Best Drivers for MSI 6600GT in SLI mode

When i first tried that both cards were healthy and operated fine in non-SLI mode. Tried again 1-2 days later and one card gave coloured blocks all over the screen.
Yup, one card was in the process of croaking so giving random effects. Now thoroughly dead and on the way back for exchange.
Thanks for looking and answering.

  • Best drivers for MSI RX1950PRO-VT2D512E?

Currently latest from MSI website installed.
Edit: I recently got and installed UT 3 and not very good playing it yet but get occasional video stutter/lag/jerking whatever you want to call it, seemed to be OK when I had the 9600 GT in this machine (AMD X2 4200+) but only did a practice try with it then.
I haven't checked for patches for the game yet but will be doing so sometime today.

Latest Catalyst from amd.com is always the best choice.

  • "best" drivers for TV@nywhere master

For a month or two now, I am wondering why did I help my girlfriend
and gave her my ASUS TV/FM pro based on Philips 7134 chip and took from
her MSI TV@nywhere Master based on Conexant 23881 chip.
I have read somwehere a few months ago that it has one bit better compression
or decompression and thought that it is something that I will benefit from.
From what I have learnt using the two different cards main problem is in the drivers.
I got the best results with asus card using the original Philips drivers and not the one from Asus site and now... after a month of searching I think I have found the best drivers for conexant chip.
    http://ftp://ftp.packardbell.com/pub/itemnr/6924330100/cx88x_20331.exe
they are originaly written for the Leadtek card but...
I just installed them over the beta drivers that STU has recommeded and the picture is GREAT!
    better than it was.
do not try them... DO NOT WORK! Stu is right again!
these drivers do not work with the silicon tuner that is on the MSI card!!!
Sorry for 'causing problems to you all!
BUT I HOPE THIS CARD can do much better.

    no they don't work
the installer just copies the driver files to the C:\PnP\Other directory, but the TV Tuner will not use them (driver author is still MicroStar I'tl and the date is as on the beta)
i tried to manually install the drivers, and that didn't work either
these are dated 2001/2002 anyway, so i don't think they can be that up to date

  • Best drivers for my gf3 ti200

what are the best drivers for my vid card?  live update still is only giving me 31.00 but i've seen others on msi site.

Go directly to nVidia's site if you want the latest WHQL'd version.
Guru3d has a nice archive too.
Personally I would just use nvidia's drivers with the coolbit's registry hack to open the clock settings. Also found at Guru3D site....it's all over all you have to do is do a search like Google.

What is the best driver for MSI GeForce4 MX440SE (MS-8847) ?
    Is it Detonator 41.09 ?

    shady86,
Your best bet is the latest DetonatorFX Drivers from the nVidia Website. They will be the most up to date drivers you can get.

  • Best Drivers for 6600GT

I was wondering what the best drivers were for the MSI 6600GT card?  I currently have the latest nvidia drivers, 77.81, loaded.  Each time I install new drivers I use Driver Cleaner Pro.  I'm wondering if there is a driver that my card works best with because I recall having better graphics with an older driver--but that could just be me looking back on golden days.
Also, should I use the MSI drivers on their site (if so which ones) or the nvidia ones.

I always use the drivers from nVidia. If you want the whole archive of drivers, you can go here ftp://download.nvidia.com/Windows and experiment with them all you want. It also depends on what you want, better looking vs better performance and what games you play. You are bound to get many different opinions on the best driver, but in the end it is really in the eye of the beholder. In reality, the best drivers are usually the ones that were released around the time your card hit the market. As you go to newer drivers, optimizations for the current cards on the market may result in poor results for older cards.
    There's always Omega's drivers too http://www.omegadrivers.net/

Best choice for new RAM on nForce SLI Platinum

    OK,
So it would then seem that going for the tighter PC3200 RAM is better that going for the more relaxed PC4000 RAM
It would also seem that the Corsair is a slightly better buy than the Kingston    In general, which overclocks better Corsair or Kingston?
    Thanks,
    D.
Kingstone have a reputation for producing faster compatible memory to replace that found in HP, compaq's etc. Corsair do have a reputation for producing memory for overlockers. Note that dosn't mean memory which overlclocks, it means memory which overlockers can use to push the FSB harder and overlock the CPU.
This is really not a problem for AMD64 users. P4 systems have a poor memory peroformance, and hate running asych. You can push an AMD64 by running the memory asynch without noticing from my expericnace testing my system.
My current system is running at 305 FSB, 1/180 devisor for 275mhz. Everest benchmarks my latency at 43ns, read speed 7300mb/s, write speed 2800mb/s.

  • How to pick best drivers for KT2 Combo-L?

    Hello,
After I wrecked my old MS-6340 board I have purchased a used MSI socket A board in order to assemble with a internet capable machine for my parents with all the old parts I still had. On Ebay I have found a KT2 Combo-L for a reasonable price.
I have formatted the old hard drive and installed XP Pro (32-bit) and Office 2003 already. It is running like a charm
But how do I know how to pick to optimal drivers for this board? I am asking this question since I know from this forum that 'THE NEWEST DRIVERS ARE NOT NECESSARILY THE BEST ONES'........
I saw that this mobo supports 'Live Update'? Would that be the best way to start? Is picking the optimal drivers a question of 'trial and error' or is there someone who can give me some tips of how to proceed here?

  • Bios Settings For MSI K8N Neo4/SLI Platinum MB

Hello all...  Has anyone came up with the best and most stable bios settings for the MSI K8N Neo4/SLI Platinum motherboard yet.  Specifically under the CPU and Memory menus.
If anyone has seen any, please post them. or post a link.
    Thanks
    DaaDoctor

Well that depends on the installed CPU and memory, doesnt it? So I find that question kinda odd.
One thing though: Dont use Cool n Quiet.

  • LAN drivers for MSI 7005 for Windows 7?

I am running a Win XP PE USB for Macrium Reflect, made by Macrium Reflect and it asks or a Network driver.   I suppose it wants a Windows 7 one as it used Windows 7 as a base when creating the CD.  I've booted to the CD and just want to point it to Windows 7 Network drivers.
So i'm trying to download Windows 7 LAN drivers for it/
It may be RealTek LAN 10/100 driver though its not listed for Windows 7.

     Try the Vista drivers.

  • Drivers for MSI Radeon R7 260 1GB

I just bought this the MSI Radeon R7 260 1GB graphics card.
    1. I tried to install drivers from the MSI CD, but nothing happened. So I checked the contents of the CD, only drivers for Win 7 and 8 are supplied! (what happened to VISTA and XP users??)
    2. I tried to get drivers / catalyst controller from the MSI web site, but there are no drivers. (The only thing on offer is a firmware update utility)
    3. I then tried to get drivers from AMD web site, they had drivers for XP 32bit. Whilst this installed the Catalyst Controller, on reboot, it only show a black screen. I had to do a shutdown (via power button). I had to reboot in 'last known known good setting', but then there was a message about no AMD drivers installed. I can't open up Catalyst Controller.  I am only getting basic generic drivers and the window display is terrible.
    4. I then went back to MSI web site,  I tried to install Radeon R7 260X drivers / apps. But that did not work either.
(My previous card was a XFX Radeon R7 240).
Can MSI tell me how to fix this? Or is there no support for Windows XP? Should I return the graphics card?

hello there, have you returned the card yet? if you still need help, would you please provide which model of R7 260 you are using?

  • Drivers for MSI 845GE Motherboard

Can anybody tell me how to go about getting drivers for audio, video, ethernet, SM Bus, USB...for my MSI 845GE Max Motherboard? (According to my device manager, I have these devices..I don't know what they are, but I seem to have them...lol.) I had to install a new hard drive and a different operating system and I lost about 5 different drivers. Boy, am I ever in deep you-know-what!
    Thanks!
    John

Go to the "Product Page", Look up your Motherboard, and when you pull up the Page, the Drivers will be on the Left hand side, Along with the BIOS, and Utilities..Or you could install "Live-Update-3" and do a Auto Search................Sean REILLY875

XL's is verified by anand to top at 2-3-3 on DDR466 so this would be how much of a oce on a 3700sandy at those timings.
Well the 3700 San Diego har a max multilplier equals 11 and you can use the lower ones also .
So you have more options than one to reach say you set a goal for 2700mhz assuming you have air cooling (2.7ghz seems to be what most aim for without extreme cooling)
HTT reference clock at 233 with memory index 200 times multiplier 11 gives 2530mhz on the cpu and 233mhz/466DDR on the memory .
To maintain same memory speed (around or below 233mhz) with higher cpu frequency you must use a divider by setting max memory speed to 166 etc and use a higher HTT clock reference .
    E.g
    HTT=270
    Multiplier=10
    Memory index=166
    Gives CPU/12 divider
    CPU is then 2.7ghz
    Memory speed = cpuspeed/12 = 2700/12 = 225mhz or DDR450 .
    Multilplier memory index dividers:
    7x with 133 : cpu/11
    8x with 133 : cpu/12
    9X with 133 : cpu/14
    10x with 133 : cpu/15
    11x with 133 : cpu/17
    7x with 166 : cpu/9
    8x with 166 : cpu/10
    9X with 166 : cpu/11
    10x with 166 : cpu/12
    11x with 166 : cpu/13
    7x with 183 : cpu/8
    8x with 183 : cpu/9
    9X with 183 : cpu/10
    10x with 183 : cpu/11
    11x with 183 : cpu/13
    7x with 200 : cpu/7
    8x with 200 : cpu/8
    9X with 200 : cpu/9
    10x with 200 : cpu/10
    11x with 200 : cpu/11
( with 200 you will se the divider is the same as multiplier , thats why some calls this 1:1 )
There are also some tables for the dividers made by orcar wu over at extremesystems in this thread:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=41595&highlight=a64+divider+table]
Using this calculation you can figure out your ram frequency before trying it in the bios .
E.g use 183 mem index/divider with cpu multiplier 10x with 2.7ghz as the target .
    10 x 270 = 2700
    memory will run at
    2700/11 = ~ 245mhz or DDR490
