Mouse Related Triggers - 10g Forms

Hi All,
How to achieve mouse related trigger functionality to work with ORACLE Forms 10g. We have seen few links in blog from Francois. i.e
http://sheikyerbouti.developpez.com/forms-pjc-bean/menu/. But our requirement is to enable hyperlink for few labels in Forms.
We have enabled this in 6i forms by set_application_property(cursor_style,hand). But how to enable the same in 10g Forms.
Request forum users to share with us some good links or use ful to stuff to enable this.
Thanks

<<...But i find only forms 6i related links in OTN..>> ???

  • Migrate to 10g from 6i, Mouse related trigger replacement

    I am new in JDeveloper. While implementing the Mouse related trigger (say, when-mouse-enter) for a text item, I am following the example of button provided by the Oracle for the same purpose. But somehow I was unable to implement that.
    Can some body provide me the detail steps of creating the Workspace, project, class and JAR files and how to use it. I am using Oracle Jdeveloper 10g & converted 10g form.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Mouse Over Toolbar In Forms 4.5 and Registry stuff too

    Is it possible to create an MS Office 97 /ie3/ie4 type of mouse
    over toolbar in forms 4.5.....
    I'm trying (with litlle success) to use images as buttons ...
    unfortunately i have a lot of problems
    1. each button has 4 states: flat, up, down, disabled... which
    leads to 4 bitmaps...... 16 buttons * 4 bitmaps = 64 bitmaps to
    be loading depending on what buttons are doing....
    2. 1 could be solve by an array of images ( i think.... )
    which would be loaded at runtime and swapped into the buttons as
    i'd go.....
    3. programming all those triggers... to deal with the mouse
    states is very labourious and tricky (so what) but also i would
    think quite ineffient.......
    so if anyone could help me i'd really appreciate it
    Also... does forms 5 maybe suppourt mouse over toolbars????
    and lastly..... does oracle provide any mechanism for reading
    from the windows registry..... to allow username and company
    name to be extracted at runtime for use in a splash screen a la
    MS word/excel/vis c++ etc
    all help would be greatly appreciated....

    set the ORACLE_HOME (eg set %ORACLE_HOME%=C:\dev10g
    set the TNS_ADMIN
    3 Run tnsping <Enter your hostname>
    4 Also check if you have recently installed any virus scanner /any other appln

  • AUTHENICATE SSO RAD INFO IN LOGON TRIGGER IN 10G FORM?

    I've been trying to add a LOGON Trigger to my Oracle 10g Form to check my RADs after logging into SSO.
    I'm having a problem setting up multiple Config's for multiple RADs. I have about 7different applications that I would like to log into but would like to log into the SSO just once. But for some reason each application is asking for a SSO log in.

    Hi!
    This is a webutil-restriction.
    You cannot use webutil in triggers that fires before the form has complete focus.
    Like pre-form, when-new-form-instance and on-logon triggers.
    In a when-new-form-instance trigger create a timer, let's say 200 millisconds long.
    In a when-timer-expired trigger you can call webutil.
    May you put your configuration-file on the server and use d2kwut !
    Regards.

    The Up and Down arrow keys work will you enter a LoV, and I could not figure out key strokes to come out of the LoV !
    Maybe someone else has some idea of this.
    Cheers,

    Hi all..
    When I'm trying to execute a form in Oracle 10g forms developer I'm getting this error... PDE- PER001-Internal Error deplu 3
    Please help me to correct this
    Thanks in advance,
    Nycy

    Hi Arniko,
    Thanks .. It worked...
    But I have one more doubt ...
    I saw in a forum that this happens due to :
    The error is a procedure builder error often seen while compilation when multiple forms are opened in a form builder and can be solved by reopening the form builder or open one form at a time and compile... ( This also works )
    Is that something related to any inbuilt procedure with Oracle 10g Forms builder...??Is there any way to correct that?
    Pls help me...
    Thanks in advance,

  • How to control a twain device (Canon Powershoot Camera) from 10g forms

    it works great with the canon Powershoot camera we are using, it's a twain based application. The question I have, can I use Web_UTIL to contorl the software if it supports twain? Any suggestions or examples?
    The software is perfect for what we need, I just need a simple way to connect the 10g form to the twain driver.

    I have an example vi for interfacing to the foscam activex.
    I plan on using mouse click events within the activex window to trigger the PT function.
    I only have the basic up/down/right/left directions and not the down-right/down-left/up-right/up-left in the enum.  You can load the camera's web page and view the source to see the Java script code that uses the activex control.  There are definitions for the other directions.
    I had to mark the control as "Disabled" to keep click events from going to the activex control.  If I double click the control, it goes full screen.  If I then click on it to get out of full screen mode the video never returns or returns to the wrong spot in the VI.

  • Key triggers in forms

    How at add key triggers in Forms.For example : When users click function key "F2" then it should save the record.
    Thanks
    Saritha

    hi,
    there are two ways to do it,
    one is to re-map function keys using oracle terminal,
    other is to use triggers that are already associated to the operations that
    are performed by pressing these keys e.g.
    F1 ---> Help
    F9 ---> List of values
    F4 ---> Duplicate record
    you can use these triggers to redefine the function/operation of keys
    by their associated triggers, like if you want 'F4' to save the data,
    you will write 'COMMIT_FORM' or any code you want, on trigger
    KEY-DUPLICATE-RECORD which is fired while 'F4' key is pressed,
    since this trigger is associated with 'Duplicate record' event.
    once you write the code on this trigger at form level, it will perform
    the required operation on activation.
    regards,
    aamir.

  • Iconic file in oracle 10g forms

    hii,,
    i am a new user in oracle 10g form,,,here i am running a form & placing all the icons in a folder,after that i changed the iconic file path in the default.env file,the path is same where the icons are kept,,but still i am unable to see the icons at the run time,,,,,
    do i need to modify some other file or the icons will be kept at some particaular place????
    plzzzz help.....

    hi
    1 How to Display Iconic Images Using Forms 9.0.x/ 10.x?
    When running an Oracle Forms 9i/10g application the icon files used must be in a web enabled
    format such as JPG or GIF (GIF is the default format) (This is unlike older versions of forms running in client-server mode when the file format is .ico.)
    Icon image files can either be retrieved by Forms as individual files on the filesystem or from a Java Archive (JAR file).
    If an application uses lots of icon images it is recommended that they are stored in a JAR file to reduce the number of HTTP round trips.
    Reference:Note 232413.1 How to Deploy Iconic Images via a JAR File in Forms 9i/10g?
    The example below details steps to configure iconic images as individual gif or jpeg files.
    It is a first approach recommended for initial testing and understanding.
    Example:
    ========
    This document has been written for use with both Windows and UNIX operating systems: Windows will use the "\" character to delimit directories and UNIX uses the "/" character. Any other differences are noted in the document.
    1) Determine the physical location of the icons on your web server. For this example, assume that the icons are stored in D:\Myfiles\icons.
    2) Create the virtual directory in the forms90.conf file that point to the location of your Forms 9i/10g icons. This file is located in:
    $ORACLE_HOME\forms90\server\forms90.conf
    To define a virtual directory forms90/icons, use the following syntax:
    # Virtual path for ICONS (used to show icons in a form ) AliasMatch ^/forms90/icons/(..*) "D:\Myfiles/icons/$1"
    Below is an example of the forms90.conf after it has been modified to include the /forms90/icons virtual directory.
    # Virtual path mapping for Forms Java jar and class files (codebase) AliasMatch ^/forms90/java/(..*) "E:\IASR2\APP/forms90/java/$1" # Virtual path for JInitiator downloadable executable and download page AliasMatch ^/forms90/jinitiator/(..*) "E:\IASR2\APP/jinit/$1" # Virtual path for runform.htm (used to run a form for testing purposes) AliasMatch ^/forms90/html/(..*) "E:\IASR2\APP/tools/web90/html/$1"
    # Virtual path for ICONS (used to show icons in a form ) AliasMatch ^/forms90/icons/(..*) "D:\Myfiles/icons/$1"
    ( For 10g use instead of "forms90" -> "forms")
    3) Direct forms to use the /forms90/icons or /forms/icons virtual directory when running on the web by modifying the Registry.dat file in the $ORACLE_HOME\forms90\java\oracle\forms\registry or $ORACLE_HOME\forms\java\oracle\forms\registry
    directory. Note that for UNIX, both the path name and file name are case sensitive. You must specify "Registry.dat".
    Modify the default.icons.iconpath entry as follows: default.icons.iconpath=http:///forms90/icons/ or default.icons.iconpath=http:///forms/icons/
    If the URL used to bring up forms on the web is: http://abc.oracle.com:7778/forms90/f90servlet or http://abc.oracle.com:7778/forms/frmservlet
    Then the entry required for the Registry.dat will be: default.icons.iconpath=http://abc.oracle.com:7778/forms90/icons or default.icons.iconpath=http://abc.oracle.com:7778/forms/icons default.icons.iconextension=gif
    4) Now use EM Website to: a) Restart the OC4J-BI-Forms Instance b) Restart the BI-FORMS HTTP Server Instance.
    5) Verify that the virtual directory has been defined properly and that the icons can be viewed in a browser.
    Assuming that exeqry.gif exists in the D:\Myfiles\icons directory, the following URL should show the icon:
    http://abc.oracle.com:7778/forms90/icons/exeqry.gif or http://abc.oracle.com:7778/forms/icons/exeqry.gif
    6) Check the form : http://abc.oracle.com:7778/forms90/f90servlet?form=D:\Testcases\F90\ICON_CHECK_IASR2.fmx or http://abc.oracle.com:7778/forms/frmservlet?form=D:\Testcases\F10g\ICON_CHECK_IASR2.fmx
    CHECKLISTS
    =============
    Icons do not appear in the browser using the URL:
    o Verify that you are using the correct machine name and port for the OC4J_BI_Forms object.
    o Check the virtual directory name to make sure that there are no typographical errors. o Check for typographical errors in the forms90.conf or forms.
    conf for the virtual directory. o Check the name of the icon on the file system. If the file is saved as Exeqry.gif, then it will not be found using the URL http://abc.oracle.com:7778/forms90/ Close all your browser sessions and open a new browser window.
    Execute the URL to bring up from the Form Builder runtime or from the browser.
