Move multiple albums itunes to ipod

how do i move multiple albums to an ipod in itunes 12? it should be simple...

select 'songs' view on top right hand side of home page then it looks like an old (useful) itunes. Control and select, drag and drop. Easy. Why was it so hard to figure out? Why is itunes so counter intuitive?

  • Multiple album art on iPod

Has anyone tried viewing multiple artwork per song on their iPod? I've got several albums that have bland cover art, so I put the cover art and some other photos on indvidual songs. I can view the mutliple art in iTunes but can't see it on the iPod. I do see the cover art just not the indivaul art. any help would be much appreciated?

Yes i am a windows user. I don't think you are fully understanding me though.
I know very well you can add artwork to a song and to a number of songs at once, like you say NetBuzz. But adding MULTIPLE artwork to MULTIPLE tracks all in one go. It is not possible from the way you explain NetBuzz, you can only add one piece of artwork with multiple tracks highlighted/selected. You can not add mutliple artwork with multiple tracks highlighted/selected.
I was wondering whether there is a way of adding multiple artwork whilst multiple tracks are highlighted....
    Thanks for your help...

  • How do I move music from itunes to ipod nano

Holy crap - add this to my list of reasons I hate Apple products with the intensity of a thousand suns.
All I want to do is move songs my daughter purchased with her gift card to the iPod Nano someone gave her. In a normal world, one would login to itunes, connect the ipod to the computer, select the track(s) in the library, and click "move to ipod", but this isn't a normal world. This is appleland where nothing makes sense
    Can someone help?

    That's basically what you do...
Connect the iPod and select it in iTunes.  If the iTunes sidebar is not showing, from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  The iPod should appear in the sidebar, under DEVICES.  Click on it to select it.
With the iPod selected in iTunes, there is a row of buttons toward the top, starting with Summary.  Click on Music next to Summary.  This the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box for Sync Music.  If the iTunes music library is small and fits completely on the iPod, you can choose to sync Entire music library.  Then click Apply.  With this setting, everything in the iTunes music library syncs to the iPod.  Whenever you make a change to the iTunes library, such as adding new songs, iTunes automatically updates the iPod with the same changes, the next time it is connected (or when you click the Sync button).  If this works for you, you don't have to read the rest.
Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  A convenient way to use this setting is to create a new playlist in your iTunes library.  You can call it "iPod Songs," or whartever you want.  From the iTunes music library, add the songs you want on the iPod, such as those iTunes Store purchases, to that playlist.  Back on the iPod's Music screen, find "iPod Songs" under Playlists, and select (checkmark) it.  When you click Apply, the songs from your selection sync to the iPod.  Going forward, when you want to update the songs on the iPod, just update that playlist in your iTunes library (add/remove songs).  The iPod does not need to be connected.  The next time you connect the iPod (or when you click the Sync button), iTunes automatically syncs the same changes to the iPod.

  • Multiple albums only on iPod

    Hello
I looked through some threats couldn't find the exact answer to my question tho, so I have about 5 albums that are by a music label and are music mixes I.e. With more than one artist per album. In iTunes I sorter them with album name "x" and album artist "y" and they sort perfectly. But as soon as I sync with my iPod Classic they duplicate on the device. And I have the same album appearing 3-6 times. Doesn't anyone know a fix?

The solution is there... The iPod classic firmware handles the same metadata somewhat differently. It is more sensitive to casing variations and doesn't work with Album Artist. On the iPod classic each Album title should be unique, and each track on that album should have the same Artist or the tracks must be marked as Part of a Compilation. Sort values should not be used to try to merge different things.

  • I cant put movie purshased in itunes into ipod classic 160

Or other movies that I buy was downloads in two formats (SD and HD) but this, Batman trilogy no.

  • How to move podcasts from iTunes to iPod...nano 2nd gen with iTunes 8.2.1,

...that don't have the little blue dot indicating that they've not been listened to? These podcasts aren't sync'ed to iPod bec iPod thinks that they have been listed to and they haven't. How to 'restore' these podcasts to their original 'unheard' status? The solution appears to manually manage podcasts, but I couldn't follow directions which I think were intended for iTunes 9 --such as find the Source and go from there (no "Source" on my iTunes).

You can also change your settings from iTunes under the 'podcasts' tab of your ipod. If you set it to sync all episodes instead of all unplayed episodes it should work just fine.
If you wanted to pick which podcasts sync but don't want to manually manage, you could also create a smart playlist that chooses all 'checked' podcasts and sync that playlist instead. Then only the podcasts you check will be synced, regardless of whether or not they've been played.

  • Multiple Issues. iTunes and iPod don't match with what's on iPod. Can't remove, can't add to. Saying overcapacity in iTunes.

I cannot remove items from the iPod, I cannot add to the iPod. iTunes is saying that the iPod is overcapacity. iTunes says the iPod has 7200+ songs on it, but the iPod says 632, when I had some 6800 songs on it before trying to sync. There are also greyed out songs showing in iTunes that I cannot add to the iPod. I have the latest version of both iTunes and latest version of iOS on the iPod. This iPod Touch is a 5th generation 64GB. Extremely frustrated.

Decided to do a complete wipe of the iPod to factory specs, deleting everything. As much of a pain as that is... I couldn't think of another solution.

  • Moving Multiple Albums & Album Sort Order Questions

Hopefully this is a really easy question to answer, but I just can't figure out how to do this.
    1. Can you move multiple albums around in Aperture? I just imported my iPhoto libraries and I'd like to groups a set of the albums that I have into one project. The problem is that I can only move one album at a time.
    2. Can you specify the sort order or manual set the order that albums appear in projects or folders? It seems that Aperture automatically sorts them alphabetically.
    Thanks!

    1. Can you move multiple albums around in Aperture?
unfortuantely, as far as i am aware you can only move one at a time
    2. Can you specify the sort order or manual set the
order that albums appear in projects or folders? It
seems that Aperture automatically sorts them
    alphabetically.
you are correct, automatically alphabetically only ... i haven't been abble to change this at all ... the only way to force something else is by adding a ~ or other character that is ahead of 0 ...

  • Songs appearing on multiple albums

    iTunes v7.6.1.9
I think I probably know the answer to this but if someone can confirm it I can sleep easy.
I have over 5500 tracks loaded into iTunes and there are a number of duplicate songs that appear on more than album. Is there a way of telling iTunes this so that I can save space on the pod?

At present if a song is on multiple albums iTunes requires that you have a separate file for each one, it can't at present allocate multiple albums to a single song file. If this is something you'd like to see in a future version you can send feedback/feature requests directly to Apple at this link: Apple Product Feedback

  • Multiple Albums on 1 CD

I have several CDs that have multiple albums on them. I'm trying to import all my music into itunes. When I attempt to put my CD with the multiple albums, iTunes tells me that there are multiple albums which is the correct one. I do not have the option to select all, when I select one the others are no longer available. Even if I eject the CD and put it back in again. Is there anyway to pull all my albums from the one cd into iTunes?
    Thanks
    Renee

Well, iTunes may be a bit confused because the cd you're using is not a proper commercial cd. iTunes grabs title names/albums/artists from cds through a huge online database called cddb. More info here:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61068
    Or:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CDDB
    Or:

Doing research on that might help you better understand the issue you're facing.

  • Multiple albums on ipod even though itunes only has 1

    Hi,
Please help, I've been downloading my CD collection using iTunes and when I sync it to my ipod (7th Gen) there are multiple albums with the same name and songs(14 on some occasions) even though when I check in iTunes there is only one. This problem is not just related to one album but 5, the one thing they do have in common is similar album names i.e. Circus and The Circus, Greatest Hits and The Greatest Hits.
Coincidentally, Circus has 14 tracks and duplicated 14 times ??????
I've searched online and tried to find a solution but unfortunately not found anything which helps.
I'm tempted to reset the Ipod and start syncing all the songs but there is over 6000 and hoping there maybe a simpler solution.
    Regards
    Andy

iTunes and iPod have slightly different rules for ordering and grouping content. In particular the iPod does not observe Album Artist, each may have different settings for how to treat compilations, and inconsistencies in certain fields can have unexpected results, such as generating multiple covers for the same album.
See Grouping tracks into albums for more information.

  • Move one album from ipod to itunes

Ok, I'm sure I'm missing something easy here. Tried Help, searched forums, etc. I'm stuck.
I have two PCs with iTunes 8. Not thinking this through, I downloaded an album from Amazon (had a free coupon) to the PC that I don't usually use. I then manually moved that one album to my ipod nano (4th gen).
I want to move that one album to iTunes on the other computer - the one I usually use that has the updated library. I'm pretty sure this Amazon download isn't recognized as "purchased" or I'd try the download purchase function.
Gotta be something easy I'm missing. Thanks for any help.

There are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
