Move to functionality is erratic

The Move To function is kind of erratic. When i move the mouse over the list and select inbox another list pops up, and when I try to move into that list it does not stay visible, it disappears quick

This works for me. I think you accidentally move out of the box with the names of the folders. If you are sure you stay between the lines, maybe you have an add-on that causes this. Try running Thunderbird in safe-mode and see if Move to still doesn't work right for your inbox...

InDesign copy, cut or move box functions don't work

I am having trouble with the copy, cut and move box commands. When a text or shape box is active, I cannot move it with the cursor. It will move if I use the arrow keys, but the box behaves like it were "locked." I deleted my preferences, but that makes no difference. This problem persists whether I am in an existing ID document, or if I start a new one.
The copy and cut functions don't work either.

Of course replacing your prefs is a possibility, and has nothing to do with the need to force quit (but will probably cure it). Replacing prefs is done with the application closed, either using the keyboard combination as you relaunch, or by deleting or renaming the specified files, both ow hich are desribed inthe link in the previous post.
You posted that you had already deleted the prefs, I believe, but many users are not aware they can use the keyboard or that there are two files involved for ID and are not successful, and thus think repacing the the prefs is not going to solve the problem. Hence my previous question. Did you use one of the methods in the link?

I-Movie: Clip-Functions don't work

I'm working on I-Movie and i'm trying since three days to edit my videos with the functions under the menue point "Clip", but this isn't just possible. All the functions under "Clip" are inactive (shown in a light grey) and i can't use any of them.
I've already unlocked all the clips i've imported (the format of the is .avi), i've marked them to edit them, but there seems no working solution.
Any suggestions to solve the problem?

Add video to your project
1. Open an existing project by double-clicking it (don’t click the project’s name directly) in the Project
Library.
If you don’t see the Project Library, click the Project Library button
You select an Event by clicking its name once. The Event footage appears in the Event browser to the
right of the Event Library.
2. In the Event Library, select an Event whose footage you want to add to your project.
If you don’t see the Event Library, click the Event Library button, which is typically located in the lowerleft
corner of the iMovie window.
3. In the Event browser, select a range of video frames or an entire video clip.
To select an entire video clip, hold down the Shift key and click the clip once, so that it’s outlined in
yellow.
To select a portion of a clip (called a frame range), drag across any clip while you hold down the button
on your mouse or trackpad. Selected frames are outlined in yellow.
4. Drag your video selection to the Project browser.
You drag by holding down the button on your mouse or trackpad as you move the selected clip to the
Project browser. You can drag it anywhere: to the beginning or end of the project, or between clips
you’ve already added. A vertical green line, along with a green Add symbol, appears anywhere you
can place the clip.
Once video is added to the Project Browser window, it may just be the case that the Clip Menu becomes available, and everything will not be grayed out but working as you expect it to.

Lost the paste and move text function in Pages '09 also suddenly can't open .doc or .docx files

A few days ago I lost the ability to open .doc or .docx files in Pages '09 version 4.3.
Today I find that I can not paste or move text within Pages.
I updated everything yesterday and still no luck.
Help....

A Google search using the terms <document "could not be opened" iwork"> turns up two possible solutions:
Pages '09 refuses to create/open existing doc after Lion upgrade
Re: The document “navidad.numbers” could not be opened.
The first discussion's solution is to delete/reinstall/update iWork. The second is to edit the underlying code within the document and remove any Unicode characters.
I recommend you go with solution no. 1. Use Yvan Koenig's script to delete iWork completely (see below), then reinstall and update iWork before attempting to open a Word document. Then let us know how you went.

Loaded movie loses functionality

I have a movie called pageturn.swf and is loaded in this
order....................First my main timeline is loaded , which
is an animation.....at the end of the animation, my first movie is
loaded with "loadMovie("movie2.swf"); at the end of this movie my
third movie is loaded. ....In my third movie I have three
navigation points and on one point when a button is click it takes
the user to the the frame label and loads my page turn.swf
movie........so.......I've gone from
Main timeline
->movie1->movie2->movie3->pageturn.swf.
I have a btn that resides in pageturn.swf that takes the
navigation back to movie 3 or the "start" frame label. The
pageturn.swf works the first time BUT pageturn.swf doesnt work when
I try and open it again. It works the first time, then just doesnt
do anything, sometimes when I test export, sometimes it will work
but just not all the time like I would want it. I tried placing the
unloadmovie at the end of the page turn exit but it does not fix
the problem. below is what I have when it exits

I think the problem is the use of attachSound in an
externally loaded movie.
attachSound (Sound.attachSound method)
public attachSound(id:String) : Void
Attaches the sound specified in the id parameter to the

object. The sound must be in the library of the current SWF
file and
specified for export in the Linkage Properties dialog box.
You must call
Sound.start() to start playing the sound.
To make sure that the sound can be controlled from any scene
in the SWF
file, place the sound on the main Timeline of the SWF file.

E5 - Move email function disappeared

I got a new E5 for business about 3 weeks ago. Managed to setup okay to access corporate email account using Mail For Exchange. All worked well until about a week ago, when I noticed that the "Move" email feature had gone. I had been reading emails and then filing them, and was really pleased that all my email folders from my laptop were available for filing on the phone.
The only thing I can remember that has changed is a software upgrade about a week ago, but stupidly cannot remember what the upgrade was ! It was after logging on via wifi for the first time, and I simply agreed and left it to get on with it. Not sure if that is the cause, but timing is similar.
Anyone any ideas - I can't find similar reports online and my IT dept are at a loss (and tired of seeing me I suspect !). Thanks.

I found that I've got the same problem on my E72 since the upgrade. It looks like it has been taken off. A colleague of mine also has lost it (E5). Maybe Nokia could put it back in the next update. This is only Mail for Exchange, and that other e-mail accounts, it still exists.

"Move Towards" Function

I've just written a couple of methods, which tell an object to move directly towards an x,y position at a given speed. Just wanted to know if this would be deemed a good way to go about it or if I'm missing some obvious quick solution. Here's what I've written:

Can we move SAP R/3 standard Function Groups, SAP Tables to BW

Dear Forum,
We are in a pilot process of migrating SAP R/3 Custom development objects to our BW client and we have a few questions that we would like to know if possible.
We are currently in the To Be Blueprint Phase of migrating SAP 45B to ERP2005 as a Ramp-Up customer and we need to determine as soon as possible the feasibility of moving one particular Custom application from our SAP R/3 environment to BW.
This application primarily performs computational processing and does reporting of the results at the
conclusion
We have selected one Custom R/3 ABAP program to do a pilot to determine the feasibility of migrating it to the BW platform. This Custom program utilizes objects from standard SAP Function Groups which are non existent in BW. In this particular case SAP Function groups KMS0 (Cost Center Selection) and KAB2 (CO Reporting: General).
Questions:
Are we allowed to move these 2 standard SAP Function Groups to BW ?
Would it alter the BW environment integrity as intended and designed by SAP?
If we move the Function Group KMS0 and KAB2 will SAP support our BW environment if we decide to move them?
Would it be considered a SAP Best Practice to move standard SAP R/3
objects to BW?

First many thanks for such a quick response and as you mentioned it would be almost necessary to port over a few objects from SAP to make it work.
Would be safe to assume that we should not try to import standard SAP objects to a BW installation in order to make provide the same functionality as R/3 System ?

Rollover event not playing movie in buttons/gotoandPlay function not playing frames

This web site has 7 buttons (each button plays a different movie/each movie(.flv) has a stop action at frame 1). The first 3 buttons (button set 1) exist on the timeline from frames 1 to 28. Frame 29 has a blank key frame for the 1st 3 buttons. There is action script for the 3 buttons in frame 1. Next 4 buttons (button set 2) exist on the timeline from frame 30 to 90 as well action script.
The stop actions are at frames 29,50,69,90. Labels are at frames 1,30,51,70. When testing the movie button set 1 functions as expected (the rollover event for each button plays its movie and selecting the button plays the correct frame) . Button set 2 is not working (the rollover event for each button is not playing the movie and selecting the button does not play the frame)

This is my 1st attempt at an interactive project like this and am not sure how to make all the pieces work together. My action script is included below. I would appreciate a breakdown of why the movies are not playing as well as the gotoandPlay function for button set 2 and how can this be fixed. No errors are reported when I test the movie the buttons for button set 2 just do not function.

Steps tried so far to troubleshoot functionality of buttons in 2nd set:
-         Recreated the .flvs for all buttons in 2nd set. Re-imported to flash and swapped with existing video
-         Thru event generator generated rollover and rollout code for each button
-         Commented out the stop action for each video (stop actions remained active on main timeline on stage)
-         Retested movie – video continuously looped on all buttons in 2nd set, GoToAndPlay function still not working
-         In addition to the commented out stop actions for each video also commented out stop actions on main timeline for buttons in 2nd set
-         Retested movie – Rollover functionality which causes the video to play works; GoToAndPlay function plays the correct frame but continues to play through to end of timeline

I am replicating some of the sample report of SQL Servers in BusinessObjects XI R3.1.
One of the SQL Sever's report is of product catalogue type that gives complete information like name, category, description along with the products image etc... for each of the products.
I am trying to replicate the above said SQL Server report in Business objects XI R3.1. I am facing problem in bringing the image in to my BO report. The image resides in a table and its datatype is of varbinary(max). I don't know the exact matching while creating an object in the uiverse designer.

I am trying to create aggregate measure in RPD and use that in report. The above function works fine when I use that in report but when I tried to create a measure in RPD its giving syntax error.
Can anyone please help me to create the measure in RPD? Is there any change of syntax for sum by function if we use in RPD?

Is there a way to move files from one folder to another without copying and pasting and then going back to delete the original?

Drag the files, or press Option when pasting them; this accesses the Move To function.

ECC 6.0 Questions on New Business Partner Standard Address Functionality.

Hello.
We are upgrading our client from 4.72 to ECC6.0 and in the UAT testing phase.
Where before in 4.72 the Standard Mailing address was determined by a simple radio button, it appears that they have gone to a time dependent type of format which is causing issues with our client.
I have a few questions surrounding this piece.
1) Enabling 'Address Usage' : On the Address Overview Tab in FPP2/FPP3, How can we enable the 'Address Usage' box that is under the 'Address Overview' Box?
2) Determining Standard Address on Address Overview: For accounts brought over in the upgrade, the Valid From/Valid To Dates on the Address Overview are defaulted 01/01/0001 to 12/31/9999. How can the user now tell which is the default address without having to go to the Address Tab?
3) Reversing Standard Address Change: Our client has a business scenario that occurs often in which the a customer may call in to change their Standard mailing address. Then the customer calls back at a later time and decides they wanted to reverse back to the original address. We have gone through this scenario using the Move button to move in the new address, which changes the standard address, then subsequently use the Move > Reverse functionality. It appears to change the on the Address overview tab but does not save on the Address Tab.
4) Effective Date Change: In 4.72 the client had the ability to change any characteristic of the BP on a certain day. For example wanting to change the Standard address, Name, Phone on a day in the future. So they would pick that day in the future, and the planned change would occur on that day. We cannot find that functionality in the current ECC 6.0.
