Move to my pictures/my documents from photoshop

I am going to All Programs to start Adobe Photoshop Starter Album Edition 3.0. Once there, my pictures automatically pop up. I need to move these photos from "My catalog" that pops up to My Pictures in the My Documents folder. Could someone please walk me through the steps to do this? OR even better would be to tell me (if there is a way) how to move the photos to the walmart.com site so I can have the pictures printed.

Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition doesn't store your images, rather it stores the location of your images in MyCatalog.psa . So to find the location of any image,right click on its thumbnail and select "Properties". In the properties dialog box, you will see a folder icon at the bottom next to which you will find the image file location. Clicking on the folder icon will lead you to the location.
having located your image files once, you can move them wherever you want to.

ok, i've just run a specific test.
1 - Online, ensure that mail is sync'd
2 - Disable network connection, confirm that mail has moved to offline mode
3 - Delete 20 messages in a folder
4 - Conifm they have been deleted (whilst still offline)
5 - Re-enable network connection, leave machine alone for 5 minutes
6 - Confirm that messages haven't been deleted and are still in the folder untouched
7 - Whilst still online, try to delete one or more of the messages, they vanish for a moment, then re-appear
8 - ***
Can replicate this at will......surely this isn't just me?

Having a problem moving a text document from Photoshop to Illustrator.. Won't let me edit the text

I'm a complete technophobe so the answer to this could be quite obvious. I had to create a text using photoshop because of the inside of the text... i.e using a lobster font and it was pink glitter inside it so to give a girly effect.. It's for a college asignment.
I have to use illustrator CS6 to put that text on a b/ground I already made in Illustrator but the .psd doc won't let me edit it in illustrator, it's almost like a PDF. Help!
I hope it's not too confusing to understand, thanks in advance.

You may, in front of the overall background (which you may lock or hide):
1) Create a background with the appearance you wish to apply to the letters, such as a solid cpolour, a gradient or other clolour transition, and some pink glitter in front of it, you may Group all this for convenience; and you may use raster artwork (maybe from Photoshop) if you like;
2) With the Type Tool create the live Type on top of 1), you may move and size it to fit (roughly);
3) Select 1) and 2) and Object>Clipping Mask>Make; 2) will become the (invisible) Clipping Path showing the parts of 1) that are behind it and hide the rest.
As mentioned, you may Direct Select 1) or 2) and edit or move them about relative to the background and each other.

Importing Pictures and Tags from Photoshop Album 2.0 to IPhoto

I will be getting a new imac in a few days and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way I can import all my photos from Photoshop Album 2.0 to iphoto'08 without losing the tags I already created for each photo (pulling the tags in and having them automatically set up as Keywords)?

I've managed to transfer all my Photoshop Album (PSA) tags to iPhoto. At this (http://www.cv2h.com/PSA2iPhoto/Welcome.html) little webpage you can read how I did it and download the files you need. It's not very hard to do.
In short: the PSA "My Catalog.psa" file is a Microsoft Access file. It's easy to export the necessary data from it as XML. After that it's necessary to convert the binary references to the tags to readable references in the Images file. Then, generate an applescript that tells iPhoto what tags to add to which photo. Then, execute the applescript and you're done.

Name new documents from photoshop action?

I have created an action that generates two new documents from parts of the original, I have done this many times creating one but never creating two documents and for some reason both my new documents end up with the same name.
In my action when the first document is created the command looks like this:
Make
New: document
Name: "PhotoPart1"
Preset: "Clipboard"
For the second new document it looks like this:
Make
New: document
Name: "PhotoPart2"
Preset: "Clipboard"
But when I run the action both new documents are called "PhotoPart2"
Hope someone can help me figure out why or perhaps a way to rename a document from within an action

How do I move a numbers or pages document from iCloud back to my Mac desktop?

I had no trouble dragging a couple documents to the iCloud for summer travel purposes. But now I wish to have these documents back on my iMac desktop and this is not working out to be so easy to do? How do I get them back to my desktop only? They don't seem to drag that way.

You could open each document in Pages or Numbers and use the command "File > Move to" to relocate them to a local folder on your Mac.

What is "Adobe"? What documents? What system? You need to be much more specific.

Although I miss MMS from my previous cell phone I am quickly getting over it with the use of my email accounts. BUT how do we save the stuff we receive??? Apple had to know we might want to keep something we get via email....

Okay, you're right. I read it not thinking about inside the iPhone but as a whole. You can't save on iPhone but since it was sent to your email you could save it there and then back to the iPhone via sync. Right?

From photoshop to Lightroom

I sometimes export a picture to lightroom from photoshop, to do some editing on the it. When I close the picture, sometimes it works good : it ask me if I want to save the change in the picture, I click yes, and my picture with the editing is back close to the original in Lightroom. Sometimes, as a Jpeg format, which is good, but sometimes as a Tiff format, and don't know why!!! And sometimes, it doesn't work at all. The picture appears as a Psd format, and it want to "save it as" somewhere in my computer and not in lightroom. What do I do wrong?

This is our resident iPhoto guru, Terence Devlin's, advice:
You can move your iPhoto Library to an external or secondary internal disk:
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library Folder as an entity from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Which operating system are you running on?
The date & Time can be displayed by going to the View menu and checking Details - also File Names if you want them displayed.
The Album information is saved within the catalog so it sounds as though you didn't do a catalog backup on the old computer and a catalog restore on the new computer which is the recommended way of transferring elements data. Did you just copy the photos over?

You want to always use iPhoto with a default referenced library (the preference to copy imported item to the iPhoto library is checked) ad then delete the source photos

To save a single PDF document on iPad to Acrobat.com (i.e. one document at a time)
Open a PDF document in Adobe Reader for iOS.
Tap anywhere in the document to display the toolbar.
Tap this icon in the toolbar.
Select "Save to Acrobat.com".
If prompted, sign in with your Adobe ID.
If you want to transfer a lot of PDF documents on your iPad to any cloud storage service, you can transfer them to your Windows/Mac desktop computer using iTunes first.

Can't move document from one folder to another

In the previous incarnation of Pages, right when it first developed Folders (a long overdue development), I was able to easily move a document from one folder to another on my MacBook, as well as my iPad.
Now, whenever I grab a document and try to drag and drop it into a new folder to move it, it won't let.
Did Apple actually remove this functionality from Pages?

Didn't have the Yosemite MBA powered up, so verified this on Mavericks with Pages v5.2.2. Since Apple has essentially frozen the Pages v5 codebase, figured this would also work on Yosemite.
Any application (e.g. TextEdit) that takes advantage of this titlebar feature can move documents in this manner.
In the Finder, you can move a document from one location to another by depressing the command key while dragging the file.
In Pages v5.2.2, with the document chooser open, I can use the preceding sentence move technique to move a file from an open folder into the Pages document chooser and it will automatically switch the Pages document chooser to inside that external folder — without launching the document. But, the command+drag feature does not work to move a document visible in the Pages v5.2.2 document chooser to another Finder location, or even into a folder visible within the document chooser.
