Mouse pointer don't turn into a hand. Why?

Hi!
Why, when I make a button (adding an action to a symbol), the mouse pointer don't turn into a hand, when I put it over the button?
And how to solve that?
Thanks

You can set the mouse cursor for a symbol or a element using the mouse cursor option in the properties panel.
I think adding a action will not turn a div to button tag.

  • I have OS and photoshop CC my spacebar doesn't turn into the hand anymore

I don't know if I pressed a series of keys that took away the action of my spacebar turning into the hand tool but my spacebar now doesn't turn into the hand tool.  I have looked into the Keyboard short cuts and found the Hand tool.  It has an H next to it and that keyboard shortcut works, but I need the quickness of toggling between the hand tool and whatever other tool I'm using.  How can I get this back?

I had this same issue and a restart would NOT fix the problem, neither would reseting the prefs, or any of the other solutions mentioned in forum posts.  I discovered the problem to be the Terminal application was automatically opening on login, which had the "Secure Keyboard Entry" option enabled. (Terminal menu item->Secure Keyboard Entry (check marked))  If I quit Terminal without disabling "Secure Keyboard Entry", the spacebar in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop would work as expected.  Although, if I restarted with Terminal still loading automatically with "Secure Keyboard Entry" enabled then the spacebar would NOT work until I quit the Terminal app.  The problem is that when the computer logs into the user account and starts the Terminal app it hides the keyboard entry from other applications.  Somehow Adobe products are now sensitive to this and the spacebar stops working as is should.  So, the solution is to either make sure Terminal is not to load automatically at login, or disable the "Secure Keyboard Entry" option in Terminal and only enable it as needed.  Be sure to disable it when your are no longer using the terminal.  I have never seen this before and have been using Adobe products on OS X since its release, but I have not always used the Terminal as I do now in such a secure way.  Thanks again governments and criminals for even further complicating our lives!

    @kalos
Uninstalled everything PA, also uninstalled mangler which was the only thing that depended on PA. It didn't work anyway.
No pulseaudio --kill command so I couldn't run.
Checked systemd journal and there is no mention of PA this time.
Checked top, and grepped ps aux and there is no PA there either.
I also rebooted the machine completely just to make sure. However VLC and HTML5 have the same incompatibilities.

  • Does Yosemite have a sticky finger?  Screen freezes, but arrow cursor turns into a hand with a page stuck on its finger.

It just started freezing after the update.

Recently, the Yahoo Toolbar and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause that problem. They seem to overlap invisibly over the top of the web page display. If you have either or both, uninstall or disable them/it, or see if an update is available that solves the problem.

  • PDF's turning into FDF's -- why???

When users edit PDF's (add stamp, add signature), then save, the documents are sometimes randomly saving as FDF's, instead of remaining PDF's.  Why is this happening and how can we prevent it?  It is very inconsistent happening to some users only every once in awhile and not happening at all to other users.  Can anyone explain this?

It is likely that they are selecting the submit button and it is saving the data for submission. In Acrobat, the data format that is used is typically a FDF file. You did not mention the versions of either Acrobat or Reader that they are using. Prior to Reader XI, Reader could not save a pdf unless it had reader extensions (but that limits the number of submissions). However, there is not restriction on saving the FDF file and that can be submitted for processing to a web site for processing. As you might note, I have hinted that a lot of information on the form and the computers/OSs are not available to use and so the answer can only be suggestive.

  • Mouse pointer turns into hand (10.8)

    Dear Mac community,
On my MacPro, the cursor often turns into the hand icon,
andclicks on web site buttons and links do not work. For example, I
can't click on "add to cart" when on Amazon. Does anyone know of a fix?
Oddly enough, the cursor resumes its arrow shape when
I move it away from the link.'

    johnb-one,
Thanks very much for taking the time and effort to reply.
To provide you with more data, the same
problem occurs in the Safari, Firefox and Chrome
browsers. I am using a Logitech MX performance mouse
that uses the left panel for left-clicking.
Since receiving your reply, I have
              a. verified that I am on the latest
                  Java release
              b. cleared out the history data from
                  my browsers
              c. cleaned the mouse, and when that did not work --
             d. switched to my  "back-up" MX Performance mouse
None of these actions removed the problem in any of
    the 3 browsers.
I am having trouble reloading the Logitech MX Performance
mouse configuration utility. (After install, I get a message
that install succeeded but I can't find the icon to launch it.)
I will let you know what happens when I get it to run.
Since mouse-clicking is such a basic operation, I am
surprised that Apple does not have a utility that "captures"
the result of a click from a misbehaving mouse - thereby enabling
    diagnosis of the underlying problem.

  • Mouse pointer stuck at the right-hand corner of the screen.

    Hello all,
I am writing to find help for my girlfriend in Nepal. She says the mouse pointer is stuck in the right-hand corner of the screen, and won't move. I suspect it's a software glitch but since I'm in the US, I can't look at it. This is an old G3 iBook in which we replaced the battery just before she left, and she reports that the battery may be connected to her problem. Anybody have any ideas for fixing this?
    Any help really appreciated!
    Thanks!

Hi, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
If the iBook is running OS X 10.2 or above, have her try booting into Safe Mode. This will take quite awhile longer than a normal startup because it does a file check and repair of the hard disk.
If this works she will see the normal desktop. Once completely started up in Safe Mode, have her try to restart normally, and go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility.
Select the named boot volume in the left sidebar, ("Macintosh HD" unless it's been renamed). What is the hard drive capacity and how much space remains available on it? Repair permissions on it.
See if a little hard drive maintenance helps things out.

  • Mouse pointer is frozen at left hand corner

    Hi
My USB mouse pointer is frozen at the left hand corner. I saw posts from users who have had same issue but did not find any answers.
    I have tried the following.
    1. Using different USB ports to connect the mouse
    2. resetting PRAM
    3. resetting SMC (I think thats what it is called)
    4. Cleaning the mouse
    5. Doing a hardboot
    None of this has helped.
The mouse seems to work (e.g. I can click and it opens up the menu or if the screen saver has started, clicking the mouse stops it etc.
Other info - I always shutdown my machine. I guess this is legacy of Windows days
I dont want to reinstall the OS - that would also mean I have to update all the required OS updates post 2008 when I got the iMac
Any one has a solution for this ?
    Thanks
    Tapan

The mouse is bad, you can replace it with just about any Generic +(Logitec, Kensington, microsoft)+, a Mighty Mouse, a Magic Magic or the new Track Pad from Apple with your computer.

  • Odd GUI mouse pointer behavior

I have noticed since Lion came out the ability to resize from any window edge has seemed to have brought with it a minor annoyance. The mouse pointer form persists as an up-pointing arrow after the pointer leaves the bottom edge of an application if it is brought down to butt with the dock. Ought it not return to the "main" form of the familiar heftier-looking black arrow pointing to an approximate 11 o'clock direction?
Also, along the same lines I have noticed that if Stacks list-style menus overlap hyperlinks in Safari and you hover your mouse pointer over those areas of overlapping the pointer turns into the hand-with-an-index-finger-pointing type of pointer form. The clicking behavior remains true as one would expect and clicks the item in the Stack menu while leaving the stuff underneath alone.
Does anyone else get any of this strange behavior? I am putting it in Mountain Lion because it is also in 10.8 as it was in 10.7 Lion. It was not in 10.6 Snow Leopard and I am somewhat convinced that the "any edge resizing" feature is responsible for bringing this about.

I had to reinstall Mountain Lion and I am having the same mouse problem in Safari with a hand appearing at certain times. I never had that problem in prior iterations of OS X nor in Mountain Lion until I had to reinstall it. The hand it too large to figure out where it is when I want to insert something in text. I suppose it's the pointing index finger, but I want my arrow pointer back!

  • Change Mouse Pointer Look

    Hi,
I have a show/hide layers behavior setup on an image - when
the image is clicked. It works just fine. However, when you hover
the mouse over the image, the mouse pointer doesn't change to the
hand, like it would with a link. Is there any way to get the mouse
pointer to change to the hand when it is hovering over the image?
    Thanks,
    Lynn

Open the page in DW. Select the image and look at the
    behaviors panel.
Change the Event from onClick to <A> onClick, using the
    drop-down list of
    events in the behaviors panel.

  • Suggest mouse pointer should be redrawn when popup dialogue shown

When browsing through photos in the library the mouse pointer is correct turned off to avoid masking the photo.  Even returning to the gallery view (G) the mouse pointer is still turned off, which is fine.  Moving the mouse bring the pointer back however if the mouse is not moved and then action taken to prompt a popup dialogue using the keyboard (say you tagged some photos as rejected and then ctrl+backspace) the mouse pointer is left turned off.
Still able to navigate popup dialogue via keyboard but suggest mouse pointer should be turned back on when popup dialogue appears..
    Running Vista + LR3.3
    Ta,
    Chris

    Chris,
Are you saying that when you bring up a dialogue box by using a keyboard shortcut, the mouse pointer stays hidden and doesn't reappear even when you move the mouse?
I can't reproduce that on Windows XP. The mouse pointer is hidden when the dialogue box comes up, but any movement of the mouse brings the pointer back.
Is your mouse driver up to date?

  • My pointer keeps turning into a colorful spinning pinwheel. Mac OS X (10.5.8) using a wireless mouse and keyboard, desktop computer

My pointer keeps turning into a colorful spinning pinwheel. Mac OS X(10.5.8) using a wireless mouse and keyboard ,desktop computer.

The spinning wait cursor (or "beachball") generally means there's some problem that's causing the current app to freeze, or slowing down the current application, or that's slowing down the whole system.
Here's an overview of the spinning wait cursor.
Make a backup first, using the Disk Utility tool booted from your installation DVD to external storage.  This backup to ensure you still have access to your most current and complete data, shut this be a problem with your hardware.
Then use Utilities > Activity Monitor.app and the Utilities > Console.app tools to see what's going on, and whether there are related errors being logged.
There are some general troubleshooting articles around, too.
