I just recently bought an ipad for my mom and she had to change her email provider. to get high-speed. How can she save all of her email and contats from her windows pc (and the old provider) to her ipad?

Go to System Preferences>Mail, Contacts, Calendars and enter the ntlworld account, SMTP for sending and IMAP for receiving (use 'other' as the account type), this will activate the account on the Mac and (depending on how set up on the PC) either sync all of the mail, or only the new mail. Post back and tell me which.

i also have entered two email addresses manually, when i attempt to send using those addresses, they are moved to the out box, and a message "...server will not allow transfers.....

If you want to remove your Apple ID from the iPad you can just sign out in Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. That will not delete the apps from the iPad. He will not be able to update the apps without your username and password and he will have to sign in again in order to that.
If he is going to use his own Apple ID and he begins to switch and back and forth from one ID to the other - and if he downloads anything again using your ID, he will lock himself out of his own ID for 90 days.
If you are asking how to remove your email account from the iPad go to Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>your email account>Delete account. That will not cause you to lose any apps either.
You should probably explain exactly what you want to do in order to clarify.

one more thing u can also rename ur database by using nid utility ,So u have no need to recreate the controlfile for changing the name of ur database.just restore all files from primary to new server ,create new service by oradim ,start the instance and then use NID utility.

Emails imported from windows, must delete going back several years, but I think I have deleted them only to find that they pop up again. How do I delete totally the unwanted emails.

New imac, emails imported from Windows. Emails to delete goiing back to 2008 but no matter what I do to delete them, they are still there. How do I get rid of the ones that are no longer wanted.

Assuming you are using Mail, delete them in mail and then empty the Mail's trash. Also check Mail - Preference - Accounts - Mailbox Behaviors - Trash setting

Can't receive emails sent from Windows Mobile

After much troubleshooting, I've found that I can't receive emails sent from Windows Mobile users. I never noticed the issue until recently, but I can't pinpoint when the problem began: Leopard 10.5.2, Mail 3.2... not sure.
When a Windows Mobile user sends me an email, it just doesn't show up in my inbox. It does show up in a web client, my iPhone, and in Thunderbird, so I know the mail is being delivered to my mailbox on the server. However, there is no corresponding message located in ~/Library/Mail, so it looks like the message isn't being downloaded from the server. I have emails before and after the stubborn email message, so it hasn't interfered with anything else that I can tell.
Anyone else been able to pinpoint this issue and figure out a fix or workaround? Anyone have any ideas?

I am experiencing precisely the same issues. Messages from Windows Mobiles v.6 (more than just a single handset) are not being displayed in Mac Mail 3.2
I have tried rebuilding mailboxes and changing the IMAP port connecting with Exchange server. The mail is there as I can see it in Outlook, OWA, and OMA
Similar situation to you in that I have no idea when this started to happen, but it can only be in the last 3-4 weeks max.
Please, if anybody has a fix or workaround, or knows what changes have been made to Mac Mail in the last few weeks.

I need to read an email content from a program, to attach it to an CRM activity. Does anybody know if there is a function for this? I will have the email data (Object id, folder, type, etc) available.

My Requirement is :
1)I got a requirement to read Bounce back mails in the CRM System .My present scenario is that once a campaign is executed , the mails which get bounce back are returned to outlook location.
2)The required scenario demands that, to read email IDs which get Bounce back and need to be compared with Email Ids in the Target group , which is assigned to the campaign and update the 'COunter' field which is assigned to the E-mails in the Master Data.
3)Is there any machanism to read the BOunce-Back mails in CRM System itself (or) It should be read from outlook location where the mails are returned presently, so that COUNTER which is tied up with the E-mails in Master Data can automatically updated.
4) Is there any possibility to read the Mails in the Outlook location with Mail IDs in the CRM system.
I have gone through Mr Thomas article and i think it works for my requirement but i dont know how to proceed further to read bounce back mails when a campaign is executed in CRM System.
Can any one guide me how to solve this problem .

How to stream content from Mac or Ipad to ATV Gen 1

I have an unlocked ATV Gen 1 ( just bought 2nd hand ) and I want to stream content from either my MacBookAir or my ( Jailbroken ) Ipad 2 to the ATV which is connected to my nice big TV.
I can view all the integral stuff in ATV and also view/listen to movies/music in Itunes.
I really want to view BBC TV which is streaming on my MBA or Ipad onto the ATV.
How can I achieve this?
I've dabbled with Airshare ( a Cydia app ) on the Ipad but that doesn't seem to work.
Of course, I can run a HDMI cable directly from the MBA/Ipad to the ordinary TV and throw away the ATV but I want to do it wirelessly.
Surely this is achievable with ATV?

Mr Churchill, I assume that you are talking about "live broadcasts" when you assert that I can't stream 'anything'?
Of course, I can 'stream' videos/music/podcasts/photos which are in my Itunes library of any of my devices to the ATV .
I'm pretty sure that I have read postings where content displayed on an IOS device can be mirrored in Audio/VDO to the ATV.
If this only realates to content contained within ITunes then confirmation will be regarded as the correct answer ( if not the one I wanted ).

Did you click on the Firewire word? What do see to the right of it?
If you see something like the picture and nothing below the "Maximum speed" line, then the camera is not being "seen" by your mac. Otherwise a description of the camera should appear in the right pane.

Transfer content from first generation IPad to IPad Air

After your updated your new iPad Mini to iOS 8.3 you have to put it back into setup mode to do the the restore from the iOS 8.3 iPad 3 backup.
To do this choose Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings on the Mini.

We bought our Macbook pro about six months ago. We made the mistake of creating two users for it (my husband and myslef) but bow we only log in under my user name. The problem is we originally imported all of our video camera content to his "log in" and now it is in his imovie folder, and not mine. I want to make a movie on my log in with the fottage that we imported to his. So, how do I get video content from one users login on the SAME computer to the other log in users? I cannot seem to move it for the life of me. I did not expect this to be so difficult.

You need to log into his account and look, under the Movies folder, for iMovie Events. Inside, you'll find folders with the events names and still further will be the movie itself. Copy each to an external media or use the Shared folder so both accounts can reference them.
Another option would be to attach an external HD and via iMovie (Events Library pane) move them to the new disk. You would preserve the thumbnails and analysis already performed on the videos.

How do I move iTunes content from my hard drive back to the cloud?

I travel a lot for work and have been using my MBP to watch movies on the plane. Obviously, this requires me to download them to my hard drive. With a smaller SSD, though, I'm finding the need to free up some space. Does anyone know how to remove a movie (or any iTunes content) from my hard drive while making it still available through iCloud streaming?

If these are iTunes purchase, you don’t move them to the cloud. They are already there.
Just delete them in iTunes.
They will still appear in iTunes with a cloud icon.
Note if you delete a movie, you will not be able to stream it while on the plane...
