Move music to ipad

Question

Can I use the Apple memory card adapter to move my music library from an external drive to the iPad, and administer iTunes from there?
Having done so, can I continue to use the adapter to load more music into the iPad?
Also, having achieved this, will the cloud transfer my unique home recordings to the iPod touch?

As Demo points out, unless you want to retrict your available music continent to what you purchase from iTunes, or can steam via one of the manymappsmtnat do that, you need a computer with iTunes installed.
As for iTunes Match, I have it, and for me it is worth the cost. I currently have about 17,000 tracks stored, about 98% from ripped CDs, and have access to all of them on the iPad assuming I have a WiFi connection. Many of them were upgraded to 256 bit rate tracks via the match process (many are also simply uploaded and those are at the 320 I ripped them to). In my case, I liquidated the CDs.
One possible option you might consider is looking into one of the WiFi connectable portable hard drives. There are now several on the market, and you might have to use an alternate music player with them, and of course would need the use of a computer to the set the hard drive up.
IN a more general sense, I have been using an iPad as my primary computing device for two,and half years now, and really like it. But, I cannot imagine not having access to a full blown computer as well, nor would I recommend it. YMMV.
