People say that when we choose the option to change memory it will ask for copying messages "yes it does BUT only the first time.... Now how do i move the messages when it does not ask me anymore.
People say to remove some file from c:/system/mail then it will ask again, but this file/folder is not their in my n73

Hi, can anyone tell how to move message from phone memory to Memory card. Everytime, i'm connecting to PC, thn it is being changed to phone memory. Cant PC suite synchronize it with memory card messages folder. Please help. By the way, my phone is Nokia X6, if someone can help me, it would be gr8.

I can mark all the messages, but the option to copy them to phone memory does not appear! I'm using the lastest firmware for my Nokia 5800.

before you fiddle with it you may want to back up your photos on your PC. This is how to move them from phone to PC.
How to Transfer photos from HTC memory to PC
1) From the phone: select: Menu>settings>connect to pc>as disk
2) Attach phone to pc with usb cable
3) From pc open: Computer>removable disk F>dcim>100media
Note: you can also pull the mini sd card out of you phone and plug that directly into your computer. just make sure to unmount the disk through your settings options before you remove it from the phone.

Low On Space - How to Move Apps from phone to SD Card

Yes, I have a Pantech Breakout and I'm having a little problem with it, It shows under my Storage settings with Total Space stating 7.50GB, Available space 7.16GB and Internal space 42.19MB. Now when I go to my Storage settings under Application settings where All is highlighted is shows on bottom of phone Internal Storage 297MB used and 49MB free, when I select On SD Card it shows on bottom of phone 3.55MB used and 7.2GB free. My problem is this I recently downloaded an app right and after I downloaded the app I received a Message telling me this: Low on Space...Phone Storage is getting low please move applications from phone to SD card to secure enough space. Ok, I just don't know how to move applications from phone to SD card.

Clear the cache. Menu > settings > Applications > manage applications > all tab > menu button > sort by size
Go through each application one by one and press the "clear cache" button.
Uninstall any application you don't need on the phone. Sorry the pre-installed applications can't be removed.
If an application has an option "move to SD card" you can press it to move the app to the SD card. Be aware that any application with a widget stored on the SD card will not be able to use the widget.
I would also check the size of your email application and if large, deleted any old emails from the trash. An easy way is to remove the email account, reboot the phone and then add the account back onto the phone.
Text messages are another storage hog. I would suggest getting a SMS backup or full text message (SMS & MMS) backup application to backup your messages. Then you can safely delete your messages and clear up some space.

After I import a movie file from the camera memory card, Imovie 10.0.1 acts as if the memory card is empty though I know it isn't.... I can't import that file to iMovie again.. is that the way it worksnow? Thank you, Filippo

I would like to know this too. I imported a lot of files, then Imovie crashed. I went back in and they are not in imovie at all.
I reconnected the camcorder to import again and though they are still on the camcorder, I no longer see them in the available list of files to import. I'm sure there is some sort of simple setting somewhere that reveals all files even if it thinks they are imported.

After I change the option of saving the messages from phone memory to memory card on my E90, I don't see any of the messages stored on the previous choice in INBOX. This is ok, I understood this.. But.. How do I copy the messages from phone memory to memory card for example ? Reply pls..

I think I kind of solved this issue.. Try doing this. Copy all files from memory card to a back-up folder in your PC, after connecting the phone to the PC via 'Data Transfer Mode', by clicking CTRL+A while in Memory Card in Windows Explorer. (Doing this, you will also copy the hidden files, if you haven't clicked the option to view hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer). Afterwards, format the memory card via phone, or simply CTRL+A + Delete from explorer to fully erase the microSD card. In phone, messages, in other settings, choose phone memory to store SMS messages, and then.. tell a friend to send you an SMS message, or simply send one to yourself. After receiving the message, go back to settings->Other, save sms messages to:, choose Memory Card, and the phone should ask you, whether to move or not the original messages. If you choose to move them, and NOT to save the original messages, entire messages from phone should move to the memory card. (If you would have chosen to save the original messages, the mesages that you move, would STILL BE in the phone memory.) If you want to do this again, to move them from memory card back to phone memory, change the memory to save sms messages (and if at first you have chosen NOT to save original messages, the phone should 'ask' you again for the same question.)
And, btw, if you're probably curious.. (as I was ) where the messages were saved, in memory card, after the first time you copy the messages to memory card, check the memory card via 'Data Transfer' mode on your PC's Windows Explorer. I found them in the 'private' folder somewhere.. There should be a mail and mail2 folder there.. Also, the phone browsers, FExplorer, and Y-Browser won't be able to access the private folder. (For security reasons, bleah )
Afterwards you can copy all software folders, images, music files, documents, etc. from the backed-up memory card folder you created at the first steps, since we all know E90 is a smart cutie, and will automatically detect all files, software, etc., after you copy-paste them.

you may need to do a smaller amount of sms transfering at a time.
try transfering 10 at a time and see if that works, then report back.

Is there a program I can use to retrieve corrupted .MOV files, from a HD memory card where some files will open, and others wont?

I have a Mac OS X version 10.6.8 with a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory.
I have recently shot some still and moving footage on my Cannon EOS 500 D (digital camera) using an AMICOE SD C10 8 GB high speed memory card.
After uploading these photos and movies onto my Mac, I am only able to open about 2/3 of the files that appear on the screen. In the case of the movie files, I can see a number of the file icons, however about 1/3 of them will not open (I get a message saying that Quicktime does not recognise this file - yet it is a .MOV file. Interestingly I can see a small thumbnail for each of these files that will not open, however I am unable to expand the thumbnail into the larger size) and there are a number of photos that simply do not appear as a file or thumbnail.
Is there a program I can use to retrieve these corrupted .MOV and JPEG files from either my computer or the memory card?

....to add to the last part... When adding to the iTunes library,- I need iTunes to make a quick-scan to verify that media I am adding isn't already in there,- preventing duplicates that make remedial tasks of removing* duplicates so annoying and unproductive...

Copying Text Messages from Phone Memory

I have managed to backup all my text messages from SIM Card to Computer, but I still have around 55 messages in my Phone (in Phone Memory), I need to backup them as well,
Could anyone please tell me how can I copy text messages from Phone Memory to SIM?
The reason I need to copy them onto SIM Card because the Original Phone can’t be connect to PC so I have to copy all Text Messages onto SIM and use another latest phone to connect to PC,

you will probably have to send them to another phone via forward of sms to email, or forward of sms to sms.

I know it can be frustrating seeing that inbox get full and having to delete
stored messages. I do see in the Samsung manual where it advises that it
will store a maximum of 300 messages on the phone. The number may lower
if there are pictures messages and other things being stored on the device.
Have you checked your total Memory available in Settings and Tools? How much is
currently available? Please let us know these details and we may be able
to help further!

Transfering pictures from Droid Razor Memory Card to Macbook Pro Laptop!

I have a Droid Razor & I'm trying to transfer my pictures from my memory card to my Macbook Pro Laptop. It's not working. Can someone please help me nobody seems to know anything about how this is done through Apple or Verizon. I can transfer my pictures onto my Dell Desktop with no problem. I'm getting very frustrated. I knew I should have bought the IPHONE but Verizon talked me out of it! Please someone help me A.S.A.P.

Thanks Mike for getting back with me. I'm trying to uninstall VCast from my laptop now. Hope it works. I've had my Droid Razor just before Christmas, my husband bought it for me for a Christmas gift. Now when I slide the bar across to unlock the phone it goes real slow. I'm really not very happy with this phone at all, but I guess I'm stuck with it. What do you think as far as to which you think is the better phone the IPhone or Droid Razor. I'm having a hard time uninstalling VCast from my apple too. Thanks for following up Ann. When you plug in your RAZR, is VCast opening up on your laptop? If so, I suggest uninstalling it from the laptop so it does not interfere with what we're trying to do. When multiple programs are trying to read the same USB device, it causes conflicts. As far as the iPhone goes, if you're still within your 14-day exchange period, feel free to exchange the device for one that you want. Please keep me updated when you have the time. Cannot transfer photos from sandisk micro memory card reader to i photo in mac os x 10.6.8

Cannot transfer photos and videos from sandisk micro memory card reader to i photo in mac book pro. The photos were taken on my samsung phone. The chip was then placed in the sandisk and plugged into laptop. They appear in finder window but I don't know how to get them into i photo.

Select one file and type Command+A (Select All) to select all at one time.

Download jpeg photos to iPad from a flash memory card

I exported JPG photos using Iphoto to a usb flash memory card in a DCIM folder. I want a friend to download these photos on his Ipad.
I can use the Finder to display any of these photos from the flash memory card. So they exported right.
But his Ipad 2 with the latest IOS version does not see any photos when the flash memory card is connected to it using the usb connector.
The memory card has been formatted in MS-DOS
When I connect the flah memory card back to my Imac, I see all photo files with the Finder.
Iphoto sees the flash memory card but does not see any photos it exported.
How can I solve this?

Sorry, I used the terms usb flash memory card, I should have used USB flash drive in my question.
I tested your suggested solution. I changed the name of the photo to: I45.jpg and the result is the same. I always get the message "NO PHOTO CAN BE IMPORTED".
Any other suggestion?

Move messages from 5800 to C6-01

Hey, as the title says is it possible to some how to move messages from one phone to another. (Nokia 5800 to C6-01)
Tried it with create a backup from 5800 and then restore to C6-01 but only part of messages were moved.
If anyone knows any other ideas, i would be very grtafeul.

Not sure if the Phone Switch will transfer the Messages as well ... but what you may try is 'Sync' all your Messages on Nokia 5800 with the Nokia Suite.. Then connect the Nokia C6-01 and select Inbox in Nokia Suite-->Messaging..then select all messages in the Middle column and Drag-and-Drop them in the Inbox of the Phone (next to the phone icon at the bottom) .. Similarly select messages in Sent folder and Drag-and-Drop them in the Sent folder of the phone ...
