Updated my BIOS a few days ago, now there is no way to OC. From what I understand I enable "My OC Genie" but that option isnt even availible. No way to change multiplier or voltage. Plus a few other things.

Renamed secondary site accidentally, communication error-set back to old name. try to retry secondary site install Error: site system role or site server role already installed.
However i have removed SQL express and also deleted registry entery from HKLM/MICROSOFT/SOFTWARE/SMS. I am trying to remove system center configuration secondary site setup from control panel and its not letting me to do so.
Please advice. Your help will be appreciated.

It sounds like you've broke everything you could find.... Not sure how you can accidently rename a server, or why you would remove all settings manually first without using the setup (from the control panel).
If that specific server is only used for ConfigMgr I wouldn't spend to much time on it anymore and simply reinstall the server and than reinstall the site.

  • Problem overclocking memory with G45 Z87

    Hello.
I have a G45 Gaming with an i4770k and a 8 Gb (2 x 4Gb) Kingston HyperX Predator  Kit rated at 2666 Mhz. I can overclock my CPU without any issue (I'm currently at 4 Ghz), but I'm unable to make my memory run higher than 2400 Mhz. If I load the XMP profile that sets 2.4 Ghz it will work just right, but if I load the XMP profile that sets 2.66 Ghz it will not boot (I'll just get that generic 'overclocking failed ...' message). If I enable OC Genie, same thing : it will set 2.4 Ghz as memory freq. I'm fairly new at this, so any tip would be great. There's probably no discernable difference between 2.4 and 2.6, but I'd still love to get what I paid for.
    Thank you

Try setting them up manually to the manufacturer's recommended settings. Set I/O to 1.07v, SA to 0.965v-0.975v. RAM OC at that level depends upon the CPU IMC ability. With a CPU OC, some Haswell's just won't allow that big a RAM OC.

  • HT1766 I accidentally clicked restore from an old back up

I accidentally clicked restore from an old back up, which I really didn't want to cause I haven't backed up my new iphone. But everything is already done, is there anyway I can go back to previous setting??

Apps/music/video/etc are NOT part of the backup that itunes performs when syncing.  He should be transferring those to his computer regularly.
Open itunes on the computer, look under Quick Links, and click Purchased.  You should be able to re-download them there.

I/O is ridiculously high. I can run Corsair RAM at 2800 on only I/O of 1.09v's, SA 0.970v's. Bernhard is right, '1.52v's' on the CPU is 'Absolute Max.', and the industry recommendation is not to exceed '1.400v's'.
Nominal DRAM V. for the platform is 'not' 1.65v's, but 1.50v's + or - 0.075v's. Your RAM sounds like overvolted, undertimed, overated RAM.
GT is the onboard graphics. GT ratio 32 is about all it can handle on default voltage.
It's your stuff, if you want to test higher, the risk to the components and lifespan is all up to you.
I think Bernhard wanted to link the Gen3 CPU datasheet rather than the Gen2.
I found datasheet for third gen of intel core, exact
G.skill ddr3 pc17000 is delivered with nominal voltage 1.65v for 2133Mhz, where is problem ?  I've just made 3 hours of occt  at 2600mhz, not tested higher for now
So I/o in auto mode is really too high with 1.25V ? so i took this voltage as nominal reference
Not so easy to overclock ivy bridge, I 'll stop to search highest frequency, 4,6Ghz even with 1.36V is not stable in occt with too high core temps 80°C, so sa xmad sayed, 4.5Ghz is a nice overclock
I'll try to optimise DDR speed and timing now.
    Thanks for answers

  • BT Infinite date set back?

I live in the High Wycombe area.
I saw infinite and was happy.
Date for live was in October.
Then set back for Dec 31st
and now set back to March
Is there a ligit reason for this.
or is it to build in customers quick thinking that the date is close but then saying its in 3 months time.?
    Whats going on?

My suggestion is update to the latest BIOS since it's improved RAM compatibility.
And see this compatibility report for OC memory, but crucial only tho..

How do i restore my wifi setting back to the factory settings? I have changed it somehow :/ and now my wifi will not connect. My Airport is on and showing full strength but will not connect.

Ok, if other devices are connecting but just not your MacBook then let's start troubleshooting the MacBook to possibly find out why.
Please try each of the following, in order, until hopefully resolved:
Note the following are excerpts from an OS X Daily article.
    * Turn Airport on & off – You can do this via the Airport menu bar or from the Network Preferences. This is the first thing you should try when troubleshooting Mac wireless problems.
    * Make sure Wireless/Airport card software & firmware is up to date – This is usually done just by going to the Software Update menu, if there are any updates available for your Mac or Airport, install them.
    * Delete and recreate connection – Try deleting and recreating/reestablishing the wireless connection, sometimes a setting can be corrupted and this may fix it.
    * Create a new Network Location – Similar to the above suggestion, try creating a new and different wireless network location to see if it resolves the connection problems.
    * Change DHCP auto settings to manual – sometimes there is a problem with the DHCP server, and if you manually set an IP address on the network you can be fine. Remember to set the IP to a high number so it wouldn’t interfere with other DHCP machines. As long as you have the subnet mask, router, and DNS settings configured manually as well, this shouldn’t be a problem.
    * Flush the DNS cache – Launch the Terminal and enter the following command onto one full line within the Terminal: dscacheutil -flushcache
    * Zap the PRAM – Reboot your Mac and hold Command+Option+P+R during restart until you hear another chime, let the Mac boot as usual.
    * Delete Wireless Config files – Delete com.apple.internetconfigpriv.plist and com.apple.internetconfig.plist files from ~/Library/Preferences and reboot
    * Trash your home directories SystemConfiguration – Remove all files within ~/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ and then reboot your Mac.
    * Reset your Mac’s System Management Controller (SMC) – For MacBook and MacBook Pro’s: Shutdown the MacBook/Pro, remove the battery, disconnect the power, hold the Power Key for 15 seconds. Replace the battery, reconnect power, and zap the PRAM and wait for 2 chimes before letting the keys go. Let boot as usual.

I made a big mistake to change the setting of my Mac book pro to "me only". Now ofcourse It cannot open the login page, for how would the mac know it is me? How can I change the setting back to "everyone"? I have back up in the past but the last month I have not. I really want to keep the data.
So how can I go in and change the setting, It stays ofcourse at the apple screen with wheel. All info is there and the computer works fine, just cannot use it or have been able to log in.

wjosten is spot on.  If you really want iCloud, then you will need to acquire a new or second hand MBP that can run Lion.
    Ciao.

  • If I change the nation setting of my iTunes in order to buy a song from the American iTunes store, then change my setting back to the Korean store (where you cannot buy music) will that create any problems with my downloaded content?

If I change the nation setting of my iTunes in order to buy a song from the American iTunes store, then change my setting back to the Korean store (where you cannot buy music) will that create any problems with my downloaded content? I want to buy an album that I cannot get hold of in Korea, but it is available in the US iTunes store. However since most of my apps are downloaded from the Korean store I'll need to switch back in order to update them. Does anyone know if there are any issues in doing this. I'd rather find out before I spend money, change my store setting back to Korea, and then get told I can't listen to the music because I bought it from the US store and my iTunes is set to the Korean store.
    Cheers.

You canot easily change your country settings.  The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store.  You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance." - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE
