Mouse right click throttled/not detected after burst of right clicks

I have a problem with the right click of my mouse after sending a "burst" of clicks (I cant really count but its at least 1/sec).
I noticed this problem first when trying to play Dota2, I have not yet tested if I can reproduce the problem from any other application.
The problem carries on after closing Dota2. I ran xev afterwards to see if it detects the right clicks accordingly but it also misses a lot of right-clicks, left clicks and mouse movement work flawlessly. The problem occurs with different window manager (i3 and awesome).
Steps to reproduce:
- Start Dota2, join a game
- Do a lot of right clicks
- After a short burst of right clicks a lot of right clicks are not registered, making it nearly impossible to play
- Quit Dota2
- Still miss a lot of right clicks

  • Touchsmart 520-1047c Mouse and Keyboard will not work after sleep mode

I have an issue which I need some help with. When my computer goes to sleep the wireless mouse and keyboard will not work unless I restart, however each one will wake the system up but will not operate after that. I have tried just making the display go to sleep, both go to sleep but that makes no difference same issue occurs. The only work around I have found is going into the power settings and turning the sleep mode off for booth the computer and display. This does not solve the problem it just masks it. New batteries, unplugged and replugged the dongle, updated the bios and all drivers. Don't know what else to try. Anybody know how to fix this? Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello , Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? • Plz help, "device not detected" after windows updates?? I have so

I have An Audigy 2 ZS, and have the latest drivers. It has been working PERFECT, LAST NIGHT I had like 0 WINDOWS UPDATES, i dont' know if any of these had anything to do with this. But, I just now went to the icon in the task bar, and went to change SPEAKER SETTINGS to switch to HEADPHONES as I ALWAYS DO, I was surprised when the "unable to change the sound device to your selected device", you press ok, and it comes up TWO MORE TIMES, Right after each other.
I DO HAVE SOUND, FOR NOW. I have read other mentioning this error, but I didn't seem to find any answers. I can't go to speaker settings, or Surround Mixer,
OK, NOW I tried to go to GRAPHICS EQ, and an error came up that said "THE AUDIO DEVICE SUPPORTED BY THIS APPLICATION IS NOT DETECTED, THE APPLICATION WILL EXIT"
    What is going on?
I went to device manager and it says that the device is working properly, and I DO have sound.
I DON'T get it. And I'm not likeing this. This is starting to worry me.
Does ANYONE know what is going on.. PLZ?

Thanx for the reply. I just now fixed it. I'm not totally sure what I did. Earlier I had uninstalled the device from Device manager, and then restarted, and it installed the drivers from the CD. It didn't fix it. So, I ran the LIVE update here at creative.com and downloaded the version I had before, I guess because when i had ran the update before I uninstalled the device the update wasn't there.
But, it started to update, and said something it had to restart the pc in order to install the update, and after it installed the new "creative audio console" it now works.
the whole thing was strange since I dind't lose sound at all. Just couldn't access settings.

  • Wireless mouse pointer which does not move after boot *sometimes*

    Hi,
I have a wireless keyboard/mouse combo from Logitech (MK700 keyboard and MX705 mouse), which uses a USB receiver.
After booting, the mouse pointer sometimes is completely blocked, and I have to reboot to make it work. Sometimes I need to do this twice. I cannot reproduce it and this is not linked to the fact the mouse is active or on sleep mode. This seems to be a race condition, considering it is difficult to reproduce. Once the mouse pointer is working, there is no issue anymore during desktop use.
I compared lsmod when mouse pointer is working or not, and did not see any difference in the loaded modules.
This started to happen maybe 3 months ago. I have had this hardware for two years with no problem in the past. It is not a battery problem either.
    Has anyone an idea?

    Thanks.
Ther is indeed a difference in evedev detection in Xorg logs when mouse is working or not working.

  • Tx2510us - Fingerprint Reader Not Detected after Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 installed

Have had Windows 7 32-Bit installed and running fine since early last year..   Today Windows Update installed Service Pack 1.
Now, the fingerprint reader (AuthenTec AES1610) is not detected.   Digital Persona reported the fingerprint reader isn't connected and the Device Manager shows installed and working properly..   When the computer boots, the logon screen shows not detected..
Have seen several older posts that reference a page with a fix for AuthenTec/Digital Persona, but get a 403 error when trying to access..
Hoping someone still has this info, or possibly there's a new fix to work with Service Pack 1..
    Thanks

Followed the given advice: installed SP1 again, ran Firefox in safemode, disabled other running programs as mutorrent, still Firefox didnt work. I had internetconnection (after restarting mutorrent this did work, the app telling me what the weather outside is worked) but no Firefox: as previous time I got the start screen, but could not browse the internet.
I also tried to start the Internet Explorer and it also looked as if that application had problems (but that can also be because I did not use it for a while - old version or whatever - and it is not my standard browser).
Have again performed a roll back in order to remove SP1, now Firefox works again.
If somebody has advice it would be very welcome!

  • Flash Not Detected After Enterprise Deployment

I recently deployed Flash 13 from ConfigMgr 2012. My package consisted of the Flash uninstaller and the Flash msi. I run the uninstaller first to make sure that the systems were clean followed by the Flash msi installer. When my users go to sites that contain Flash it is not detected. Checked add/remove programs shows that Flash 13.xxx ActiveX is installed. Users are using IE9 and Windows 7 x86. If I go to the adobe site and install Flash from there it works. For testing I deployed Flash 14 to a couple users who were having the issue. The same thing happens with 14. So again, I go and install Flash from the internet. Checking Add/Remove programs afterwards shows two identical entries for Flash Active x 14. The only difference is the size of the installations. Further testing today seems to indicate that if a new user logs into a machine where Flash is broken Flash works for that user. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

I had the same issue after installing Mountain Lion from the App store. The issue is you are missing the IOUSBFamily.kext extension amongst others. The solution is to backup your macbook, then perform a clean install of Mountain Lion.
I had this done at the Apple Store and now everything is restored as well as performance speed being improved.
Note: When restoring your files (a clean install will delete all your files and applications), use the Migration Assistant.
I would recommend going to the Apple Store to do this because they can perform the clean install from a USB which is so much faster than the download form the App store.
    Hope this helps.

  • Equium A300D-16C - Battery not detected after replacement

I have a Equium A300D-16C. The original battery was shot so I purchased a Genuine PA3727-1brs 12 cell battery. I have put it in the laptop it appears to charge it but in the corner it still says no battery detected even though its on charge. When I take out the charger it will say unknown remaining.
I have tried the usual tricks of going into device manager and uninstalling the apci compliant control and still it has not sorted it self out. I have also updated my bios to the most recent one. I just wanted to know what else could I do so I can see how much battery is left and if the laptop can recognise i.,

    Hello
Is it an original Toshiba battery from an authorized service provider?
Usually the new battery should be detected after first start I would recommend charging the battery while notebook is turned off. Then start notebook with battery only and check if its recognized properly.

  • Zen Extra Not Detected after upgr

    Hi All,
I have a 30GB Zen Extra with firmware .03.02 and an XP ServPak 2 laptop with all current critical updates. This morning I upgraded from MediaSource Organizer 2.0.07 to Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 5.0.38.
When I run MediaSource Player/Organizer 5.0.38 it does not detect my Zen Extra (it says "player not connected"). When I run the old version of MediaSource Organizer (version 2.0.07) it detects the player just fine.
I tried to look thru the Knowledge Base but all of my search terms did not provide any useful answers.
Any way to get MediaSource Player/Organizer 5.0.38 to connect to my Zen Extra?
And why is the old version of MediaSource Organizer still on my system? Shouldn't the upgrade delete it's
    Thanks!
    Advait

must be a common issue. Same thing happens to me with my Zen Sleek.
What I'm going to try is deleting ALL Creative stuff and starting over. It is probably a software bug. I don't expect it to work, but I will give it a shot.

  • DVD Drive not detected after Vista reinstall/recover

    Hi,
I was having various problems with my computer (dv6815nr) so I did a complete recovery using the recovery image
on the hard drive.  Everything seems to work now except the dvd drive is not working. it is not detected in device manager.
I have tried all the fixes and "mr. fix its" that i could find on the ms knowledge forum.  i have also checked the registry for the upper/lower filters as described on the ms website and also in this forum.  i have also removed, rebooted, shutoff and then reinstalled the drive with no results.  any help would be greatly appreciated.
    gocd1

yes, the drive was working immediately before the recovery.  I noticed that the drive was not working when i went to install the windows ultimate upgrade disc. drive lights up, spins disc and then nothing.  Also, i have physically removed the drive from the computer, shut off computer removed power supply (cord and battery) held down power button for 30 seconds restart computer with drive not in computer and then shutoff again and physically reinstall drive.  Also have done uninstall of all IDE/ATA controllers channels in device manager and then restart as recommended on another post.  looked on another hp6700 and found "cd/dvd" on device manager list and mine does not have that. so not sure why dvd drive would be in ide/ata channel list.

  • Click wheel not working after replacing it!

I have replaced an old battery on my 5th Gen iPod. Then I noticed that the click wheel wasn't working at all. I have checked all the connections and everything seemed connected but still not working. I bought another click wheel, replaced it and it's still now working. Maybe there is something else wrong.
Can anybody give me some feedback please! Thanks:)

The Hold switch is in the OFF position?
I don't have experience with a 5th gen iPod, but on older models, there is an internal connector and ribbon cable that links the Hold switch to the logic board.  Makes sure that connection is secure, and not damaged.  The iPod may think the Hold switch is ON, when it is not.  That would cause the click wheel to be unresponsive.

  • Zen Micro - not detected after installing new flashc

I replaced the flashcard in my Zen Micro. Everything went well until I tried to connect the player to my computer and download the firmware. I get a message that the player is not detected.
I have read a lot of posts on this and other forums and tried many solutions--connecting the player to another computer, deleting the player from the hardware list in Device Manager and reconnecting it, connecting it to different USB ports, and using different software (Windows Media Player, Creative MediaSource, RealPlayer, etc.). So far, nothing has worked.
My computer is running Vista. I have another one that is running Windows XP. If anyone has suggestions for working around this on either system, I'd be grateful! Otherwise, I'm afraid my beloved Zen Micro is a goner... :-(
    Thank you!

The problem will be the same I would think because the issue is that the player is an older one, so WMP does not recognise it. Unless they change it in te full version, which is probably only a slim chance, you will still need to download the hotfix and the other update.
But if i were you i wait for the full version anyway, the Beta 2 is better but still far from perfect...

  • Right click is not working after upgrading to firefox 3.6.7

Firefox updated today to 3.6.7. Now when I right click to same a page, or any other function nothing happens. Have gone to tools options, java script to disable menu changes. But nothing worked. Back to default.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== After upgrading to the latest version

I cured mine by disabling ad block plus.
This is a right shame because adblock plus is otherwise awesome..

  • Why do my mouse and my trackpad not react after a few minutes? I always have to reboot after a few minutes. And I just cleaned the Macbook, so just a fresh Mountain Lion is on the computer.

I had problem with my Macbook (End 2008). It grabbed everything, when I was moving over it with the mouse. And left stuff somewhere else.
So I decided to clean the MacBook and I just put a new system on it, after a new Mountain Lion. Nothing else.
Now the external mouse and the trackpad work after a restart.
But after minutes the trackpad is still moving the mouse over the screen, but I can´t click anything.
    Not even with my mouse.
    What is wrong?

Try going to Starbucks and connect thru their WiFi and see if you experience same issue. If not, it may be your wireless router not compatible to wireless-N built in the macbook pro. It could be your router cycling on and off its connection without even noticing it.  Do you have any other wifi at home that doesn't experience this issue?
You need to do process of elimination. Keep us posted. Thanks!
