Move percent in pie chart?

I'd like to be able to shift the percentage number in a pie chart slightly to add text below it with a text block. Is there any way to do this? It seems I can just have the percentage amount appear either inside or outside the pie piece, but can't position where inside. Is that the case?
Thanks in advance for your help.

In the Inspector > Charts
play with the slider entitled :
Labels > Position
*Oops, I missed that you are using Numbers '08, the slider is a Numbers '09 feature.*

    Hi,
    I used this tag : <SliceLabel textType="LD_TEXT_PERCENT"/>
    My full graph;
    chart:
    <Graph depthAngle="50" depthRadius="8" pieDepth="30" pieTilt="20" seriesEffect="SE_AUTO_GRADIENT" graphType="PIE"><LegendArea visible="false" automaticPlacement="AP_NEVER" position="LAP_BOTTOM" /><LocalGridData colCount="1" rowCount="{count(.//DSYATIRIMDAGILIMANA_ROW)}"><RowLabels><xsl:for-each select=".//DSYATIRIMDAGILIMANA_ROW" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"><Label><xsl:value-of select="RAPORAD" /></Label></xsl:for-each></RowLabels><DataValues><xsl:for-each select=".//DSYATIRIMDAGILIMANA_ROW" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"><RowData><Cell><xsl:value-of select="ORAN" /></Cell></RowData></xsl:for-each></DataValues></LocalGridData>
    <SliceLabel textType="LD_TEXT_PERCENT"/>
    </Graph>
    I hope, It helps you since I figure it out in very very hard way.

  • Overlay a graphic on a Pie Chart, & Rotate text in a Pie Chart

    Is it possible to overlay a graphic on a pie chart?
    I've tried manipulating the Wrap Inspector, but regardless, when I paste a graphic on topic it drops below the pie chart and deletes one segment of the pie.
    In a related pie chart question, is it possible to rotate the text to face into the central axis, think spokes in wheel (vs. the default horizontal). I can rotate the pie chart in about 3 dif. inspectors, but no luck here...and my texts is just a little too long to fit nicely in the default (and too hard to read if I reduce the font size).
    Thanks

    I assume you want to have a graphic that sits over the chart, and that you see the values underneath? Something like a shine, worn texture or logo?
    If you are wondering what happened to your particular 'missing slice' open the Graph inspector and select that section. Chances are you have changed the tiled image which was assigned to that particular piece of the pie chart.
    To overlay a graphic, draw a circle shape. In the graphics inspector assign an image fill to that shape. Choose tiled or scale to fit as required (a png. file with transparencies will show the underlying values, as will setting the opacity of the circle)
    Turn the wrap off for the circle (It sounds like your pie chart may be set to 'moves with text' instead of 'locked to page') And then place it overtop of the pie chart. Resize to fit. Since this is now 'locked to page' and above the pie chart, any movement of the pie chart means you will have to reorient your overlay. To avoid this, set the pie chart to Locked to Page as well.
    At this point you can set the wrap for the pie chart so the text moves around it if you like. Your overlay and the pie chart will remain in sync if they are both fixed to page.
    Regarding your text question, no. You can't set that. What you can do is use a numerical, letter or symbolic value and include a legend manually to indicate the true names of the portions using a text box.
    (I've seen someone with a pie chart whose segments were labeled with seven words, the last two of which were the only ones that changed. I suggested using the unchanging portion as the graph title and the changing portion as the individual slices. Not sure if that would apply to your project.)

  • Only One Label is Formatting as Percent in a Pie Chart - Help

    I'm having trouble with a pie chart.  I have only two values in the chart and have added labels.  When I preview the report both labels display correctly.  However, when I right-click the labels in design view and select the #PERCENT option
    from the Series Label Properties and the preview the chart, only one label is actually formatted as a percent.
     I don't get it?
    I've followed the steps in other forum questions to get around this but nothing works.  I am in a hurry and really need this to work properly, can someone spell this out for me?
    This is what I see in preview currently:

  • How to present percent and value in pie chart?

    Hi guys,
    I tried to present both percent and value in a pie chart in web intelligence. I've looked over data value setting but still no luck. Can we request this feature to be available in the next SAP BO platform upgrade.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    You can try this .
    1)
    Add 2 Pie charts in your Report (Align top
    & Left Same Size ) .
    Set Background Color Transparency 0%
    Set Data Value Presentation value for 1 st (Outside)
    Percent for 2nd (Inside)
    Make size of the pie as per the value presentation  .

  • Interactive Reporting - Dragging a Pie Chart into a Report

    I have a report that contains about 5 charts at the end of all the tables containing data (the charts are in the report footer). I have created a new pie chart and want to drag it into the report footer as well. When I drag it in, it goes at the very beginning of the report footer. I have tried dragging it down and it seems to only want to stay on that very first page of the report footer. I am not able to move it onto a different page. How do I make this work? What I'd really like to do is add a new page in the middle of the charts and put this new chart on that new page ... but i couldn't figure out how to do that, so I was just going to drag the new chart to the very bottom of the other charts.
    Thanks.

    I had a case where I needed "extra" Report Footers. To do this I created bogus Report Group Columns in my results section with a constant value, same for all rows.
    I then used this as a Report Group in the Report Section. I turned off the Group Header and Turned On the Group Footer with a Page Break Before or After. If you have other Report Groups then you would need to make the Bogus Report Group Column before any of your business report groups.

  • Histogram works, Pie Chart doesn't :(

    I have a simple form, which has 1 block, a block level "when-new-block-instance" trigger and 2 bean_area under the block (beans don't have any trigger code). This simple form is called from within another form when a button is pressed. The histogram (bar chart) works, but the simple pie chart doesn't work (only displays a single circle - not the slices on the pie). The related trigger code is below. This uses the FormsGraph.jar file implementation as you can see. I know Frank Nimphius is the only expert when it comes to FormsGraph.jar at Oracle, but currently he is on vacation - so no official support to an unofficial (unsupported) charting implementation - but I thought there might be others who have done this before.
    Can someone who implemented a pie chart share his/her code here - a simple pie chart, nothing fancy (like the one that comes with the graph90.fmb file, which I followed but did not figure out why my implementation is not working). Something with the vData string or number of vData strings requirement? no explanation in the FormsGraph.jar doc and I am not a java programmer to figure it out from the java source code. I am looking for a simple trigger code for the pie chart - not like "look at the forms90.fmb that comes with the demo package" kinda answer.
    Thanx

  • How to Display result value on Pie chart in wad

    Dear Experts,
    I'm useing WAD to create web template, in that I have a requiremnt to develop Pie chart and it should show material cost according to material type for each slice on Pie chart. I have developed a WAD template for the same and Pie chart as well but I can not see the respective material type cost on Pie chart, where as I can see those values in tool tip when I move mouse over the pie chart, I understand I'm missing a small setting can you please help me to find that setting so that user can see values directly on pie chart without moving the cursor on the same.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Chandrakant.

    are you r using wad 7.0 or 3.5
    in 7.0  right click on the graph, edit  nyou wil be in the wizard go on step 3 and try to change the series and make sure visilibility is checked
    if this doesnt work then click refine and go to series and make sure show lables are checked.
    try this.

  • Pie chart to display top 5

    I am using pie chart to display the top 5 countries based on the values. For this, i created an advanced option where on the change of is country with TopN being 5 including others and show values is Pth pecentile (P=50) of @value percent.
    The problem is that the pie chart percentage is showing as 52.2% for a country and the detail information below is showing 39.38% which is calculated based on value / total value * 100. The same formula is used for the pie chart as well.
    Is this how its supposed to behave or should it show the correct value on the pie chart? How can i achieve the correct value.
    thanks

  • Problem with a pie chart

    Hi Gurus
    I try to do a pie chart and a i´ve a problem .in the format Categories i use percent 0.00% for to see the value but i can´t see the name of the categories .it´s possible and how ?
    thanks Gurs

    Hi,
    you can use $Category to display the category name in your format of a pie label. Combined with a line break your format string would look like <b>$Category$br$Percent0.00 "%"</b>.
    Note that you must have IGS 7.00 patch 10 to use this feature. See also SAP notes <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1076634">1076634</a> and <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1064448">1064448</a> for more information.

  • Pie Chart displaying percentages

    Good Morning,
    I'm hoping someone has had experience creating a pie chart
    with percentage values and is wiling to offer some assistance
    because I've tried many ways and still came up short.
    The data table I'm using contains two columns: type (A, B, C,
    etc) and amount (100, 250, etc).
    In order to create a chart showing what percent of the whole
    each type is, I need to sum all the amounts for all types then
    divide each type by the sum of all amounts (to create each slice).
    Any suggestions on how to do this through CFquery and
    CFchart?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sue

    Add this line in the graph you are putting in RTF template.
    Right click the image, properties and the last tab web.
    add this under the graph node.
    To get the actual Value use this.
    <SliceLabel textType="LD_VALUE"/>
    Other vaules you can use are
    LD_TEXT_PERCENT, LD_VALUE , LD_TEXT , LD_PERCENT

  • Pie Chart in Management Cockpit

    Hi everybody,
    this time a question concerning pie charts in Mgt Cockpit. Does anyone how to show the percentage values of each part of the pie within the chart? Is this possible? I only see the absolute values concatenated with the "%"-sign, which makes no sense.
    Or do I have to adjust the query to make the query deliver percentage-values (which sum up to 100%)?
    Thx in advance!
    Thomas

    Hi,
    If you want to see the percentage value according to the total value, write <b>0.0$Percent%</b> in the <i>format</i> section of your series/point.

  • "Pie chart in pivot view  showing only the first column's results" in obiee

    Hi,
    In my pivot view(pie chart view+pivottable),i'm getting only the first column's result in pie chart..
    I have added a column named *'A*' in rows and '*moneyspent*' in measuresfield and the '*period*' in the columnsfield in the pivot view.I'm calculating the sum of
    the rows and columns..
    I'm not getting the sum valueof moneyspent in the pie chart..instead i'm getting only the first column of period in the pivot table in the pie chart.
    can anyone tell how can i get the sum value of pivot table in pie chart?
    Thanks in advance..

    Hi Prash,
    let me try to give you an example based on the paint sample:
    Use Markets.Region, Products.Brand, 'Sales Measures'.Units
    choose a pivot view to display the result: region goes into the rows-section, Brand goes into the columns-section and Units into the measures-section
    In the columns-section add a total using the 'add total' at 'Measure Labels' level
    the result is a total column on the right side of the pivot.
    looking like this:
    Units
    Brands
    Region Enterprise Magicolor Mccloskey Valspar Units Total
    Central 1032.....
    Eastern 1485......
    Southern 824.....
    Western 580
    What I am looking for is a new column 'Units Total pct'.
    If I duplicate the measure to show the values in percent, I'll get a second column per Brand (showing the absolute and percentage values) - that's what I don't want
    Regards
    Andy

  • Pie Chart summarizing grid data

    New to Flex.  Searched for a method to build a pie chart based on a column in the grid we've created.
    So Far:
    The grid gets created based on info passed in a form.
    I can get two pie charts to be created based on specific columns in the data.
    The pie charts currently have 1 slice per row of data.
    Am I missing an easy way to build a Pie Chart that summarizes this?
    Instead of One Pie Slice per record, how do we get one pie slice per unique value in the data column?
    For instance:
    a datagrid of   source IP | Dest IP | Dest Port | Action
    I'd like a pie chart showing the percent of data per source IP.
    Is there something built in to Flex to handle this?

    Cool...  So if my XML looks like this:
    <options>
    <option>
      <datetime>2008-04-21 14:15:49</datetime>
      <origin>stone</origin>
      <action>reject</action>
      <rule>default</rule>
      <srcip>192.168.93.64</srcip>
      <dstip>192.168.201.10</dstip>
      <dport>988/tcp</dport>
    </option>
    </options
    And datagrid dataprovider is {eventData},
    eventData = event.result.option as XMLList;
    would it be:
    var ipSummary:Object = {};
    for each (var record:Object in eventData) {
      ipSummary[record.srcip] = (ipSummary[record.srcip] || 0) + 1;
    var pieData:Array = [];
    for (var key:String in ipSummary) {
      pieData.push({ srcip: key, activityCount: ipSummary[key] });
    The PieChart would look like:
    <mx:PieChart id="piechart2" dataProvider="{pieData}" showDataTips="true">
    <mx:series>
      <mx:PieSeries id="pieact" displayName="Source IP" field="activityCount"/>
    </mx:series>
    </mx:PieChart>
    Obviously I'm New at Flex...
