Mouse pointer is flickring when i am using FIREFOX 4 why ?????

me mouse pointer keeps on FLICKRING when i use FIREFOX 4. it doesn't flickr when i use google chrome or IE. why is it so?????
its really annoying me plzzz tell what to do.????? i closed firefox many times but still the same problem.

Same problem with my site. I'm mainly using Arial on my site too, but it effects other fonts too like Verdana. With long text block the placement goes all wrong, causing text to go on top of each other and text goes behind pictures.
Seems like this is caused by some particular graphics cards with some specific drivers.
My site did work ok with FF4, untill I updated my graphics card.
EDIT: Noticed that the problem only occurs when I use font sizes of 11 or bigger. Size 10 and smaller are all working ok.

When I am using Firefox 4 my Dock and the top of screen meu bar disappear (similar to a Hide) but will reappear when I click my mouse on the desktop. It really annoying! I can't minimize the Firefox window into the Dock for later use at all! Any way that I can make this stop?

This has happened to me before and it took me a long time to work it out.
But all you need to do is froce quit safari or any application that this is happening to and start the application again.

You can set the mouse cursor for a symbol or a element using the mouse cursor option in the properties panel.
I think adding a action will not turn a div to button tag.

Why can't i log into youtube when i'm using firefox?

I used to be able to log into my youtube account using firefox. Now I cannot. When I click on youtube's signin button it says loading for a moment and then returns to the page, I never get to the signin page. Oh, and yes I have a google+ acct.

The issue may be because of your corrupted cookie file (cookies.sqlite)
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

I can't open the chat bar in facebook when using Firefox, why?

Whenever i use Firefox in Facebook, i can't open the chat bar and when i try to click Profile, I still have to confirm it. It's also the same when i try to look at notifications and when i try to log-out. Is there a way to make it stop asking me when i go to my profile without the browser asking me?

I have exactly the same problem.
It only affects FaceBook and only in Firefox but it's really annoying.
I can post status updates but can't comment on them or on anything else.
The message "Unable to post comment." with the option to "try again" appears every time.
Also, when I try to "Like" something it's as if it works for a split second and then self "unlikes" again. It's only today I've started to have this problem.
I've tried jscher2000's idea but it did not solve this problem.

When loading a page using Firefox, at the top of the page, I get a mesage telling me "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page - Allow?" This happens almost every time I begin a new page and Firefox will not allow the page to continue uploading. I have to tell it to allow every time, even on pages I've 'allowed' in the past.

The Redirection option is an Accessibility feature for people with Disabilities so that they will know when a page is going to be reloaded. It is not a Security feature.

Speed downstream and upstream when I am using Firefox. When I am using Internet Explorer I dont have this problems

Iam using Firefox 12.0 Swedish version. When I use Firefox I have problem with the speed downstreams

Why does my screensaver not kick in when I am using Firefox?

I have a new pc, a pavilion using windows 7. I have set my screensaver to engage after 2 minutes and it does when I am using explorer, but it does not when I use firefox. Is there something in browser settings that I need to change? If so, how do I do that?

When I started using Firefox 4, I seem to have lost my Norton stuff.

When I updated to Firefox 4, I lost my Norton safe-site info, and my Norton auto-fill info.

Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

I am receiving pop up alerts when opening and using firefox stating "win 7 total security 2011 has blocked a program" is this a virus and how can i fix it?

Whenever I open or use Firefox I'm receiving a pop up message telling me I am under attack and my info is at risk and I am being prompted to activate "win 7 2011 total security" to remove the threat.
I have run my own virus scan and nothing is detected.
Is this legitimate from Firefox?

I cannot open PDF files while I am using Firefox. This is true for opening PDF pages in Firefox and outside of Firefox.

I ran into the same problem, and here is what I have done to fix it.
Go to Tools/Add-ons
You might have to get the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader (Likely 10.x.....)
On any exiting Adobe Acrobat Reader select disable (to disable the plug-in)
If you have already gotten the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader just disable any earlier version.
There is no official way to uninstall a plug-in so this it the workaround.
If you do need to uninstall the plugin you need to type about:config ....about:plugins search for the article to do it.
