How to move the figure and caption from one page to another based on the in text citation

(1) Find the Text through "Find & Replace" Method
(2) Move the Object [Grouped - Image with Caption] to near by the Text
(3) If the Citation Text is fall in before half of the page then, Place the Object in Bottom
(4) If the Citation Text is fall in after half of the page [It means bottom of the page], then Place the Object in to Next Page Top.

Figures with captions

I'm trying to create a paper where I have figures and captions under the figures and would like the body text to nicely fill in all of the space around the figures. My text body is double columned and the figures and captions span both columns. I simply insert the figures and captions in the body text, the figure is at one point and the caption immediately follows. The problem is that I have a lot of figures, and I end up getting a lot of empty sections, because the program decides a new page is necessary to fit the figure before the previous page fills up with text. I tried changing the anchor position of the anchored frame to "top of column", which helps with the space issue, but then the caption no longer connects to it. Any ideas how to get this to work? Seems like a common thing to want to do. Thanks in advance!

The easy way to keep a figure and caption together is to create a one-cell
table, with titles turned on. Put the figure in the table cell, and assign
the caption paragraph format to the title. They'll always stay together.

Issue with moving grouped objects in Captivate 8

Hi,
I use grouping of objects a lot and Imake extensive use of the arrow keys to move objects and / or groups around a slide. When moving groups in Captivate 8.1, however, and this never happened in CPT 6 or 7, Captivate does the action twice.
So when selecting the group of objects and pressing the arrow keys, it moves the groups 2 pixels at a time instead of just the one. Likewise, when pressing both Shoft and an arrow key, it moves the group 20 pixels.
To add to the fun, when you select both a group of objects and a single object on the slide, the arrow-move moves the group twice but the single object only once. Jolly good fun...
This is really annoying, so if anyone has a solution for this? Is this a bug or is it a setting I should be aware of? If it is not a bug but an actual new feature of Captivate, I would love to know the reasoning behind it, but for me, it rather defies any logic right now :-)
Obviously, I figured out the workaround of 5 times the arrow key to move a group 10 pixels, but it is now impossible to move the group 1 pixel using the arrow key.

It is a known bug, I have logged it already, please do the same. Earlier on this happened also for individual objects (prerelease), now this annoying behavior is only for groups.

Grouped objects move at different speeds - why?

I have a project with several objects grouped together - a checkerboard that I created with the replicator, a small square shape, and some text.
When I animate the movement of the group (either keyframed or with Throw) the objects all move at different speeds! The big checkerboard goes faster, and the little square and the text lag behind. Why would they not stick together if I'm moving the whole group?

Aha, there's the key! The problem was that I had grouped the replicator together with it's source object, which was causing it to "double transform" - the replicator was adding the movement of the source to it's own movement. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

When I select a single object in a layer and try to move it with the mouse, everything goes with...

I've been having this problem where I can't use the move tool with the mouse properly. I'll go and select a single item on a layer and then try to move it with the mouse (move tool). I've done this before and still do it all the time on Photoshop on my other machines. However, on my laptop it won't work. I grab the single object I want to move and the second I move it, it defaults to moving every single layer in my file. The only way to get around it is to use the arrows, but that's becoming laborious and frustrating.
Any ideas?

I know what you mean! This happened to me as well!
And one thing that I found useful is, if you want to directly select a layer without selecting from the layers pallete and without having autoselect enabled, just hold Ctrl and click on in directly in the image. This saved me a lot of time!

If you look at the other tread about transform Again and smart Object layers you will find I found there seems to be two flavors of Transform and some bazar behaviors when it come to smart object layers. http://forums.adobe.com/message/4611500#4611500
However for this problem here I think I can not show you how to do it.
First target the smart filters Mask. In fact so you can see what is happening Alt+Click on it so Photoshop displays the mask rather then the the composit image. Then use Ctrl+T free transform then just for a test hold down the Ctrl and the Alt keys and drag in a cornor to constrain and srink the Mask thee release the keys and press enter to commit the transform.
Next target the smart object layer then use the short cut Ctrl+Shift+T (Transform Again) on a PC the smart object layer will be transformed to match the filter mask transform.

Concatenate a string with the results of group-object

I wrote a script to get the 10 most recent entries in the Windows application log. It works fine, but I would prefer to format the output differently.The output looks like this:server1\

Place Image with caption in CS2...

Hi Scripters,
I want to place the Figure along with the figure caption. I have separate word file i.e. MS file. While placing this word file into InDesign or else after placing i have to perform this action(Figure placement with caption) through script.

it's a bit dificult to control anchored object -speacially in two colum text box- when placing image in one and half colum size, it wont move to first column.

I have Lync 2013 and 2010 , still i didn't finish my migration completely from 2010 to 2013 .this is coexistence environment that contains both Lync Server 2010 and Lync Server 2013 .
There was no error's in my lync 2013 front end and back end server's and every thing was fine, yesterday I installed windows updated AND CU for my lync 2013 front end and backend server's .
later on after restarting both the front end and the back end server's i start having hundred's of these error's related to "LS Call Park Service".
so any advice for these issue ? and what is the effect for these error .

Change center of grouped objects

Hi,
I am making a very simple animation and this might not be the best tool for it but I don't know another (and I'm using CS4).
For each frame of the animation I have an artboard and in each artboard I move whatever objects need to be moved in that frame relative to the previous one.
When I look at the movie, each frame is not properly aligned with the previous one and so my question.
Is it possible to group all objects in a given frame and then define a center for all the whole group so that I can change this center to be a static point in the animation and then use that center to position all grouped objects relative to the artboard?

Flowing Grouped objects

Hi All,
I am working on a product catalog in InDesign 6 and need some help flowing grouped objects (2 images and 1 text frame) through a 3 column 2 row layout. How do I set it up so when I add more products/grouped objects the current products flow to the next cell or even next page? I'm stuck! Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Transform group objects

Hello Illustrators.
I've came across a thought, how to transform a grouped object. like in Photoshop when we use the distort transformation, we can manipulate the corner points
for a particular occasion. Here in the example I have 3 rectangles one smaller than another, and I I have grouped them. Now I'm trying to figure out a way how to adjust
the shape into the grey one. I have used the free distort tool, but does no justice. because there is no preview so I cannot see how it adjusts. I'm only after the equivalent of the distorition
like in Photoshop.

The root problem--as I've been pointing out here ever since Illustrator acquired envelopes--is that Illustrator envelopes insist on being created with their curve handles auto-extended. FreeHand, by comparison, provides you a choice of whether a rectangular envelope has its handles initially extended or retracted. So such a thing in FreeHand is as no-brainer simple as applying a rectangular envelope and then dragging its four corners to where you want them (just as in Photoshop).
To do that in Illustrator, you have to tediously set up guides so as to try to replicate the proportional positions of the envelope's extended handles on each side, after moving the corner points.
Using Envelope>Make With Top Object only works sometimes, because that feature does not provide any means by which to instruct the program which corner of the artwork is supposed to map to which corner of the already-drawn envelope shape. Instead, it just makes its own "guess" according to the ever-tyrannical horizontal/vertical axes of the page.

Group Object to Text

I have selected an object and then clicked the grouping buttons to group text with the object but when I move the object the text doesn't move. If I do the opposite, group object to text it moves together.
The need to have it the first way is that I'm trying to move the object and text together on the screen using a keyframe.

Don't know where this is going wrong, but it shouldn't be an issue whether your grouping is one way or another. Have you tried duplicating the effect from one track then moving it to the other?

Error while creating MV replication group object

I think I know what may have happened.
As I can see you are trying to create support for an updateable materialized view.
You have to make sure the name of the schema that owns the materialized view is the same as the schema owner of the master table (at master site).
From the code you have shown, I bet the owner of table EMP is SCOTT.
From the other hand, you want to create materialized view EMP_MV under schema KARTHIK that refers to table SCOTT.EMP at master site.
According to the documentation, the schema name used in DBMS_REPCAT.CREATE_MVIEW_REPOBJECT must be same as the schema that owns the master table.

I tried to reproduce your example in my environment, and I got exactly the same error which actually confirms my assumption that the reason for the error is the fact that you tried to create the materialized view in a schema with different name than the one where master table exists.
I'll skip some of the steps that I used to create the replication environment.
I have two databases, DB1.world and DB2.world
On DB2.world I will generate replication support for table EMP which belongs to user SCOTT
