Move Home button

OK the new FF 4.x has some changes that DRAMATICALLY reduce usability. This post deals with one of those changes that may seem rather small but is not to many users. Please tell me how to move the home button back to the left side of the address bar where it logically belongs with the other navigation button (forward/back). Whoever thought it would be good to move that must have been smoking crack. This simple feature is one of the things that made FF superior to IE. I REALLY wish FF would quit trying to emulate IE constantly and stay on track of actually being a better browser. Please do not respond with the typical "give it a chance you will like it once you get sued to it", because I won't. It is 100% absurd and illogical to have the home button way over on the right side of my browser when all of the other navigation is on the left. Please tell me how to move it back to where it belongs.

Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"<br />
Drag the Home button from its current position at the right to the left end of the location bar.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Playing multiple movies without clicking home button

I want to create a piece of art containing multiple buttons. For example, an illustration of a field, where, if the user were to click on a bush, a rabbit's head would pop out briefly, then disappear behind the bush. If a lilly pad were clicked, a frog would pop his head out of water and again disappear. How can I allow the user to randomly click on the various buttons, triggering the associated movies to play, without necessitating that a "home" button be hit after each sequence?

I can get each button to play the corresponding movie. After the movie plays, however, I would like the movie to automaticaly revert to the home state.
In this way, the user could randomly click around on the image, triggering various movies when the appropriate buttons are hit. I have seen this done many times- I remember an an image of a hanunted house, for example. When the user clicked on a window, it would open and a ghost would look out. Without having to then click a home button, a further click on the door of the house would cause the door to open, and a mummy to lean out. I'm trying to avodi having to repeatedly hit a "home" button before additional button hits could trigger additional movie clips.
I should probably mention that I've had to insert a stop command at the end of each movie clip, otherwise all the animations play sequentially, rather than one at a time, when a button is clicked. How do I tell Flash to procede from this stop command, at the end of each movie, back to home, so that further buttons can be pushed?
Sorry if I've misunderstood your posting- I've been animating for several years on Flash, but have only started several days ago to use Actionscript 3 for interactivity, and am a complete novice, in that regard.

  • How do I move the Home button between Back Forward and address bar?

The way I have my firefox set up for years is to put the buttons like this:
    [Back][Forward][Stop/Reload][Home][Progress Animation][Address Bar]
Now in FF29 I'm trying to move the Home button between the BackForward buttons and the address bar and it won't let me.
I thought FF29 was supposed to be the most customizable Firefox yet? *confused*
Is there a way to do this, am I missing something? Thanks

''' "I thought FF29 was supposed to be the most customizable Firefox yet?" ''' <br />
Whoever told you that was incorrect, as far as I am concerned. Firefox still is more customizable that the "competition", but not as much as previous versions were.
The Home button can be moved, but the Back / Forward combo button is attached to the Address Bar - they can't be separated.
The combo Stop / Reload button is locked in the Address Bar.<br />
The old "Activity Indicator" is gone. Deemed unnecessary with the loading animation on the left corner of each tab, where the Favicon appears once the page is fully loaded.

Many users are installing the Classic Theme Restorer extension. <br />
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ <br />But I don't think that is going to turn out to be along term solution. As users start installing other extensions I think they are going to run into compatibility issues where the new extension "expects" the user to be using what Firefox came with - not the "retro" features.

  • How can I move the Home button to the left of the address bar?

  • Home button moves on my ipod touch 1st gen

i'm from Romania and i got an iPod touch 1st generation 8gb. i read that if the ipod doesn't compair to factory standard(in which case my home button moves a round) i can take it to get it fixed. i really would like to have it fiex, the warranty status says that its in warranty until 20th october. i did take it to a premium reseller in my town and they told me to try to get a hold of the receipt. i don't have a receipt and was wonderin if therese any chance that apple could email me a copy or something like that, is there any way of doing that, could somebody help me out? thank you

Greetings! I am not certain those who read these are going to know what you really mean by "home button moving around" since the home button is physically set into the iPod...it really cant "move around"... so...could you amplify a little more?

  • When i press the power button and the "home" button it lights up the screen. however.... the screen is magnatized like 3% percent. and i cant open it or anything becasue it wont let me move the screen!!! what to do??

Yup! I've been there! You just have to double-tap the screen with three fingers and the zoom should go back. You have to turn off the feature in Settings>Accessibility>Zoom>and turn the switch off so this won't happen again when you double-triple tap.

  • I would like to move the FF4 Home button from the Right to the left side of the address field. Is this possible?

I would like this because when I open a new tab, it opens to a blank page. Most often I want a tab to provide a new search process, and having to reach to the far right of the screen when the new tab is enabled on the left of the screen seems disjointed.

Right click a blank part of the Tab Bar and then click ''Customize''. A panel will open and while it remains visible, you can re-arrange the layout. So drag the Home button somewhere else.
For anything you don't want, drag it into that panel.
Similarly, you can add to the existing layout by dragging stuff out of there.

  • The home button on my iPod Touch is unresponsive

The home button on my iPod Touch is not working.  Any app that I'm in, I can't get out of because when I press the home button, nothing happens.  Is there a way to fix this?

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."

  • The home button on my iPod Touch 4G is barely working!

I have to press my home button and my sleep button about 10 times to get it to respond, does anyone have any idea why both buttons would act up? My ipod is nearly full, as in MBs away from it, would that have anything to do with the slow movement??

No, should not have any effect.
    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • Is there a Way to lock apps or disable the home button?

I often allow my 16 month old to play toddler games on my iPhone. He knows how to slide his finger to unlock the phone and he loves pressing and holding the home button to activate Siri so he can talk to her! LOL! I am worried that he will accidently delete or move an app to another screen by accident so is there a way to prevent that from happening. Also while he plays his games, he likes to press the home button which closes him out of his game. Is there a way to disable the home button so he can just stay within his toddler games?

You can use Guide Access to restrict your child to using a single app. See:
