Dear fellows,
I was able to overclock my RS480M2-IL and so can you, with the help of a nifty tool available at http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php.
Download Clockgen for ICS951412 Ver-1.02 from this site, unzip the contents to a folder & run CG-ICS951412.exe provided in the downloaded zip.
Push the radio button 'Get Values".
Then push the slider given above the radio buttons to left to underclock or right to overclock.
I overclocked my 3200+ Winchester from 2000 MHz to 2200 MHz..... and guess what..!! it also works properly with 'cool & quite' without causing any problem.
At least something is better than nothing.....!!!!!

I can no longer see the status bar, you (MF) replaced it with the annoying little fuckery box.
This is not the first time you (MF) have changed GUI without user forwarn or other incline.
I suffer Geumaphobia and Arithmophobia (shapes not hygine...ie.rounded teeth and edges bath shapes and un-broken eggs seen on plain perspective), how can i now use your product that was forced onto me (due to lack of public/then personal confidence in other browsers) via browser choice selection on Windows (MS) ? It makes me heave.

A number of people have received similar messages in error. However their email doesn't usually get blocked. If you have confirmed that it is indeed blocked by sending yourself a test message, you will need to contact Support.
If you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support and you may be asked to pay a fee. You should insist that this is a problem they have caused and you shouldn't be charged.

Yeah, clockgen will get the rs480 up to 220Mhz no problem. But CPUFSB will get the same board up to 228Mhz (search for podien.de for the cpufsb prog). But choosing the clock chip/crystal is manual and critical - select the 951412 version. My system running cpufsb on the MSI mobo @ 228fsb rock steady with PC4200 ram for a month now.
BTW, the ECS version of the RS480 mobo (which I now have) can go up to 250Mhz in the bios but didn't like the (expensive) OCZ PC4200 ram I used on the MSI rs480. System wouldn't evem boot to the bios screen - just one long unhappy beep. I was annoyed at this as the ram was v.expensive. So invest in 2 sticks of fast mushkin PC3200 ram, and now can run the ECS at fsb of 250 Mhz and stable running a Wnchester 3200. But I needed to lower the DRAM configure down from 200Mhz to 166Mhz. Everthing runs fine and stable. Only drawback to the ECS board is the limitation of just 2 memory slots.
Finally, upgrading from the MSI version of the RS480 to the ECS version was a cinch - the new ECS system recognised all the previous MSI settings and hardware and booted straight straight through to the OS. But now I;ve got 4 sticks of PC4200 ram I need to offload on Ebay....
I sure would like to know why the PC4200 ram couldn't handle the ECS board - it shoudl be useable up to 260Mhz.

if you have a MSI motherboard look on the driver cd. maybe you can find corecenter. if you cant find it. use clockgen for increasing HTT bus speed, A64tweaker for regulating anything that has to do with memory, and use a program like speedfan or smartguardian to control your fans and temps. good luck.

I'm exhausted of trying to find a solution to a problem created by Apple. I have moved to iCloud, following your instructions and now I can not use my mobileme e-mail address. How can I contact directly with Apple, not just an automatic reply phone number

I'm exhausted of trying to find a solution to a problem created by Apple. I have moved to icloud following all your instructions and now I can not use my mobile me e-mail address. I can not activate icloud because when I put my e-mail address it answers that somebody is already using my address. I have my old e-mails, but I can not receive any e-mail or send them.
I have contacted Apple Technical Support in Spain and I was sent an e-mail saying that I have to call a phone number and when I call it is always an answering machine who answers that says that I have to pay 50€ for a consultation or wait for 10 minutes. When I have made the consultation it was never mentioned that I have to pay 50€ for a phone consultation. If I don't want to wait I have to pay for the Apple Tecnical Support which cost 250 €, this was not mentioned in the technical support page.
Can somebody let me know how can I contact Apple in another way in order to talk with a human being or chat directly? I was very happy just using my mobileme e-mails, I didn't need any clouds and I was force by Apple to registered if I want to continue using my mobileme e-mail address.

I've moved and now the itunes store will not let me update my account to match the bank records. It gives me the error "Your credit card information does not match your bank records." when in fact it does.

Nothing on Apple's services has worked correctly since they started this iCloud c**p. Did anybody there actually think this through before implementing it? I can't get on iCloud because I only have one email account and it's associated with no less then three Apple IDs (their server hiccups and I get locked out.) Now I can't make purchases in iTunes.

If you are getting a message stating that you are not verified. Then you might have not received the iTunes Store verification email. You will need to contact iTunes Customer Support. They will be able to verify your store account. Then you will be able to sync your iPod Touch while signed into your store account. Your iPod Touch should allow you to purchase your Apps from that point on.

Tried changing the ratio and vcore in the Control Center without any Bios changes, it changed and saved, 4.5 ghz with 1.310v . Then my pc went to blue screen. What would stop the overclocking in this set up:
Enabled: Internal PLL Overvoltage, Execute Disable Bit, Intel Virtualization Tech
Disabled: Limit CPUID Maximum, Power Technology, C1E Support, Overspeed Protection, Spread Spectrum
Also Turbo enabled.

Well, like JayBee said it's hard to know if that will help without knowing exactly which modules your running.
That having been said I would say go ahead and change to 2.7v. Load optimised setting in bios and see if it boots. Won't hurt nothing to try.
As far as overclocking goes, I see that you've been around the forums enough to be a "double ace" so surely you know to go to the Overclockers & Modding Corner section of the forums and at the top of that section is invaluable information in the form of stickies to help you on your overclocking journey. As a matter of fact, most of that information is just as helpful for running a stable stock system.
How far your particular system will go on stock heatsink "safely" is a crapshoot but 230-240 fsb should be achievable but I know some have hit much higher with stock heatsink.
Answers to questions like "what is adjust cpu ratio" are found there and need to be well known before attempting an overclock.
It's also important to have it running stable at stock before attempting overclocking so let's get that figured out before we send you over to the dark side.
I like the 3-3-3-8 for now. Try the 2.7 and optimised and let us know what it does. Don't change nothing else.
