Mouse won't stop scrolling player

Problem: Mouse won't stop scrolling player
Adobe Flash Player 9 (9.0.115.0)
I double click a SWF file.
It comes up in Adobe Flash Player 9.
I switch to another program.
I switch back to the Flash Player.
Just moving the mouse (without holding down the mouse) moves
the player scroll.
I cannot turn mouse scrolling off so scrolling stops.
Esc does not solve problem.
I appreciate your feedback.

tech78g:
I get what you're saying, but in the system preferences there are clearly options for
"Scroll direction: natural — Content tracks finger movement"
and for
"Swipe between pages — Scroll left or right with one finger"
both indicating that if unchecked, there should be no scrolling or swiping with any finger movement. Yet mine continues doing both, with both unchecked.
It's not just annoying. It's interfering with my work.

    My iPhone 5 won't stop scrolling through songs and I can't stop it please help !! :(

    settings - general - usuage - music - delete.   Then do a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
    Then sync the music back via iTunes.

  • My mouse wheel has stopped scrolling up

    I've had the Mac Might Mouse for about 5 months now when all of a sudden the scroll up function on the ball has stopped working.  I could feel something mechanically happen when this stopped functioning.  Please let me know if there is a way I can fix it.  The mouse wheel will still scroll left, right and down.  Thank you.

    The MagicMouse is covered by the same on-year warranty as all Apple products - if it has stopped working properly take it to an Apple store genius bar where they can either find out what is wrong or replace it.

  • Scrollable Text Won't Stop Scrolling!

    Hey everyone,
    I've created a button so that when you roll over it, text is loaded and scrolls up the page. However, it doesn't stop scrolling when the text runs out - it keeps going so all of the text goes off the screen!
    Here's the code on my button:
    // Arrow Button
    on (rollOver) {
         _root.hover = 1;
    on (rollOut) {
         _root.hover = 0;
    and on my text (dynamic/multi-line):
    onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
         if (_root.hover == 1) {
              with ("") {
                   _y -= 5;
    If anyone can help me out that'd be great. I'd like it to stop scrolling once it runs out of text.
    Thanks!

    Thank you very much for the example - I've written the code down in my book and have saved this. It works perfectly! I'm really thrilled. Your method seems 100 times easier than the tutorial I had been following. One thing I'm curious about is the code to actually make it move. I understand that the
    about_mc._y -= 5;
    is what's making it move, but is it the -= that's telling it to move upwards at a speed of 5?
    (How I wish I could still use Director!! Unfortunately here it's not industry standard and no one accepts these files)
    So everything is working great now except the text problem is still there. I had created a dynamic text box, changed the font/size/etc and then converted it to a movie clip. Should I have converted it to a graphic first and then a movie clip? I'm not sure why the font would appear fine in Flash, but then when I publish it turns to the default. (testing on the same machine)
    Thank you again for your help - I appreciate it greatly!
    PS: I tried converting to a graphic first, then movie clip, and same issue...

  • Track pad won't stop scrolling

    I have a BlackBerry Curve 9300 about 2 years old. Running OS6. This weekend I started having problems with the track pad. After cleaning it, several battery pulls and trying some other "fixes", my track pahd will not stop scrolling on it's own. Any thougts on what I can try?? Had to revert to my 8310 to get by......

    Hey (kbeaudry74,
    Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
    I would suggest going through all the steps in this KB article and if the scrolling still doesn't stop it might be hardware related and I suggest contacting your network service provider for repair options.

  • IPod Nano 7th generation won't stop scrolling through albums

    After the latest update, turned on iPod, selected shuffle, now it won't play anything the window just shows the songs scrolling one right after the other. Will not stop even when you restart it or reset al settings. Upon hooking it back up to iTunes you cannot do anything becasue it sas it is in use. My plan so far is to just let it keep running until the battery runs out then see what happens.

  • Firefox won't stop scrolling with trackpad MacOS 10.6.4

    I am noticing that if I scroll with two fingers or accidentally touch the trackpad with another digit, then remove it, firefox often doesn't recognize when I have gone back to mousing with one finger on the track pad. Or if I click on the scroll bar, it suddenly transitions into scrolling with the trackpad, and when I try to mouse to another area of the screen it insists on continually scrolling. It has done this at least once per session since i last updated. I think I had to click somewhere to break the thing's 'trance' :-) and then it would go back to normal function for a while.

  • My mouse won't stop dragging items

    For some reason, since yesterday, my cursor keeps dragging things--for instance, a firefox tab, a hyper link, etc--even though I am not doing it. If I have just the desktop up, and please excuse me as I am unfamiliar with computer terms--but just moving the mouse will make rectangles on the screen if that makes any sense. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    This happened to me today actually. I took out the battery of the computer (This makes the bottom of the pad accessible). I then took a keyboard cleaner spray duster and sprayed everywhere. I put the battery back on. It works perfectly. Generally when this happens something is wedged in there - either sand, dirt, or some other kind of particle. If this does not work, then it is likely that either the battery or some other piece of hardware has swelled from heat. If that is the case, take it into the Apple store as you may need to replace the battery. Hope this helps.

  • My mouse has suddenly stopped scrolling

    any ideas >??? normal left and right click work fine

    Perhaps it needs cleaning. Try using a baby wipe and rotate the ball as you clean it to make sure you get all of it. You can also use a cloth slightly dampened with alcohol.
    Let us know how you make out,
    Miriam

  • Mighty Mouse Stops Scrolling

    I have a Mighty Mouse which suddenly stops scrolling up (and sometimes down). It works great some of the time.
    Anyone else have this problem? Nothing similar popped up when I searched.

    Have a look under 'More like this' to the right on this page!

  • Mighty Mouse Won't Scroll Down - Solution

    My iMac's mighty mouse wouldn't scroll down even after furious cleaning with a damp cloth and all that this discussion site advised.
    I took the mouse into the new Cabot Circus Apple Store here in Bristol, UK. Five minutes later I was out again with a fully restored mighty mouse scroll ball.
    The 'genius' used a isopropyl alcohol Prep Pad, as used by your doctor to sterile your arm before using a hypodermic needle. You can probably buy these down your local Chemists/Pharmacy. He gave me a strip of these sachets marked "Medium - Alcohol Prep Pad" manufactured by Dynarex Corporation. They seem to be selling for about £1.25 for 200. Cheap as chips even in this day and age.
    http://www.quickmedical.com/dynarex/disposable-wipes/alcohol-wipes.html
    He then advised me to clean my mouse this way once a week to keep it in tip-top condition.
    I'm sure I read somewhere that one wasn't supposed to use anything other than a damp cloth on these devices. Oh well, there you go.
    Hope this helps anyone else who have found their mouse tracker ball has stopped working.

    I just move the scroll ball on my mouse on piece of paper rapidly in all directions,
    and it works (and its free). I do this when my mouse won't scroll down.
    I think you have missed the point.
    Try asking yourself, what would you do if rubbing your mouse on paper was no longer enough? That's the situation I was in.

  • My mouse won't scroll up

    Please help me figure why my mouse won't scroll up on my iMac. I'm afraid my 2 year old knows more about the computer than I do & seems to have disabled the scroll up function.

    The same thing happened to me with my 2 week old Imac. Heres what I did and this worked for me:
    -turn the mouse updside down
    -notice where it is lit up
    within that small oval area where the light is, there is a small plastic piece that sits vertical
    -GENTLY push on that small plastic piece one way or the other, likely it will move a tiny bit, then STOP.
    The scroll should now work both ways.
    Its possible during normal use of the mouse, perhaps pressing the mouse down too hard when you scroll or slide the mouse around on its pad, that little piece gets moved just slightly and then it doesnt scroll correctly.
    When you use the mouse, do not press down on it when you slide it around and hold it still when you click.
