Move pictures from my cell phone to my Mac?

Does anyone know how to do this? I've taken pictures with my Motorola Razr and I want to move them to my computer. I don't subscribe to the Internet via my cell phone provider, so I can't e-mail them to myself thru my phone. Is there a software program I can use?
Thanks for any help. Sorry if this question doesn't belong here...
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

bluetooth is the way to go... you can click on "browse device" and pick up the files you want - this works with most manufacturers, but almost always motorola.
Just be sure to keep your phone open incase the phone needs confirmation to send the file - it is a common mistake and cause of non-transfers.
Otherwise, there are other programs out there - you may want to check the site for iSync on apple to see the compatibility. There is also a program called BluePhoneElite which gives you additional compatibility using bluetooth and your wireless phone

How do I transfer pictures from my cell phone to my HP PAVILION p6-2016 using a USB Cable.I would greatly appreciate if you could send detailed instructions on how to do this as I am not the smartest person at all when it comes to computers.

    Hi,
Using USB cable is the easiest way to transfer files from a cell/mobile phone to a computer. This is very simple task using the following steps:
    (a) Connect your phone to your PC/laptop, it will install driver for you automatically (most of the time) OR it will ask you for a CD (which comes with the phone) and it will do the rest,
    (b) Open Windows Explorer (or Files Explorer), the phone will appear like any external storage (external HDD, flash drive ...).
    (c) You can copy, move files/photos from your phone to any valid folder on your computer.
    Regards.

  • How do I get pictures from my cell phone (not an Iphone) on to my ipad mini?

Is there any way to get ohotos from my cell phone (not an iphone:() on to my ipad?

Best way would be to transfer your photos from your non Apple phone to the computer you normally sync your iPad to. Then organize the photos on your computer and sync them to your iPad.
If there are only a few photos your could email them to yourself.

  • Downloading pictures from a cell phone

I have a Motorola Razor cell phone, which I connected to my computer using the USB cable from my graphing calculator. Is it possible to download my pictures off of my cell phone onto iphoto using this setup. If so, how do I do it? If not, is there another way to get the photos into iphoto without emailing them to myself one at a time?
    Thanks!
    Kari

I've had better luck using BlueTooth, if your iMac supports it. Just pair your phone with the iMac and transfer the files.
I don't know how the USB side works (my phone is a Samsung Trace), but I would assume a proprietary file transfer means.
I didn't realize my cell phone pictures looked better on my Mac, but then again, the phone's LCD is so tiny.

  • Downloading pictures from a cell phone to iPhoto 5

I just bought a Motorola V551 camera phone and was told by the sales person that if I bought a USB cable for it (which I did) that I would be able to directly down load pictures to my Mac. I have a iMac G5 with OS 10.4.2 and iPhoto 5.0.4 and assumed downloading would be similar to hooking-up a digital camera - wrong! Anyway to make this work?

    Hi Thomas,
There are a lot of posts concerning your phone, but they are in different discussion areas. I would do a search for "Motorola V551" in all the discussions by clicking on the Home link above, and then putting your phone name in the search box.
I came up with one that is close to yours, but it concerns bluetooth file transfer, but someone does ask about the usb cable.

How do I move pictures from my cell phone to my PC?

Do you get an error when transferring, or do you not see the card/phone show up in a file manager/My Computer?  Do you have the updated drivers for USB from Samsung?
If all of this is fine, can you not cut and paste or drag and drop from the phone/card to a folder?

  • My MacBook Pro does not recognize my Android Incredible 2 cell phone and I can not transfer my photos from my cell phoen to my Mac. I was able to do this in the past, but can no longer do so. i havenot upgraded to any new software.

My MacBook Pro does not recognize my Android Incrdible 2 cell phone and therefore I can not transfer any photos from my cell phone to my Mac. I was able to do this in the past, but can not do so now. I have not upgraded to any new software. My USB cable is plugged in properly and I just get an error message -- "No Android Device Found". What could be the problem?

I had the same issue with the Galaxy S4 trying to see what the hype was about and was my first and last android phone. With that being said unfortunately it is a hit or miss with the Mac recognizing an android device or not.  It worked perfectly fine the first time around and then it stopped working for no apparent reason. Through trial and error nothing I did solved the issue.   I did however plug it in my Mac and left it connected for about 30-40 min to charge for a bit and all of the sudden it recognizes the phone. So I just launched Android File Transfer and everything else became fluid after that.    I have no explanation as to why it happened that way, but what I gathered from this is maybe you just have to let it sit for a minute while plugged in before the Mac recognizes it, after all they are opposing software.  On a side note this is why I will always be an apple user, Iphones and the like never have this problem

  • I have sent 2 pictures to my printer from my cell phone I can't access eprint to prt @ home

I have sent 2 pictures to my printer from my cell phone. I received a message back from hp to check the status of my print job at http://www.hpeprintcenter.com . When I get there, I  haven't found the secret to get to the status of my photos.

    Hey palsharn!
Sorry to hear your mobile isn't printing! What kind of phone are you printing from? Who's your email provider (gmail, yahoo, etc.)? What kind of printer do you have? Have you registered your printer at the eprintcenter? If so, have you set up an authorized user list?
Ok, now that I've gotten all the questions out of the way (sorry about that but if we have to keep going I'll need to know that information) here's some things you can try for now. Try power cycling your printer (unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in). If that doesn't work, try printing an ePrint information page. This can usually be located in the web menu under setup.
Let me know if that works! If not, answer those questions the best you can and I'll continue troubleshooting with you.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!
Although I work for HP, my posts and replies are my own opinion and not those of HP.

  • How do I move pictures from old iphone to new iphone

How do I move pictures from old iphone to new iphone

If you want to transfer your camera roll photos, along with text messages and other data and settings from your old phone to your new one, back up the old phone then restore the backup to your new one (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2109).  If you only want to transfer the photos, import them from your old phone to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, then put them in a folder and sync them to your new phone by selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.  (Be aware that photos synced to your phone using iTunes can only be deleted later by syncing them off again.  They can't be deleted directly on the phone.)

  • How do I retrieve my pictures from my old phone.

I upgraded my phone from the Rogue to the Vortex and the reseller said they transferred all my contacts. After I got home I discovered that my pictures were not transferred. How do I get the pictures from my old phone to either my new phone or at least my computer or the Verizon online picture album since it wasn't done beforehand?

Does the Rogue have a micro SD card? The easiest way (IMO) is to move all the pics onto the card. The phone does not need to be activated to do this.
Then insert the card to your computer and copy all the information to the computer. From this point, you can reformat the card for the Vortex and move or copy the pics back so you can use them on the Vortex. If you don't need them all, you can just leave them on the computer.
To send them to the online album, the phone would need to be activated. It does not need to be activated to transfer the pics to an SD card and then to your computer.

A method to extract audios in movies to be as cell phone ringtones
Have you ever thought of setting the amazing background music or movie songs to be as your cell phone ringtones? Actually, besides directly adding audio files to be as ringtones, it has been already workable to extract audios from video files, such as general DVDs, Blu-rays, camcorder footages, web videos, or other common videos to make cell phone ringtones. As long as you grasp a correct method, you will do it absolutely easy. Now I’d like to introduce you guys a nice way to make it possible, no matter you are using the powerful iPhone, Blackberry, other smart phones or general cell phones, like Nokia, Motorola, Sony Eric, Samsung, etc., you can totally take advantage of this way to make your own preferred ringtones.
    Required software:

There are lots of output options, including MP3, M4R, MP2, MPA, WMA, AAC, AC3, MKA, OGG, AIFF, RA, RAM, WAV, APE, and FLAC. Here I choose .m4r for iPhone as an example. Meanwhile, you can click the folder icon at the end of “Output” to specify where to locate the generated ringtone files. Additionally, Pavtube Ringtone Maker allows you to extract audios from a certain video clip, and you just need insert your wanted start time and end time into the textboxes after “Start” and “End” respectively.
