Move QuickTime Pro to New Computer

How do I go about moving my QuickTime Pro 7 to my new computer? I tried downloading the player afresh and putting in my registration key, but it's still coming up as the QuickTime Player, not QuickTime Pro. Kinda funny, since the 'Buy QuickTime Pro' option under the 'Help' menu is now greyed out.

Wonder if you might help me with a Quicktime problem on my G5 please.
From the desktop, I click on the Quicktime icon and immediately a
dialog box says "QT unexpectedly quit, blah, blah blah" and when I
click the reopen button it opens to the Quicktime player box.
I have Quicktime Pro/DivX Pro 5.2/WMV and Real Player One.

Okay, so before I sold my old Macbook, I moved all of the files (basically the whole hard drive) onto an external hard drive. Now I'm moving files back to my new Macbook. I got Logic Pro up and running without a problem, but when I try to open up one of my files, it can't find all the sound files (jam packs, loops, etc.) it needs in order to play my music. Where do I find those files, and how do I restore them on my new Macbook?
Any help appreciated.

Logic Studio (Logic 9) comes with all the same instruments, effects and additional content plus more. I've never come across a problem with my Logic 7 or 8 projects sounding different when opened in Logic 9.
By the way, instead of copying a system drive, clone your system drive and make it bootable. An app like Carbon Copy Cloner (free) makes this process painless.

You would have to deactivate that software from your older machine first.
Refer to the following link to deactivate your product .

After it is deactivated from the older machine you can use it on your new machine just by entering the serial number of the product .

Install it on the new machine, if you have run out of Activations then you will probably need to contact Adobe and explain what happened as far as the old computer crash and burning.

Hi Everyone,
Just got my first Mac (MacBook Pro) which I love but I'm having a problems importing MPEG 4 files from my Sony digital camera. They play fine through quicktime in the sony format but when I import into quicktime (or imovie for that matter) then export in a .mov file all the sound is lost.
I see some people have reported problems with sound similar to mine but none appear to be the same?
Any ideas??

I am having a similar problem and I see this was never persued any further. I am trying to convert an mpeg file to a mov file using quicktime pro. When I do there is no sound.
Movie info for mov file is: Format is H.264 Decoder, 320 x 240, Millions, FPS is 15, Data Rate is 256.21 kbits/sec.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to quicktime and frustrated from spending hours trying to figure this out! Thanks in advance!

My macbook pro is old and I am replacing it when the next models come out (we hope in a couple of months) Right now I need to use only one app (inDesign) which I currently have in trial mode. I don't have room to put the whole CS6 on this computer, though I could put it on an attached HD. What should be my plan of attack so as to not invalidate my license?

you are entitled to two concurrent installations/activations with your one license, but if you don't need cs6 on your old computer, deactivate (help>deactivate) it.
when your new computer arrives install (do not move/transfer/copy/etc) cs6 on your new computer and activate it with your serial number.

Installing Existing Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on new computer - The "Upgrade Check"

I recently purchased a new computer (Windows 8) to replace my old computer (Windows XP). I had purchased and installed Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 on the old computer in September 2009. At that time I had the serial number of the previous edition of Adobe Acrobat to load into the Upgrade Check screen when installing Acrobat 9. I just deactivated the Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 from the Windows XP machine and downloaded it to the Windows 8 machine and the install went well (still had the serial numbers for the Acrobat 9), until after the reboot when the "Upgrade Check" screen popped up. I don't have the slightest clue what the serial number for the previous version of Acrobat was, I don't even recall what version of Acrobat I had. How can I continue to install my Acrobat Pro 9? I have been using it successfully for three plus years!

If you no longer have the AA7 information, you will have to contact Adobe to determine the software key you had before to allow the installation. Hopefully you had registered your previous product or at least the installation.

I am selling my imac and getting a retina mbp, but the imac will be gone before I can get the new one. So, I need to move all my music from the imac onto an external hard drive to import later. How can I go about doing this? If possible I could just copy all mp3s into a folder on the external and then import it into itunes on new computer. Can I do this? How do I move 2 ipods to new computer?

Hello Everyone,
I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but I'm not finding the answer when I search for this.
I'm an old guy that doesn't use itunes or our ipods much. So I'm not real familiar with all the use, downloading, etc. that goes with it.
I have 2 ipods established on my old computer with itunes. One in my name and the other in my wife's name. I want un-sync those ipods from the old computer so I can sync them to the new computer. The last time I tried, the old computer will still turn on.
The old computer has Windows xp. The new one has Windows 7.
I have not downloaded any music at all (but I do want to download some music when I get this straightened out on my new computer). My itunes only has cd's that I loaded there. We both use the same itunes library to load our ipods.
I downloaded itunes on my new computer already.
How do I un-sync the 2 ipods from the old computer so I can sync and use them on the new computer? Is there a step-by-step link anyone can refer me to? I need instructions that don't assume I know anything about this.
I'm on some car forums and I know it's a pain when someone asks something that's been covered so many times already. But, I have searched and I'm not seeing what I need.

How do I move my wife's ipod nano from the old computer to the new one?
We used the same library.
What is de-authorize?
Since we use the same library: Can I simply remove her's from the old, and then plug it into the new?
Or, since I moved the library over, did her's automatically come with it?

How can I get the serial number for CS6 - I did not register it on my adobe account and I don't have the invoice/email from Aug 2012 nor the box anymore. I need the number to move software to a new computer.

I am trying to move Indesign CS6 to a new computer.
To do this I need the serial number of the license.
It seems I did not register the number on my Adobe account as nothing is there.
I bought the software in August 2012 - and no longer have the invoice.
i think we got the software by box but am not sure.
