Move Email From Comcast Server to Outlook Pro Plus 2010

This is the most scrambled convoluted mess.  Okay, have 99% of my Comcast mail account full.  Have emails clear back to 2008.  I kept email on the Comcast server b/c did not want to clutter up, use computer memory with email. Now I have to take these emails off of Comcast and put them into my Outlook.   I set up a space on a new hard drive and made that location the default for my comcast email address.  When I do send/receive in outlook only some of my email comes off of the Comcast account.  It only took 2015 to date and most of 2014 emails.   I just do not get how I am supposed to get the emails off of the Comcast server.  For example is there a way just to download it period to any program or to save it to a hard drive?   Sorry to be a pain but I have asked Comcast support - no help, and I have tried searching online in the forum.  Just not finding - how to get the darn emails off of the Comcast server - at this point any way I can!!!  And I do want to save them, b/c I get it, I could just delete them, but I do not want to do that.  Thank you

The red lights on incoming indicates an issue with your settings. Verify port required by your server and if you require SSL. Make the necessary changes under Advanced tab for your account.
When you import your pst files into Outlook for Mac explain exactly what you do to import. Imported data is under a folder in your folder list. See this article:

  • Anyone having trouble conisistenly downloading email from comcast server with IOS 5?

My Iphone 4 with IOS 5 just started having issues downloading email from comcast server consistently. It is working, but there is SOMETIMES a delay in download and then it works perfectly other times.  Sometimes it tries to download the same 200 emails over and over. Anyone have any ideas? I have already deleted and re-added my email account, reset phone and still not working properly.  Apple genius bar thinks it is a comcast issue IOS 5.

    Hello David,
Please follow the steps provided here to properly configure your iPhone.  This is a quide from another user.  I you follow this exactly, the Comcast e-mail account will verify properly, and you will be able to send and receive all of your e-mail without having to create a Gmail account, as previously discussed.  You can ignore their comment.
    Thank you.
    Best Regards,

  • I need to move email from windows notebook, outlook to mac mail on my new macbook pro

i need to move email from windows notebook-outlook to mac
    mail? need help?

Hi Linc, I started setting up my new computer a few months ago so don't remember the details.  I did not use migration assistant, nor do I wish to, I believe it was set up through icloud.   Now that I needed my calendar while doing taxes I discover there are no events for 2014 and earlier (except 2 oddly enough).  I do remember that iCloud instructions were not clear as to what would happen in the choices it gave.
I copied my old user files over from my external back up after my old computer stopped working, was hoping I could put ical folders in the right place to be used by Calendar or import somehow.

  • Move emails from apple mail to windows outlook

    Hello Everyone,
I have recently bought a windows laptop as majority companions in my office have windows only. I also have mac book pro having apple mail as my e-mail client. I work in a small company in which e-mail is the life blood of our company. So now what I need to do is move all my emails from apple mail to outlook that is present in windows laptop. I haven't found any answers or discussions regarding this topic on this forum site. Can any one please help me get over with this problem or atleast guide me or direct me to the forum where solution for this query is posted.
Your help will be really appreciated. Thank you.

If both system are using the IMAP mail provider all you have to do is setup the connection to the mail server and all the emails and folders will be copied down to the windows computer. That is what IMAP is for. The mail stays on the server, and can be store on the local computer also, and when you connect to the server with another device, computer, phone or pad, all the mail with folders gets copied to the other device.
But I think some of your mail was gotten using POP so it is not longer on the server.
Or you have emails in local folder only and they would be on the server. But you can create folder on the server in one mail program, or on the mail web interface and then copy those emails into those folder on the server byt copying them in one of the email programs. Then when you logon with the other device all of them will be downloaded to the other device.

Sorry but this didn't work. I have around 4000 mails in some what 45 folders. Using IMAP i can transfer only one file at a time, that will take me days to transfer that amount of files.
Are there any other options available...???

  • Move email from Inbox to Local Folder using Message Filter moves header only, not contents.

I created a Message Filter to move email from Inbox to a Local Folder based on Date. The email headers were moved, but not the contents. Since I'm using IMAP, all the emails were deleted from the server.
I searched for similar problems and I followed one suggestion to "repair" one of the target Local Folders, but that made things worse. Now the header information (Subject, From, Date (now set to the date the transfer was done, not the email received date) is all blank.
The Local Folder properties indicate the email is contained in
    mailbox:///C:/Users/Ted/AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/c65xcqqf.default/Mail/Local Folders/Archives.sbd/2010
I can see the messages from other Local Folders here, but the ones "moved" are empty.
    Should this location be changed?
Is there some way to recover the email contents?

  • BlackBerry Curve is only downloading POP email from Comcast if it is sent from the BB itself.

So far I have been able to receive POP email from Comcast under one condition: if I send it from my BB itself.
I've tried sending from countless other accounts.  I've missed emails coming in from other places.  I don't leave Outlook or any other client open and all the messages are still on the Comcast server.
I've seen many questions like this in various forums but most of the threads trail off without resolutions.
    Any ideas?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    RESOLVED
Almost ten calls to Verizon tech support, several hours on the phone, hours Googling and posting in forums and finally, five minutes after the Verizon rep asked me to hold while he contact BlackBerry support, the problem is solved.
I hope this helps someone else out:
Options -> Security -> Firewall -> Uncheck 'BlackBerry Internet Service'
Last night I thought I had fixed the problem as I was able to receive email from all addresses I sent from. A new problem appeared though: the phone would not ring or vibrate when the email was received, regardless of profile settings. I'm not sure what combination of events got me to this point.
I resent service books, pulled the battery, and the phone returned to the problematic behavior I was seeing in the first place:
    * Could only receive emails that were sent from email accounts that had already been added to the phone.
    * Data transmissions indicators (arrows in the top-right) flashed when received email from other accounts but email did not arrive.
At first I thought the problem was Yahoo/Google/Comcast until I tried sending email to my BlackBerry using a Comcast account which had not been added.
This certainly was frustrating but I'm glad to have the problem resolved.

  • No longer receive emails from iCloud server

Since I transferred to iCloud from MobileMe, it seems that I no longer receive any emails from the server in my Outlook mailbox. I tried to add an new email account to Outlook but it kept saying "An encrypted connection to your mail server is not available". So I tried to search an unencrypted connection by clicking NEXT. The system then asked me to verify my me.com account details. I've tried many many times but no joy. Can anyone tell me how to fix it? Many thanks, C

As mentioned, there is a critical MS patch that came out yesterday that they SHOULD install, but this has nothing to do with your iPhone.
Does the phone get email when you manually launch the mail app, and it's only the notifications that are not happening, or can you not get mail at all?
If it's only missing notifications you should first reboot the phone (hold HOME and SLEEP for about 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to Power Off" message and keep holding).
If this doesn't fix notifications ask your IT guys what the KeepAlive timer is set to; it should be 59 minutes. This is NOT the default.
Finally, it could be an AT&T network problem. Try turning off WiFi and see if you can access the Internet over AT&T.
If you are not getting emails even when you launch the mail app you have a different problem. Then check if you can get mail via Safari and OWA.

On my iPad Mini, when I delete an email from the inbox (and it goes into Trash), it immediately deletes that email from the server (ATT/Yahoo).  I've called support for both ATT and Apple and can't find a way to have the emails remain on the server.
My husband and I share an email address and if he misses a day checking email on his notebook, he doesn't receive the items that I have sent to Trash on my iPad Mini.
    Appreciate suggestions.
[The curious thing is, if I "move" the deleted emails from Trash on my iPad Mini into the Inbox, I can go to my notebook, open my online email and they are back in my ATT/Yahoo Inbox.]

Is your Yahoo account set up as POP3 or IMAP?

  • Mail Mac has deleted all my emails from the server..how to get them back?

Mistakenly, I've changed the options in Mail app in Mac, which says "Remove copy from server after retrieving a massage" Immediately, and it deleted all my emails from the server. Is there anyway to return all my 3000 emails back to the server? cuz I want to access them from anywhere :S it's a hotmail account.

You can create a new IMAP account in Apple Mail, and move all the messages to the IMAP folders. They are synced with the server.
I don't know if hotmail supports imap though, I would prefer Gmail.

  • Every time I move emails from the inbox to another mailbox, then click on any mailbox, and then go back to the inbox, the moved messages have returned to the inbox

Every time I move emails from the inbox to another mailbox, then click on any mailbox (the emails are there fine), and then go back to the inbox, the moved messages have returned to the inbox. I have moved them out of the inbox to other mailboxes again and again, but then they keep showing up in the inbox again as soon as I click on any mailbox other than the inbox. Very frustrating.
This has only happened since I installed Mavericks on both my Macbook Pro and my iMac. It happens on both of them.
Any ideas how to fix it?
    peter

This may be one of the known issues with Gmail and it's IMAP settings working with Maverick's Mail.
It all comes down to if you have the ALL MAIL folder visible or not via IMAP.
If you do not, then you get the behavior you are describing.
If you do have ALL MAIL visible, then there isn't a problem.
    Odd, I know.
Anyway, check out this article on Wired which describes the problem and work around. You may have to click on the NEXT button at the top of the window to advance to the proper gallery image that describes this issue:

  • HT6030 Mac Mail 7.1 has stopped importing my POP emails from the Server

I have suddenly realised (over the past 2 weeks) that Mail has stopped importing my POP emails from the Server, at first I thought it was just that no-one was sendfing me any, however, I created an Account with Thunderbird and suddenly received dozens of them. I've tried many of the "googled" fixes but none seem to work for me....
Can anyone help me to get my Apple Mail performing correctly please.

    Do a backup.
Take notes of all account information or take screen shots. You may need to set the accounts up again. Quit Mail.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Containers/com.apple.mail. Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.
Re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. You can then put the folder in the Trash. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.
Information learned from Linc Davis. leonie also supplied some information.

    Hi Rakesh,
You have to request you Network team to add the ip address of the machine where you have installed content server to your Exchange Server.
Let me know if it works.

  • Can't move emails from one account to another in native Mail app IOS 7.0.3

I can select an email and click on move, and MAIL looks like working (the animation seems to move the email to a different account folder) but indeed is not moving the email! This was working with the previous release of IOS
Mail works if I try to move email to a folder belonging to the same account.
I need to move email from my university account to my gmail to store it! And I can't create an alias in gmail because of my university (stupid) security policies.
Thank a lot for your help.

    Hi Kobe Zhang
    Option 1:
Your MSN account might be deleted but the eprintcenter wont be deleted along with it.
You should be still able to login to eprintcenter account using the old msn id and the same old password for eprintcenter account which you used regularly.
If you have forgot the password, i dont know how can you recover it.
If you get a chance to login then you can remove the printer from the old account and then claim it in your new account created usign hotmail ID.
If you are not worried about changing your printers email ID, here is option 2.
One more option is to de register the printer and register it again to cloud to get a new email address which can be used to claim the printer in your new account and then customize your email ID there. But be aware that you might not be able to set the same customised email ID which you have used in your old account.
    Kind Regards,
    Olilloyd

  • Authentication Error while Sending Email from SMTP server.

Authentication Error while Sending Email from SMTP server.  Can receive emails but cannot send emails from this account.

no email account was setup on the phone unless it was issued by your company.
gmail is required but no server address ports to enter.
my gmail account was setup before i took delivery of the phone but could have been done when phone was activated.
i added cox pop3 email and had to manually enter both pop3 and smtp servers with both boxes checked on both servers.
    i doubt if it's a verizon issue.
