Move Rules from DV to PR in CC5.2

We are in the process of converting from CC4.0 to CC5.2.  In 4.0 we currently create our Rules using CC Rule Architect in DV, then transport to PR.
Once we get CC5.2 up and running, we will still create our Rules in DV.  Can someone explain the process for getting the Rules from DV to PR?

I think the best approach either doing a full initial load or during the change management process is the solution brought by Naveen, the export/import rule functionnality in CC 5.2 should solve this issue.
I'm still working on the business processes that will support my current installation and havent tried the fct yet, but if this function allows to overwrite the old rule set with a fresh one after the import, it should the trick perfectly since this function was put in place to replace the ABAP transports.
Simpliest process should be to maintain in DEV and do first run of testing, Export to text file, import in QA, final test and signoff then export and final import in PRD.
Cheers
Jay

  • Unable to move css rules from one css to another

    hello,
I am attempting to move several rules from a style.css to another style.css - the original css is in a folder in the root folder of the site, while the css that i want to add the rules to is in the root folder. I am getting the following error "File Style.css does not exist. Would you like to create it?" - any suggestions would be great otherwise I will have to recreate a dozen rules! thank you!
    jenny

Are you comfortable enough to open both CSS files in Code View and cut-and-paste the rules across manually?
Takes seconds doing it that way.

  • Move Transfer rules from BD1 to BQ1

    Dear Friends,
How can we Create and Move the Transfer rules from Development system(BD1) to Quality System( BQ1)
    Regards
    Ramana

    Hi Ramana
Follow these steps to collect your objects in a transport.
    1. In RSA1, you have a tab "Transport Connection" on the left pane. Click on it and you will see various options, for Ex, InfoObjects, DataSources, DTPu2019s etc.
    2. Click on the InfoObjects and expand it, there you will see "Select Objects" option. Double click it and then a windows pops up. You need to put the object names and say Transfer selections.
    3. All you objects will be collected on the right pane. It might collect other related objects like DSO (if those objects are being used in that), the corresponding DataSource, DTPu2019s etc. If you donu2019t need them deselect them and then click on the "Truck" icon on the top.
    4. It will ask for a transport number, there you can click on the "NEW" icon and it will create a new transport for you. All your objects will be collected in that TR.
    To Move the TR
    1. Go to SE10 and select your TR (one u create above).
    2. Expand it and click on the Sub-TR. Then click on the Truck icon on the top to release the TR.
    3. Similarly release the actual TR by clicking on the Truck icon.
    4. Go to T-code STMS and move this TR to the desired environment.
    Thanks in SDN points

  • In Mail on my iMac I have a rule to move emails from one account (comcast) to my .me account.  How can I get this rule to be applied to my iPad2?

So far, I'm happy with the Cloud as a new user of Apple; however, I can't seem to figure out how to merge a rule from my iMac to my iPad.  Your help is appreciated.

open the icloud webmail app in http://www.icloud.com . There is a settings icon in the upper right corner for mail settings. It lets you create alias and also rules. This is then applied to all devices in your icloud that are signed in with the same Apple-ID as the one you use to log in there.

  • Changing the automatic Distribution Rule from Per to Full

    Hello SAPians,
I have a scenario where the Customer is maintaining the Moving Average Price (I know this is not SAP suggested, I am in the process of convincing to move from moving avg to Std) for the Semi-finished goods and finished goods.
It is Product Cost by Order scenario where Process Orders are using and the settlement rule to the Material and distribution rule is "Per" (Periodic). The main reason Customer had this Per was they would not be able to settle the Order once they settle it in full.
But due to increased issues in month end atctivities due to thie 'Per' settlement (settlement of Process Orders not settling properly in the last month due to the failure of Batch jobs and other reasons). I want to suggest them to use Distribution Rule 'Full' instead of 'Per' because of the following advantages considering the above scenario.
    1. The 'Full' settlement can be settled if the Order is not in Teco or closed status any number of times as long as there is the Variance sitting on the Order.
    2. The 'Full' Distribution rule will not create issue if the variance is sitting on the Order in the closed period because when you do the settlement in the next period, system will allocate the variances from the last period to the Material Receiver in the current Period(I have not yet tested this scenario) and has not been. (Yeah I know there will be issue if the Material has been moved out of inventory before the settlement happens, they have another set up to update the Material prices manually by keeping the track of cost of Material).
    3. So the config change will be the Product cost by Order -> Manufacturing Order-> Define Cost-Accounting-Relevant Default Values for Order Typ --> change the Default rule from PP1 to PP2 'Process orders (periodic settlement)'
Please let me know if what I am thinking is wrong based on this sceanrio and also please give me some more insight if I am missing any points.
Thank you very much for your time!
    -Harter.

    Hi Balaji/Ajay,
Could you please help me in understanding the effect of Variances if I change the Order type to FULL in this scenario (Moving Average price for Finished good Material)?
I checked the configuration and the Variance is only Total Variance that is settling to FI and COPA.
Also client is more concentrated on Variance accumulated per year and not per month.
Let's say I have Order in Period 9 where the actual debits on the Order are $1000 and actual credits are $1200 where balance (variance) is $200 and suppose I missed the Period 9 settlement and I want to settle this Order in Period 10 where I had $100 variance in that Period 10
    Period         Variance on Order                Status
    9              $200                   missed
    10              $100                   not yet
So now when I settle the Order in period 10 (with FULL as settlement type), it settles $300 instead of $100 variance. So if this is the case, if I look at the Variance data, yes the variance data is wrong but if I look at yearly perspective, it looks right but I think I am missing something here, right?
Also what happens if the Order is open more than one year and the same scenario happens, the Variance will be posted to new year which is again issue, right?
Am I in the right direction?
    Please advice.
    Thank you,
    -Harter.

  • Error while copy of Update Rules from ODS 0SD_O03 to InfoCube 0SD_C13

    Hi all,
I work on a NW04s SPS9 System I would like to simply copy Update Rules (from an ODS to an InfoCube) from the BCT to the 1:1 Z-Copies of these Objects.
To do so, I copied the InfoProviders 0SD_O03 and 0SD_C13 to Z-Versions. In SAP BCT the InfoCube is updated from the ODS. The ODS itself is updated from InfoSource.
After successfully copying the two InfoProviders as next step I tried to copy the Update Rules from the Content version Objects to the Z-Version Objects to link them.
Similar to copying update rules in 3.5 I tried
    - right click on "ZSD_C13"
    - choose Additional Functions - Create Update Rules"
    - choose DataSource: ODS Object "ZSD_O03"
    - choose Copy from: InfoCube "0SD_C13"
This result in the error "0SD_C13 is not suitable as a template for copying update rules".
    Some hints that might help:
    1. The very same error occurs if I try to copy the Update Rules from 0SD_O03 to 0SD_C13.
    2. I also tried to copy both Update Rules (to C12 & C13) on a BW 3.5 system where it worked fine: The update rules from both Z-ODSs to both Z-Cubes were copied correctly 1:1 and without any errors.
    3. In the NW04s System I was able to copy the Update Rules from the InfoSource 2LIS_11_VAITM to 0SD_O01 (as well as from 2LIS_11_VAHDR to ODS 0SD_O03). So I only cannot copy Update Rules from ODSs to InfoCubes while it is possible to copy Update Rules from InfoSources to ODSs.
    4. During copy of 0SD_O03 the system warned: "InfoObject 0FISCVARNT needs to be in key for DataStore object ZSD_O03". No matter whether I move this IO to the keys of the Z-ODS, the Update Rules copy does not work.
    - This warning does not show up on BW3.5 when I copy the very same ODS. Can anyone explain this?
    - This warning is not displayed during the copy of ODS 0SD_O01, just for 0SD_O03.
    5. Obviously during a preceding test I actually must have been able to copy the Update Rules for another copy of 0SD_C13 (as I can see the Update Rules in the SAPGUI). I stopped this first test as I was not able to do the Update Rules copy for 0SD_C12.
Yet as of today I cannot copy Update Rules this for both cubes 0SD_C13 as well as 0SD_C12. So yesterday there was no error on copying the Update Rules to InfoCube ZSD_C13, but today there is. To my knowledge nothing has been changed in the System Setup / Customizing in the mean time.
    6. For both cubes ZSD_C13 as well as ZSD_C12 it is possible to copy Update Rules that map from the BCT ODS to the Z-InfoCbes. So I can copy Update Rules from 0SD_O03 to ZSD_C13 and from 0SD_O01 to ZSD_C12. This would point in the direction that the copied ODSes are the source of this behavior?
I am not sure whether this is a special NW04s behavior and how to use it correctly so the Update Rules can be copied.
Please could you help on how to copy these Update Rules in NW04s or share your experience if you had similar?
    Thanks a lot,
    Werner

    Hi Vinod,
Check the update rules for the original cube. Are they active? It appears that they contain a formula...check this too.
    Hope this helps...

  • Won't Automatically Move Messages from Group

    Hey Folks,
Poked around for a bit in the archive and didn't see this issue addressed (most filtering queries seemed to be about Junk, this concerns mail from recognized recipients). After an hour with AppleCare they sent me here to answer this query:
I've written several rules for filtering mail from recognized senders to folders on my .Mac account. I can successfully get messages from single individuals moved automatically to a designated folder, but I can't get any messages from any e-mail addresses moved automatically where the rule applies to more than one e-mail address. In the case of a rule set to apply to multiple addresses, all those e-mails go directly to my inbox (i.e. the rule fails, or doesn't apply). Or to put it another way, I can write a rule that says: "move messages from Gary to Folder:Gary" and messages from Gary will go directly to that folder, skipping my inbox. However, if the rule says "move messages from Groucho, Harpo and Zeppo to Folder:Marx_Brothers" e-mails from either Groucho, Harpo or Zeppo will not move to that folder, but will simply appear in my inbox.
I won't list the things I've tried, both on my own and with the AppleCare tech, as its kind of a long list.
Anyone having or had a similar problem with rules applying to multiple e-mails.
    Thanks very much,
    Dillon

    not quite the same:
to comply with your suggestion, I used the '+' feature and added each e-mail in its own field. That worked- it sent every e-mail entered in that rule to one box.
My question is whether there is a way to write the rule so I can copy and paste, from a list of 20+ addresses, every e-mail I want moved to that box into one field, as opposed to a separate field for each address. I'm just trying to save time as I sort through a lot of e-mail.
    Thanks again,
    Dillon

  • Movement   types  from  sd  point of view

does somebody have a list of movement  types   and   some  document   explaining  what  movement types  are  meant for   what?  from  sd  point of  view
    thank
    s.r.c
    [email protected]

    Movement types
Any movement of stock in SAP has a movement type , u can see the movement types in  T:code: OMJJ
As such a movement type is not directly related to any order type. But the combination of
order type + item category group ==> item category
    now
item category + MRP type ( from mat master) --- > Schedule line category.
The movement type is linked with schedule line category. As a thumb rule all Movement types from 601 to 699 belong purely to SD.
If u want to c the movement type related to that particular order go with the following path.
Hit the icon 'schedule line for the item' , in the following screen hit 'procurement push button' there u will find the movement type.
For each material movement, the system uses the movement type to determine the rules for updating the stock quantities and the stock values in the relevant G/L accounts.

If a purchase order item is flagged as a returns item in the stock transport order, you can post the goods receipt of the returns in the issuing plant with movement type 677.
    Possible special stock indicators:
    E, Q

671 Returns for stock transport order via Shipping
If a purchase order item is marked as a returns item in a stock transport order using movement type 641 when a goods receipt for a stock transport order ( 101) is posted, the return is posted to stock in transit using movement type 161. When the return arrives, the issuing plant posts the goods receipt for the return using movement type 671. Movement type 671 (like movement types 352 and 642) reduces the receiving plant's stock in transit and increases the issuing plant's unrestricted-use stock.

  • HT1657 Why are there no credits on movies rented from iTunes?

Can anyone tell why there are no credits (movie credits ) with movies rented from iTunes?

Amy, until the copyright holders for TV content in the UK authorize Apple to distribute, there is nothing Apple can do.
The only way to buy from another country's store is to have a credit card with a billing address from that specific country. Again, these rules are set by the copyright holders not Apple.

  • How do I save movies puchased from Apple as .avi file from Quick Time Pro?

Help! I've purchased Quick Time Pro in hopes of converting my movies purchased from I Tunes to .avi files so they would be viewable through a media player. I exported the movie as discribed through Quick Time Pro and upon completion only get a white screen with no sound when the .avi file is opened. I'm concerned because this was an Apple file to start with and the necessary codecs (or whatever I need) should be included in the Quick Time Pro. What's the deal? Thanks.

The terminology is known as "Fair Use" and the U.S. Supreme Court had to get involved to sort the mess out.
When the first VHS and BetaMax "recorders" allow people to capture TV broadcasts and use them as they see fit (view at a different time than intended) these new "rules" were established.
Today no one thinks twice to use these "time shifting" devices (TiVo and others) to first "record" and then fast forward through content (skipping the people that really pay for the distribution by bypassing the commercials).
When you buy a DVD the "rules" say you get the right to view it on a DVD player or on your computer (also using DVD player software).
But, even though you "bought it", you never get the rights to change, edit, modify or convert it to fit your Fair Use rights.
The original poster wanted to convert some one else's file to another format. Apple doesn't own it (it only "sells" it). QuickTime Pro can't be used because it follows these "rules" regarding true ownership of the content (the copyright holders).
Since they have only purchased the right to "view" the file in the format is was sold (CD, DVD or iTunes purchase) they do not get the right to convert or edit the file.

  • Move email from account to account

I need to have the ability on the iphone to move an email from one mail account to another....how can I do that?

If account 2 allows rules/filters, you could set a rule to move email from account 1 to a folder in account 2. You could then auto-forward account 1 to account 2. This would put any email sent to account 1 into the assigned folder in account 2.
Many, but not all email providers offer an auto-forward feature.

  • Automatically move mail from inbox after reply

I want to have rule that automatically moves email from my Inbox to a folder On my Mac after I reply to a message. This functionality is built into Smart Mailboxes but those won't actually move the email anywhere. Can this be done or is their a plugin/script out there perhaps?

rules only apply to incoming messages and won't work here. I don't think what you want is possible at all. any script you write would have to be manually activated after you reply to a message.

  • Outlook 2010 - mail item move rule between mailboxes

    Hi,
    I have Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2010 SP1 environment.
I'm having an issue with setting up a move rule to another shared mailbox to which the user has full permission on Outlook.
Whenever I try to set up a rule to move a specific item from a specific user, it throws the below error.
"the attempted operation failed. an object could not be found"
Is it possible to apply rules that move items between two different mailboxes? Also is it possible to apply a server-side rule with cmdlet?
    Cheers,
    John

    Hi John,
I have some tests in my environment using Exchange server 2010 with Outlook 2010. If you create a Inbox rule to redirect messages using OWA, you will have a copy of these messages on your mailbox.
If you create a transport rule to redirect messages that are sent to you, you won't have a copy of these messages on your mailbox.
    Hope my clarification is helpful.

How do i move icons from one page to another?

Tap and hold any icon for a couple of seconds. They'll all start to wobble. Tap and drag the one you want to move to the side of the screen and the next screen will appear; drop the icon on whatever screen you want it on.
You can also do it quicker in iTunes - connect the phone and click the Apps tab in the main window. You'll see a picture of your phone with the apps laid out. Just click and drag
