Mouse Track loosing sensativity... need help

Hey. Sometimes, when I click on the bottom half of my mouse track, it does not work. I have to push A LOT HARDER than usual...
Anybody know how i can solve this?

Mouse tracking speed, 3rd party help!

I have a Kensignton Mouse and I am running Kensington Mouseworks. I have a 23 inch screen and the mouse tracking speed even at the slowest setting (in Mouseworks software) is MUCH too fast. I am doing 3D work which requires precision.
I have contacted Kensington but they are terrible, they keep telling me to change the setting in the Mouseworks software, or re-install the software, but I have done this to no avail.
My question: is there another way to do this? Can I use other mouse software, or is there any setting in OSX to get my result?

it says that bluetooth functionality isn't yet available, is there another driver that works with bluetooth?
i just bought a logitech bluetooth mouse with ... a whole bunch of buttons. osx recognizes the mouse and it works great with the two mouse buttons, basic scroll functionality (it has omni scroll direction mouse wheel, but osx only lets it scroll up and down like a normal scroll wheel) and i can program any 3 of the 14 buttons (scroll wheel buttons included) to make expose work. The thing is, i want to be able to program every one of those buttons to do something, and i want to have the scroll wheel work properly along with the two page up/down buttons just in front/back of the scroll wheel. essentiallyl, a driver that will make it work the way it should.

Commentary track...need help

Hi Gang.
I need to do something that, no doubt, is much simpler than the ways I've imagined it might be accomplished.
I have a one minute video. I need to record a commentary for this video. During the commentary I'll need the video to freeze at certain points, or roll it back, etc.
I know there is a voice over tool in FCP, but I don't think it will work for this.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Im assuming you have a script already written and it comes in under the 1 min duration of the video?
There is probably quite a few ways of going about it really, comes down to user preference. I would personally lay the video down on the timeline and play through it a few times placing markers along the way to highlight various key points including the poster frames if needs be. I would have the same marker numbers along with a time reference e.g 10 seconds in etc, on the script so that I would know where I should be when working with the voice over tool.
select the full sequence, use the voice over tool and the script until it was roughly about right.
Then blade it up using markers etc if needs be to get it bang on, add a few cross fades so the audio isn't ON or OFF and then job done.

Here are the instructions...
Update firmware with DOS CD
To boot from CD you have to hold down the option key (<alt>) during startup. A HDD icon and a CD should appear on the gray screen. The HDD has the volume name written below and the CD is named Windows. Select the CD and boot to DOS.
Hit <ESC> to skip the README.TXT
Use PG UP/DOWN keys on an external keyboard to scroll through the readme, using arrow keys may lock DOS.
SeaFlash offers some options you should explore before performing the update. If you just want to do it ASAP then hit <D>.
Hit <L> to list compatible drives and FW version. (Column New FW version should state SD24, hit <ESC> to go back to main menu.)
Hit to scan your drive(s). (Shows your model and FW, <ESC> for main menu)
Finally hit <D> to update your Momentus XT to SD24. (takes about 15s to update)
Power off your Mac.

But they only had instructions outside the realm of MS Windows is to burn it on a disk and run a cold boot to the disk drive. Otherwise if Seagate did provide detail instruction on how to install this then can you provide me a link?

In need of a Mighty Mouse Track Ball

Something small and hard, fell in the mouse track ball area and while i was pressing it (upside down) on a piece of paper to clean it, that little hard piece of dust, carved the surface of my track ball making it unable to scroll without jumping around!
So im now in the need of purchasing a new ball and replacing it! Does the ball as a part exist? Because i can't find anything on ebay! Any help?

Just use the plain linear fit!
(If you are discussing something you found in the forum, you should always include a link so we can see what you area talking about. What you probably found was a workaround that forces an intercept of zero for a special scenario. If you want to use general linear fit anyway, your matrix simply also needs a constant term)

Your files are unaffected by a reset.. no reset via the reset button on the TC harms, deletes or does anything to your files.
The Factory Reset universal
Unplug your TC/AE. Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on.. all without releasing reset and keep holding in for about 10sec. The time is not important.. it is the front LED rapid flashing that indicates you are in factory mode.
Release reset.
If it doesn’t flash rapidly you have released reset at some point and try again.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
Here is how to do a fully manual setup for TC which is sometimes necessary with Mavericks in particular.

I suggest using Header and Footer rows, which are very useful in Numbers.
Say you start with this table:
Convert the first row to a header row:
Convert the last row to a Footer Row:
Add a sum formula in the Footer Row:
Then when you add values in the following rows the sum will adjust automatically and the table will expand as you add more data:

I need help with tracking

Ok the video that you can see on my youtube is the one I need help with. The video is actually in 1080p and I have no idea why it is showing in such a low resolution, but that is not the problem. I need to track the gun and add a null to that track, after that I want to add a red solid layer and bring down its opacity a little, to simulate a laser sight from the gun.Then I tried to parent and SHIFT parent the red solid to the track, the end product would have to look like what you can see in the picture. I have watched a TON of videos about tracking and just can not the the result I need. the laser needs to follow the gun as I aim up and bring the gun down. How should I do this.......? Please someone help or link me a tutorial that will be helpful.....

You have a couple of problems. First you don't need to use shift parent, just parent. Second, your red solid is a 3D layer and you have applied 2D tracking info to the solid. Actually, there's another mistake and it is in the tracking. You should also be tracking scale because the gun moves from left to right as well as up and down. This changes the distance between the front and back tracking points.
My workflow with this project would be:
Track Motion of the front and back of the gun including position, scale and rotation
Apply the track info to a null called GunTrack or something like that
Add a solid and apply the beam effect or mask the red solid to simulate the shape of a laser sight
Change the blend mode of the solid to ADD
Move the anchor point to the center of the starting point of the laser
Parent the solid to the Gun Track null
That should do it.
