Hi, everyone. I have 2 7850s in crossfire and using the (015.025.000.001.000861) gop bios. I've also modified my stock gpu and memory speed from 900/1200 to 925/1375 using VBE7. And I was wondering if there's a way to modify my stock memory voltage as well? Both of my cards has the (Hynix H5GQ2H24AFR) memory which seems to top out at 1375mhz which is quite low compared to some 7850 that have the (Hynix H5GQ2H24MFR) version of memory. I'm planning to overvolt my gpu memory to reach 1500mhz. Both of my card's warranty are already void so I don't really mind bricking one of them. Thanks.

  • Can MSI Radeon 7850 twin frozr III be used on MCP73M01H1 (Napa) ?

    Hi guys,
I just bought new graphic card (msi radeon hd 7850 twin frozr 2gb) and seasonic 650W power supply today.
And when I put them together with other hardwares and turn on the power, the monitor doesn't not detect any signal (dvi).
so I switched the dvi cable to the on-board graphic card then the monitor can display but the device manager only detects ob board graphic card.
then I put back gt 130 and it works perfectly as before.
then I tried putting 7850 back then same issue (monitor doesn't detect anything)
I can see the fans are running on 7850. My friend tested it with his computer and it's working fine...
    Help pls?
    My current specs are :
    Monitor: HP 2309m (1920x1080)
    Motherboard: MCP73M01H1 (Napa)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66 GHz
    Memory: 4 GB PC2-6400
Graphic card: msi radeon 7850 twin frozr III oc 2gb (previous one: GT 130 768MB)
PSU: seasonic 650W (previous one: 350W)

Yea. I've posted on their forum as well. But I was hoping the graphic card manufacturer will have info about the list of motherboards that support Radeon 7850 ??

  • 7850 Twin Frozr III UEFI bios doesn't work with CSM mode off

Hello, everyone! I'm using two 7850 twin frozr III with both having the 050 serial numbers and I've flashed both of my cards with the 050 uefi bios provided somewhere in this forum. The system works fine on legacy boot mode but the problem is that, whenever I turn off the CSM option in the bios to try and boot in fast boot, the system just won't boot. Kinda like no video or something.
    Here's my system specs:
Asus m5a99x evo r2.0 motherboard (with the latest bios)
2x 7850 Twin Frozr III in crossfire
    Phenom II 965 Processor
    8gb of ram (dual channel)
    650w 80+ bronze PSU
    2x 500gb WD Hard disk

    Hello!
Thank you very much for your answers, my friends.
What troubles me is the fact that I have no real way of measuring the VRM temperatures; I don't think that the GPU Core temperature is the thermal bottleneck, in this case, or is it?
Let me know what you guys think, please!
Thats why if your card doesnt has VRM monitoring sensor then I suggest keep daily OC voltage under 1.1volt  such as 1.075volt at 930/1050, that was my stable daily OC with MSI GTX570 TFII OC. Although 1.1volt for daily OC is safe also.

  • Uefi gop request for MSI Radeon HD 7850 Twin Frozr III 2GDR5/OC

    serial nº: 602-v273-01sb1203081664
can't access the VBIOS because my GPU fails if I don't use safe mode, and I can't use GPUZ in safe mode.
Columns of weird artifacts all over my screen.
    Thanks in advance.

Then you first need to fix the issue before considering to flash it. Follow >>Posting Guide<<. did you update your vbios before?

  • Requesting UEFI GOP VBIOS for MSI Radeon HD 7850 Twin Frozr III 2GB GDDR5 OC

I've got two of these cards.
    Serial Numbers:
    602-V273-050B1212086274
    602-V273-050B1212085579
Also, what is the easiest way to flash my cards?  It looks like atiflash can only be used from a DOS boot disk, and I don't know where I can get DOS boot files.  Is there an easier way to do it?  Perhaps from within Windows?  I flashed my nvidia card from within Windows without any trouble.
    Thanks much!

  • UEFI GOP VBIOS MSI 7850 TWIN FROZR III 2GD5/OC

    Hello,
was wondering about the latest Bios for my card:
    S/N V273-050B1303033755
    Thanks for your help!
    Tom

    Use the attached.
Create a bootable usb stick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0).
Then unpack the provided archive (150.rar) and put the included file (TV273MH.150) on that stick.
Rename TV273MH.150 to 150.rom. Put the atiflash.exe also included in the archive on the USB stick too. Now boot from the stick.
Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 150.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios.

  • MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC memory clock?

I have had an MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC for about 6 months now and have used MSI Afterburner to monitor temps etc. Today I used it to lower my overclocking as others had said Ghost Recon Future Soldier doesn't crash if you take it off.
If you look at the MSI product page for the card (the forum won't let me post a link to it!?) you can see the Memory Clock Speed(MHz) says 4000 yet in Afterburner mine said 2000Mhz and the slider was in the middle. I am pretty sure there is no multiplier at work here so mine wasn't being overclocked?
Any ideas? I have reduced it down to 1800Mhz and GRFS doesn't crash anymore but can I take it up to 4000Mhz safely in future? I do not want to overload the card.

you have multiply the memory value x2 to get the effective speed

    Hi,
I have purchased the MSI 6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition.
I was wondering if it can be unlocked to the 6970 shaders? Thanks.
OK, HERE IS THE SKIVY, THE MSI R6950 TWIN FROZER 3 PE OC 2GIG, DOES UNLOCK, I FLASHED THE CARD WITH SUPPLIED BIOS FROM MSI, R6950PEX.BIN IT UNLOCKS ALL, VOLTAGE CORE, OVERCLOCK, ETC.  I DID NOT SEE ANY CHANGE HOWEVER IN THE SHADERS, MY GPU-Z IS THE UP TO DATE VERSION. SO NOT SURE IF THEY UNLOCK OR NOT. I ALSO PURPOSELY FLASHED A 6970 BIOS, ON THE CARD AS WELL // CRASHED IT. FLICKED THE **BIOS SWITCH** & BOOM IT BOOTS UP NO PROBLEM, IN WINDOWS, RUNNING, I SWITCHED IT BACK, & REFLASHED THE ORIGINAL BIOS OVER THE 6970 BIOS.....SO FAR EVERYTHING WORKS  AWESOME // GREAT DESIGN HERE....THIS IS MY FIRST RADEON BASED CARD IN LIKE 15 YEARS // GONNA PLAY SOME MORE & I WILL REPOST WHEN I FIGURE OUT THE SHADERS.........MrStude2r5

  • Geforce GTX 570 Twin Frozr III PE/OC and BSOD

    Hi,
I have an MSI Geforce GTX 570 Twin Frozr III PE/OC which appears to be causing system instability (graphical corruption upon boot i.e before windows), and BSOD. It typically occurs from a cold boot resulting in BSOD after the Windows logo. This will occur 2-3 times. The system then runs stably.
I have tracked this problem down to this card when running at x16 mode in my primary PCIe slot (slot 2, x16_1) on my motherboard. It does not occur if the card is in slot 5 (x16_2) where it only runs at x8 speed (2.5Gb/s rather than 5Gb/s). This does not occur if I place a borrowed Geforce GTX 260 in the primary PCIe slot (it runs at x16 fine and causes no such system instability).
I have tried out various mobo BIOS updates, checked all my system files, updated (and rolled back) my NVIDIA drivers, and checked my memory for errors with Memtest 86+. I cannot find any updates to my video card BIOS.
Can I assume the card is faulty, or does anyone have any other possible solutions?
    Spec is:
    Windows 7 64-bit
    Intel I5-2500K
    Asus P8Z68V-Gen 3 mobo
    8Gb Corsair DDR3 1800 mem
MSI Geforce GTX Twin Frozr III PE/OC
    Cheers!

Its a Corsair 750TX V2 (750 watt). I am also running 1 SSD, 2 hard drives and a blue-ray optical drive. You don't think its too much for the PSU do you?
    The PSU its plenty enough
    Quote
No I haven't tried it on another computer and I don't think its very likely I'll get the chance.
there is not much options then, except to RMA the card and to hope the problem to be there.
    [else the problem will remain]
