Mouse unable to click/drag when in Mac applications

I'm having trouble with my mouse - I am unable to drag any icons or files withing Mac applications (iPhoto, iTunes, Mail, Desktop), although my mouse seems to be working fine otherwise. For example, I can click and drag to crop a photo in iPhoto, but cannot drag a photo onto the desktop. I am unable while on the desktop to drag items into the trash, move icons, move email messages to other folders, add songs to playlists, rearrange dock icons, etc. I can click and drag dashboard items, however.
Also, I don't know if this is related in any way, but around the time this started happening, my Time Machine Backups icon began having a little lock on it and when I attempt to open it, I am told that I "do not have sufficient access privileges". Could this be related?
My husband and I have separate account logins, and the same issues are happening when he logs in as well.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Links work in mms and sms messages fine but its any link in the email.

I access the web on the N95, go to home page, when i click on the Hotmail link it takes me to the inbox and then when i click on the email it displays the text as normal text. urls are there but not clickable and no option to copy and paste. The same is when i access O2 email from the same browser
I have taken some pics to show you what i mean. Normal urls are underlined in messages and are blue when they are clickable
Now i know if its a short url i can maybe write it down but alot of the times i get emails with long urls so it can be a pain to write these down and as i said with no copy and paste functionality this is starting to annoy me.

In a plugin, you provide the UI code.
So you can capture whatever you want within your own dialog/window.

MOUSE UNABLE TO CLICK

If situation is due to corrupted software or something along those lines, the software experts will need to help you. There may be something that can be done short of a clean install of the OS. The ultimate solution may be a clean install of the OS and other software. This is a lot of trouble of course, and you would want to back up all your stuff on an external firewire drive before doing it. But if you were to do a clean install of the OS and the problem disappeared, then you would know it was software related. Then you would be faced with the tedious task of refreshing all the software and updates one by one and checking the trackpad function after each one.
Alternatively, if this is a known issue, and you would have to call Apple to find this out, then presumedly a fix will be on the way.
And then again--Leopard comes out tomorrow! Who knows? Maybe a clean install of Leopard would take care of things. It will be interesting to see if anyone on this thread does that and if it makes a difference.

Unable to open forms when Launching another application on same browser.

I have a server with configuration Oracle EBS 12.1.1 on RHEL 5.5, Database 11.1.0.7. On client machine we use Internet explorer, Firefox and Chrome to access the EBS and forms.
We are able to open the forms from all browsers, but problem arise when we access another application on same browser, resulting in not opening of oracle forms.
This is a java application using the same database on the server. This application works fine but Our Oracle Forms has to face the problems.
When we try to launch the forms, it results in FRM-92101 error. I read the MOS documents for
R12: "FRM-92101:There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup" Error When Attempting to Launch Forms [ID 454427.1]
Then I checked the application log file, it says that:
13/08/12 18:47:41.891 formsweb: Forms session <207> failed during startup: no response from runtime process
13/08/12 18:50:43.704 formsweb: Forms session <209> aborted: runtime process failed during startup with errors
Unable to switch to Working Directory: /oracle/TEST/apps/tech_st/10.1.3/forms
When I further investigate I found there is no such "forms" directory under "/oracle/TEST/apps/tech_st/10.1.3".
Then I read Oracle Notes:
FRM-92101 : Unable To Switch To Working Directory. (Doc ID 1434888.1)
FRM-92101 Error in Application.log: Unable to Switch to Working Directory (Doc ID 432708.1)
But no luck with all these. Please suggest something. Can't open both application simultaneously on same browser.

Please state whether the application was working fine before.
Please provide log file of:
--$LOG_HOMEora/10.1.3/j2ee/forms/forms_default_group_1/application.log
--DB alert logfile --check whether you can find any valuable information.

That version cannot be upgraded further if it's a 2G model. The 3G model can be upgraded to iOS 5.x.x. You can't have a 2G model because the maximum iOS version is 4.2.1.

Kill the MouseEven.CLICK event when mouse is held down?

I have been studying games on Facebook and am trying to emulate mouse event handling. For example in ChefVille you can click on objects and drag them around. But if you hold the mouse down you pan the entire game environment and when you release the mouse button a click is NOT registered on the object below the mouse. In my tinkering the CLICK event is triggered on the release of the mouse button no matter how long I keep the button depressed. How do I keep the CLICK event from firing if the mouse is held down for some period of time?

I don't know that you can cancel a CLICK event in the middle of it happening (CLICK = MOUSE_DOWN followed by MOUSE_UP), but you can trigger a Timer on the MOUSE_DOWN event and use its event handler to set a boolean variable that your CLICK event handler function can make use of to decide whether or not to process a CLICK event.

A window is suppose to open if you click on an app. You need to clarify exactly what is going on. Are you saying 2 windows are opening up? If so, check your speed settings in System Preference>Mouse.
Since you did not provide any system info (blank system profile) I cannot offer any further suggestions.

If you can find any USB wired mouse to use, to test and attempt a repair, or software reset of the MacBook, that would be very helpful; you could also check Console log entries (utility folder is Console's home) to see if there are any indications of other problems.
With a mouse (even windows mouse) you should be able to access the System preference panel and also the keyboard viewer to see what is happening with the keyboard and mouse. You can click on keys in the keyboard viewer to test a mouse click or touch pad click; and also choose to ignore touchpad input while using a mouse, and other things.
The touchpad may appear as a USB device, so System Profiler should show some evidence of that attached. If the touchpad has failed, depending on the exact build series MacBook, the repair options go from bad to worse. A few require the top part with keyboard replaced, as one piece, if yours happens to have that build. There are sources of tested good yet used parts, for less than any old-stock or replacement new parts, if it comes to that.
An iFixit guide for that MacBook model identifier number may be helpful. Be sure to use the correct one for reference; they have an identify page at iFixit, there's also one at Apple where you'd put in a serial or model number (or sales model, or EMC, etc) and more info appears. The 'About this Mac' in the computer can help find what your computer is, by build, serial number, and that info helps online to learn more, or get parts.

Hopefully you can get access to a USB mouse to help troubleshoot, check or change settings, to do an SMC reset, or see if the NVRAM & PRAM reset may startle the MacBook into playing nice again.

There is not enough information about the problem. For troubleshooting, I recommend you can use Process Monitor to detect whether there's any process failed.
You can download Process Monitor and see how to use it for troubleshooting in below links:

There are a lot of log entries in Process Monitor, you may filter Visual Studio process only(proces = devenv.exe). And you can upload the logs to OneDrive so that we can investigate them.

When I open firefox 4 beta the webpage does not load and i am unable to click on any buttons or access menus

This has only started happening today. When I start firefox 4 beta it opens and begins to load my homepage (google.co.uk) but the page never fully loads and firefox freezes. I am unable to click on any buttons on the navigation bar or access menus. Keyboard shortcuts are also unresponsive.
All that I am able to do on the browser is to use the three window buttons in the top right of the screen (minimise, maximise and close).
After closing the window if I try to open it again I get a message saying that Firefox is already running, but not responding. Once going into task manager and stopping firefox under the processes tab and then restarting firefox the window again freezes as soon as it opens.
I have tried restarting my computer and reinstalling the beta but with no success. I am still able to use firefox 3.6.13 as well as chrome with no problems.
Any help would be much appreciated

I had this too. Starting firefox in safe-mode and disabling all add-ons solved the problem. After re-enabling all add-ons did not bring back the problem.

Mac Pro Clicks Off When Waking from Sleep

This is a recurring problem, that is all the more annoying for its lack of consistency. Occasionally when my Mac is sleeping it'll just "click" (it actually makes a clicking sound) and shut off immediately when I try to wake it. Pressing the power button does nothing.
After a lot of trial and error I've found that the best solution is to unplug the power cord and wait for maybe 15+ seconds. Then I plug it back in, press the power button and she starts up like nothing happened--as if we don't both know what happened.
I'm on a good streak now, and it hasn't happened for a while, but given my experiences with it, I can't really relax.
Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

Yep, power draw. How about this for a knee slapper:
I had my MacPro plugged in to the same socket as a moderatly
stuffed PeeCee and every time I woke up the MacPro the PeeCee
would click off. The PeeCee PSU wasn't getting enough juice
and just turned off.
Now I have a poor electrical system in the current house that
I'm in. I think the Main breaker is 15 amps and the two that
split off are 10 each. So I can't toast toast and nuke some
cold coffee at the same time that the 3 PCs and the 22" CRT
are on in a lit room without the main breaker tripping. But
without the toaster and nukrowave running the MacPro when
waking up harshly dims all the lights in the house for about
0.5 seconds.
If your Mac is asking for more than it's getting there might
be some smart circutry in the PSU (like there is in most nice
PeeCee PSUs) that turn it off before it causes any trouble.
Make sure it's that only thing plugged into the socket that
you're using for it and see if that doesn't solve it.

Drag and drop feature on the project panel doesnt work. Cant adjust scale or any numer properties by sliding mouse. (click drag wont work at all nowhere)

This issue just happened out of the blue. The last thing I did was create a new comp and import an Illustrator file. Working on CC2014. Its like the mouse's left click wont be working at all... but that's not the case. Cant even drag the comps in the composition, or move the layers around....
Now the issue affects everything I do in After Effects, even on a new comp with just a plain solid
Deleted cache,
reseted workspaces,
open/close after effects
restarted computer
newcomp with just a solid and nothing.
plugged unplugged wireless mouse
changed to wired mouse
the issue is still there
Curiously, after writing this post , publishing, and going back to after effects, the mouse will work, but for a couple of clicks or so then wont work again. This only happens on After Effects

Its an Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4 with an i7 k2600 clocked to 4.2ghz w 16gbRam at 1333mhz
Dual GPU , gtx 760 and gtx 780ti
Running Windows 7 ultimate.
The keyboard is a Genius G110 plus a wireless mouse Genius also.
Adobe guys tried resetting cache (different than deleting) and user preferences, creating new user, disabling both video cards . The issue was still there.
BTW!, After I switched windows in Win7 environment ( from after effects to the browser) the mouse drag worked again. I could move objects in comp window, scale; move sliders on time line and drag projects to folders in project window... everything fine until i pressed ANY key, say, shift key or ctrl key.
Probably we will never have the answer for this, since i had to format the C drive (i have work to do). Currently i'm installing CC again. So if problem persists, I'll ditch the computer through the window.

Logout from your iTunes store account on that device and then log back in to see if that helps
