Move download complete notification to bottom of screen

When a download is complete the notification appears at the top right of the screen. The problem with this is that it is a large notice and covers up the download button so I have to wait for the message to disappear, or click the close button, before I can click the dowload button to access my file. So this wastes time or gives me an extra click to get to my file. It's infuriating.
I have tried to move the alert when it is there but you can't drag it. I have searched the preferences for an option to turn it off, but can't find one. I am using a mac, and yet on a friends pc computer I've noticed the alert appears at the bottom of the screen. So how can I get mine to do this? I have put up with it for months now hoping it will change with an update, but now on version 25 and nothing has changed, the big alert is still there in the way and it's driving me mad.
Please does anyone have a solution for this?

Download Complete Notification doesn't use monitor on which Firefox is located itself

When Firefox itself is located on 2nd monitor, Download Complete Notification appears on 1st.
Meanwhile in FF 3.5.x that was fine and Notification was appearing on the proper monitor.

I dont know whether these are configured or default values. Our mail server is on different machine and i can ping it from my EP machine. I should use that server to send mails but I dont find that server's name or IP address anywhere in the above configuration.
So now i am totally confused ????

Move firefox notifications to bottom of screen

Currently Firefox notifications (such as downloads complete, or HTML5 notifications) appear in the top right corner of the screen. Is there a way to move the notifications to the bottom right corner of the screen?

The position of those notifications seem to be hard coded, so you can't change them.

HT1657 Why doesn't my rental movie download completely? iPad

I am trying to download a rental movie so I can watch later, hopefully during my flight. Movie almost completes downloading then stops and starts over.

Suddenly i do not get the "download complete" popup at the bottom of my screen when i download anything..also,download "box" at top left changed..why?

up until yesterday,every time i would download anything,i would get a "popup" at the bottom right side of my screen saying "download complete"...now i don't see that..also,when i click on my downloads option in my "tools" at the top right,the box that appears has changed in how it looks..it still shows my downloads,but the appearance of the box has changed..neither of these issues is any "biggie"..lol..nothing to fret over..but i would just like to know why this has happened suddenly if i made no changes to my firefox..anyone????

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

You can check the browser.download.* pref(s) on the about:config page and reset user set (bold) prefs via the right-click context menu to the default value.

Playing Movies goes to a white screen until movie is completely downloaded

Until recently I was always able to view a rented movie within a minute of beginning the movie rental download. When I hit play the TV screen goes completely white. My only work around is to wait until the movie is completely downloaded. I do not understand this because I can immediately go to a movie trailer and view.
Any ideas on what this might be?

Ordinarily I'd say this is an authorisation problem, but as you are able to play the file once it has fully downloaded it seems it might be a little more than this. Have you tried restarting the tv.

How can I open a pdf document after downloading is complete and there is no screen reference to file name?

I'm having a problem trying to locate a downloaded PDF file. I'm using Windows 7, and have Adobe Reader XI installed. From a given site some downloads will appear with a listing of individual pages within the document, or there will be a window appearing that has a series of icons to print or scroll, etc. At other times, from the same source & type of document, I will get a representatrion of doanload progress, then a "DONE" when completed. There is no notification anywhere on my screen as to file name or where to look for this download. I even go into "Documents", downloads, recent places, etc. to try and find a listing, to no avail. I also open Adobe Reader to see if there is any clue, again, to no avail. Incidentally, when Adobe Reader opens, there isn't any provision for scrolling, yet there appears to be additional information below the bottom edge of my screen. I sure would appreciate some help on this problem.

On my Windows 7, with any browser, all downloaded files go into the Downloads folder.
If you can't find your downloaded PDF docs, try a search for *.pdf

Did you tap the Videos app icon?
Swipe left of your Home screen then type in the name of the movie.

You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.
