Move stuff from one iPad to a newer ipad

I have brought a new iPad and need to move all games, photos, data etc from my old iPad 2 to the new one... Is this possible and if so please tell me how.
Also my husband has a iPhone 4S and so do I. I need to transfer all his stuff from his phone to the iPad 2 and all my stuff to the new iPad. How can I do this this.
I know I sound really thick but somehow all my husbands work contacts got deleted from his phone and we have no idea how this happened so now I am very reluctant to do anything with any any of the phones or iPads.
We have 1 apple account as we only have 1 email account. I have been told that my husband needs to have his own apple account so I won't get his stuff on my phone and vice versa. How do I do this.......
My main priority is I do not lose my husbands phone numbers again so any help would be very much appreciated

You should have been syncing your contact with your computer all along. Just sync them from the computer to the new iphone.

Open old library.
Drag files from iTunes window to a folder on desktop then delete from iTunes.
Open the new library.
File > Add file/folder to library and select file/folders you want to move.

If you're both syncing from the same computer, on the same user account this will be incredibly easy. Just plug the iPod in, and it will automatically sync with the library, just make sure the preferences are alright.
If the songs are all on the computer, merely plugging in your new one and syncing will transfer all the songs.

We've just bought a new laptop. After I loaded iTunes I took the backup from the old desktop and installed it onto the laptop. When I connect the iPhone to the laptop it recognises the laptop, but doesn't show any details. How do I sync to the new library?

We had a hardware crash, and the server is not recoverable. We restored everything to a new server with a new host name. That is the only thing that has changed. I thought i found all the areas where the old host name was in the properties files and in configtool.
When I log into the portal, and look at System Managment - Administrator - Systems, its shows me the correct name and server, when I click on it, it says my instance name and id, with the incorrect (old server name). Where is this value stored?

Because of all the goofy apple ID issues yesterday, I ended up putting my stuff into the wrong iCloud account. I did eventually get an email for my main Apple ID account but contacts, etc were wiped off my devices because I had to sign out of the other iCloud account, which has all my contacts in it. Now I am back on my Mac. I meant the following: Batch Change the date for a large range of photos, that should have a date stepped in increments.
Select all Photos at once and use the command "Photos > Batch Change".
Then set the date for the first photo and select an increment, e.g. one minute.
Now all photos will get a new date assigned, incremented by one minute, in the sequence you have selected. So you will be able to sort them by date. This way it will be unnecessary to change the titles or filenames.

At the moment you can't - though it should be possible (if it makes it into the final release) in iOS 5 which will be available sometime in the Autumn. Photos cannot currently be moved between albums on the iPad.
If you sync separate folders from your computer you'll get an album for each of them on the iPad, and you have to sync all the folders/albums that you want together as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad (not including a folder in a sync is the way that you delete it from the iPad).

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

One way would be to e-mail them from yourself to yourself. That would totally avoid the different ID issue.
