a screen recording) - but not sure how to attach a movie to these discussions as mine is grayed out and can't be selected (to the right of the insert image). What kind of mouse are you using? Is the mouse driver up to date if it's a third party mouse?

I have exactly the same issue and it is INFURIATING. I have done several factory resets. reinstalled iTunes, pretty much everything as above. Hours and hours of failed trial and error. I can get one proper sync. ONE. If I'm lucky, by wiping everything. Then will iTunes update reliably? NO. Exactly the above issue. (including huge "other" files from some of the failed syncs.)
Iphone 6, latest updates. Latest OS X, latest iTunes. This problem started in the last week or so with my iPhone 5 before I upgraded a few weeks ago. It has to be an issue with the new iTunes and its (in)ability to do proper syncing.

i know you can send text messages through your email...just like a regular email all you do is send it to [email protected] dont use a subject just use the body of the email and its easiest to keep them short..i would do a test one to your phone first just so you see how it looks. hope that helps

Resume from suspend, mouse left & middle click doesn't work

Does replugging help? Could you post a full dmesg including the attempt to replug (please annotate).

Mighty Mouse - scrolling to zoom view doesn't work in Photoshop CS, why?

I just got my new G5. Apple's new Mighty Mouse doesn't seem to work right with the main apps I use. You can't use the scroll wheel to zoom the view, in either Photoshop or Cinema4D (3d app). I tried turning off horizontal scrolling in hopes that it would fix the problem. Nope. No zoom. Can you remove the Might Mouse driver so it is just a two button/vertical scroll mouse?

Row Fetch on View doesn't work / Custom procedure needed???

Again I have a problem. It seems like once I finish one problem I stumble into another one. :-(
Would is breaking my neck is the following problem.
I have a view based on a query that joins 3 tables including one via a database-link. I would like and need to use that view as the source for the automatic row fetch! However, when creating the automatic-fetch-row process, the items on my page do not get populated. However, If I change the cource for the fetch-row-process to a view made of only a single table it works like a charm. Could it be that the automatic fetch-row procedure doesn't work with joined views and db-links at all??? If so, could you please give me an example of a PL/SQL procedure that will populate items on page reload and load!
It's extremely urgent and I appreciate every input!

Ah, ok - I probably read too much into your update (still thinking that it was related to the "view" issue in your first post :) ) - so an INSTEAD OF trigger won't be needed if this is just a single table!
There are a few ways that adding an extra column into a tabular form would stop it being updated. Typically, this could be if the new column forms part of the "Primary key" for the data. If this is the case, you need to ensure that the processes recognise this. It can also be that you have set the item to DISABLED or READONLY - these items are not submitted with the page, so even if you set the item's value somehow, that will never get back into the record (there are ways to take off the DISABLED or READONLY attributes immediately prior to the submit, if need be). That could also happen if you have set the item to be a Standard Report Column - this is just displayed text, so doesn't form part of the submitted data. You can get around that by having a hidden column with the actual data in there as well - if you have ever created a tabular form using the simple EMP table example, you'll see EMPNO and EMPNO_DISPLAY - both contain EMPNO but only the basic EMPNO hidden item is submitted. Another, perhaps rare, possibility is if you have used the APEX_ITEM package to create any of the output and have used an index number that has been automatically assigned to another column - for example, if you have APEX_ITEM.TEXT(1, ....), which gives each item a name value of "f01", then this is most likely going to double up with the index for the hidden primary key item (which is usually first in the list). If this is the case, just change the index of your APEX_ITEM item to some high number (anything up to 50).
Finally, you say "INV_PT_ID_SUB is also bound to an item PTIDS" - what is PTIDS? The MRU processes need to understand what column to update and relies on the settings for primary keys and the column names in the SQL query.
The MRU's only know about their own settings - the workspace, tablename and primary keys etc. They contain no details of individual columns as such, so adding in extra columns shouldn't be a problem. In fact, I've added/deleted so many columns from tabular forms, that I'd be really annoyed if I had to start from scratch every time!!

ID CS3 - text wrap doesn't work at the end of a long multi-columned text frame

Did a search - don't think this specific issue has been addressed:
We design large graphics often used on walls. When working with a text frame that that was 11 feet long and had 8 columns, text wrap would not work on an image placed in the last column. The same image with the same text wrap applied will work fine anywhere else in the text frame. I found that if I shortened the width of the text frame a little bit at a time eventually it would work, but there doesn't seem to be a specific cut-off width - sometimes the last column won't text wrap when the frame is 115 inches wide and sometimes it doesn't work when the frame is only 80 inches wide. Again, all of the other columns work fine. I have tried all of the obvious stuff, the only variable between the columns that wrap and the one that doesn't is it's position at the end of the text frame.
We have gotten around this issue by using multiple threaded frames instead of one long frame with multiple columns, but I am curious if anyone else has run into this or might know what the issue is.

I installed the new iOS 5 and now my text messaging doesn't work, how do i fix this?

i was wondering if this is a hardware problem with my phone since it is a refurbished one, or if it has happened to other people as well.

How are you trying to accomplish these two tasks?
The correct way is as follows:
Camera zoom: pinch with your fingers like you do when viewing pictures.
Camera button in lock screen: Double-tap on the home button while in lock screen
If you are already doing it that way and it doesn't work, then maybe someone else here has another idea.

In Yosemite, Magic Mouse double-click function doesn't work

On my iMac running Yosemite 10.10.2, the double-click function on the Magic Mouse no longer works. So to open a folder, or anything for that matter, I must always do click-control ---and that doesn't work for everything. For example, I can't double click on a character in Glyphs, so this renders Glyphs useless. And so on... I have gone into preferences to see if anything was amiss in the settings, but everything checked out fine. Is there a fix for this, or do I have to wait for the next upgrade for Yosemite? Help! Yes, that's it. I did try that before and then again after your response but still no luck. What I'm thinking is that the JS View 2.0.5 add on is not yet compatible with the new Firefox 5. If that's the case then I would hope that it will soon be compatible. The problem is that I actually use that every day and now I'm kinda stuck. Still open to any thoughts if you have any. I am willing to go back to Firefox 4 is that is still possible.

Export reports views doesn't work

export the report view's in a file doesn't work. The file is created but still empty. Workaround is to get the sql and execute it in worksheet edit and cut and past the result in a excel sheet. It woul be better if the export works fine.

Bold text formatting doesn't work on Android device

I've encountered AIR issue with text formatting. Bold formatting doesn't work on android device.
I've opened item in adobe bug system https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3638337 which describe the issue.
Currently I haven't received any helpful feedback from adobe bug system.
That's why I've desided to ask for support here.
Does somebody know some workaround for that issue?

I was wondering if you can remind Adobe dev team about this issue.
AIR 4 is released already and it doesn't have the issue fixed.
This issue becomes painful for us because we can't update to new AIR versions.
Currently we stuck with AIR 3.6. AIR 3.6 has bugs on new Android operational systems.
But we can't migrate to new AIR4 because bold formatting used heavily by our application doesn't work.
