MouseEvent programming urgently needed

Question

I created a JFrame, which includes graphics imported from a graphic panel class.I would like to apply mouse events to monitor the graphics,say, delete a graphic symbol in the Frame.I wonder any of you can give me a guidance about mouse event.
Shall I code in the Frame, graphic Panel or I need to create a new class, but how to connect two classes? Your sincere help would be highly appreciated.
