PS: I can swap out my RAM fine with the graphics card in, its a tight squeeze, but there is no extension on value ram.
Your observation about BIOS 1.2 versus 1.3 makes me wonder, even though you're running Vista and I'm using XP, BIOS issues are BIOS issues, regardless of the OS. My Corsair memory works perfectly now that I've re-flashed the BIOS to the same exact version, and this system is now 24 hour Prime95 stable. I can't figure out what the heck is up with the Nvidia drivers and my 8800 GTS 512, though. Maybe it's a BIOS issue? I could always try flashing the 1.2 and see if the system will stop black screening as soon as it attempts to load any Nvidia driver higher than 169.06.

Hello,
I e.g. go to «Support Center for Photoshop» from the menu within the app. Adobe Community Help starts up and tells me theres new content, do I want to download that. It seems to start the dl just fine, then reports an error «16882» (if I'm remembering it right).
Why? We have very fast very broadband internet connection and I use a 2011 27" iMac with max Gig RAM installed.
Any hints there would be appreciated.

Seems Adobe Air or Cummunity help has gone cprrupt. Lets follow the below suggestions:
Step 1: Uninstall adobe air from Utilities and re-install the latest adobe AIR from "http://get.adobe.com/air/otherversions/"
Step 2: Follow "http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/842/cpsid_84215.html" and re-install the Community Help Air application.
Step 3: Restart the machine and launch adobe Community Help and try to install all the updates and check if it works fine.

During BIOS update Satellite Pro A60 went down and hasn't started

Hello everyone,
I have a Satellite Pro A60 and I updated the bios. Halfway the update, my laptop went down and hasn´t started since. All it does is give a couple of beeps (trying to tell me the bios is corrupted, I suppose) and shuts itself off again.
Tried to start with the (~) key pressed down (a tip I got from a friend), but no succes.
I currently live in a country where there is no Toshiba dealer available and I rather not ship the laptop to have it repaired.
Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This sounds not good.
If during the POST the BIOS detects a problem it will normally display a visual error message on the monitor explaining what the problem is. However, if a problem is detected before the BIOS initializes the video card or a video card is not present or not detected then the BIOS will play several BEEPS through the speaker to let you know there is a problem.
Depending on the type of the BIOS you have the BIOS may play beeps in a specific pattern to indicate what the problem is, or play the same beep a number of times indicating the problem.
In your case its possible that you have used a wrong BIOS or a wrong BIOS procedure. Both can damage the motherboard.
To prevent such damages and any mistakes Toshiba has published the FAQ document.
How to update the BIOS on most units!
This you should read before doing any BIOS updates!
Unfortunately I dont think that you can solve it yourself. I think you should ask the ASP for help.

Query vis Bios on P45 Neo-F

The model number is MS-7519 VER 1.0 (Rev. 1.0, of April 2008).
For the life of me, I cannot discern what the Bios is.
The reason being is that it is not yet installed in my computer.
My current CPU (currently on a P7N SLI MS-7380, with Bios v2.1) is the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600.
Memory is 2x2GB PC6400 DDR2 Corsair C5
Graphics is A Geforce 9600GT 1GB card.
I have submitted a request on the online support site of MSI.
I think that it will not be replied to until Monday due to the team there going on leave to see the Dragon Boat Festival from May 28th -May 30th.
Hence my question is two fold.
Firstly, does anyone know what the boards Bios is, specifically if it is at least v.1.5.
Secondly, can I boot up or do I need an older CPU to boot up so that I can update bios.

I know what you are asking, but I'm confident BIOS 1.8 did not have such bug as saving any kind of settings or it would have been removed from the download page for being useless.
Is this a new build or was it OK before?
I suggest you first follow >>Clear CMOS Guide<< and leave it with the jumper on for the night, see if it's any better in the morning.
The simple answer to your question is follow manufacturer instructions, not some youtube video you have found.

990FXA-GD80 + fx-8120 bios v.11.6 instant shutdown after starting win7 rating

(So first english is my second language so i may do some typo error or weird pharse just so you know it)
Here my story just got my 990FXA-GD80 with a fx-8120 and gskill f3-17000cl11d-8gbxl the system work well when i was setting evreything (i must say that it was not a new installation) the memory for the moment was only running at 1600mhz so i didn't fix that right away i was saving it for later the only modification i did it to change the multiplier to 18 and that was it so when evreything look ok i said to myself let update my win7 rating to see what this machine give me and after about 10 to 20 sec. the system shut down.
Here what i can see and whay i did try another psu 500watt from coolermaster (i use a 750 from sea sonic) when i press the power button on the board with the 500 nothing happen or move with my 750 i can hear a clicking noise to say it powering on and as mush as im aware it normal the fan turn for about 2 sec. then nothing anymore and i mush say for both psu the power buton led stay on (i try those test without video card and memory nothing plug on the mobo beside the 24 pins and 8 pins and too 5 sata cable connected too but i dont think that could change any thing)
If you have any question fell free i will do my best to answer them.
My possible conclusion mobo or cpu die? I go more for the cpu but it could be the mobo too so what could it be?
p.s. The debug LED panel is not showing anything

A new thing i can reproduce this with both psu with only the 24 pins in I'm able to power on the mobo and I'm able to get the code 'FF' if my research are correct it mean that there not atx cable plug into the 8 pins so then my theory is that the 8 pins initialisation is before the cpu so the mobo does boot but without the cpu at that moment but when it in then because the cpu is dead in the millisecond of the boot process the system shut down without giving a code because for some reason it cant. So i like to know from someone of MSI if that could be it does it mean the cpu is dead?

Missing BIOS updates in Update Retriever

When I do a search in Update Retriever 5.00.0010 for
Lenovo M92         2121 / Windows 7
Lenovo M82        2929 / Windows 7
Lenovo M82        2756 / Windows 7
A lot of updates is shown, but no Bios Updates , how come? (I'm almost sure that once I was able to see these bios updates, I have tried to rebuilt a new repository, starting from scratch but to no avail)
And searching for Lenovo T61 6458 /windows 7 shows a JP Bios but no US version.
Can anyone confirm that this is a general issue?.

New NF980-G65 with an AMD X6 1090T and the BIOS Update Utility Crashes?

Last week I received my new NF980-G65 board and with it an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T (Thuban 3.2GHz Socket AM3). After installing the board and starting it up for the first time I noticed that it reports BIOS version 1.1 and CPU unknown. Next I downloaded the BIOS update to version 1.3 from msi, made a boot USB stick and powered up again. System will not boot from USB. I tried now over 20 different sticks from 256MB to 64GB and none of them worked!
Went back to my old system and ripped its floppy drive out to install it in the new computer. Had to go to RadioShack since I have not touched a floppy in over 10 years, but they had some on clearance. Made me a boot disk, put the new BIOS and install utility on it, booted the system with the floppy, started the BIOS update utility and watched it crash. When I start it by itself it gives me three screens of options and commands, but as soon as I try to use one of the commands or update the BIOS it keeps crashing.
What do I have to do to get the BIOS on the NF980-G65 updated so it will run with my AMD X6 1090T processor?

What thing are you talking about? You are experiencing the a certain symptom for which you do not know the cause. For some strange reason and without any in-depth tests you seem to assume that the board must be the problem (ignoring all other components (for example your factory overclocked memory modules).

I read your post about the BIOS, and wanted to assist you! The blank screen and blinking of your Caps Lock, is the system trying to give you the error code for the issue your notebook is having. You can review the following document for further assistance, if needed:HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start and Emits an LED or Beep Code Please note the blinking sequence of your Caps Lock, and follow the instructions in the document above. From the information that you provided, it is possible that the blink code will be related to a BIOS error. You can always try performing a System Restore, to set the notebook back to a previous working point. You can also try checking this site for BIOS drivers. Once there, you can select your Operating System and click "Update", you should be able to access and download the BIOS drivers. If you downloaded the latest driver from that site, try uninstalling the driver and installing the previous version. Bios update failed Lemovo H50-55

The PC is now bricked . Is it possible yo recover the BIOS? The original BIOS version was IRKT38AU S. I tried flashing with IRKT42AUS.

Sorry to hear about your trouble.
When you flashed the BIOS (as per this readme.txt), were there any errors during the flash process or any power interruptions or the BIOS update was successful but you get No POST after rebooting the machine?
If the update was successful but you get No POST then you may want to try this AMI BIOS Recovery (the flash utility is afuwin which is used for AMI BIOS).
If you're unable to recover it then I recommend you contact lenovo and report the issue (they usually send a tech. over for service).

Line on screen since bios update

Hi, I recently purchased a Satellite C75D-B during a visit to the US after my Fujitsu was damaged at the airport. However, I ran the update utility yesterday which also included a bios update. All seemed to go okay however, after the reboot I found I had a white line down the left hand side of the screen as if the screen had been damaged. The laptop hasn't been dropped or hit in any way and was working fine before the update.
Now the problem I have is that although its a new laptop, Toshiba here in the UK will not touch it because I purchased it in the US and although Best Buy are happy to take it back, the cost of shipping makes it pointless. So does anybody know if it is possible to roll back the bios to a previous state or do something to fix this problem. Thanks

I see that your touchscreen cannot find your HDTV and you are looking for a bios update. Any recommended bios updates are on the driver page for you system.
Updating the BIOS
You can also run The HP Support Assistant to aid with updates. Here is a link to the HP driver page HP Drivers & Downloads. You will need to input your exact model and follow the prompts to display a list of driver for your system. How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
In the meantime this may help. Connecting a Monitor, Projector or TV (Windows 7).
If you would like further assistance please provide your exact model and the Operating system you are running.

HP Bios Update Failed

HP did an automatic bios update. When completed, the computer did a re-start and it failed. The computer is not responding to anything. Power light goes on but NO BOOTING UP, no inner noises. It's dead. How do I get this computer to respond?
