MOVED: connection to tv
This topic has been moved to MSI Notebooks & Netbooks.
https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=161808.0
Finally! A thread on this!
I have noticed that when watching ESPN streams (not ESPN2/3/SEC) I get the error every single time the live feed goes to commercial. I then have to back out of the app, and go back in, and it usually does not sign re-enter the stream until the game/event is out of commercial break. However, the key is that I MUST leave the watchespn app and re-enter. It totally *****. If I don't, and then try to re-enter the stream without leaving the app, I get a "User not authorized" Which completely is out of left field.
The only good part about this is that I have avoided listening or seeing that godforsaken Toyota Prius commercial.
This error is making MNF unbearable.

I bought a wireless Panasonic smart tv and keep on having issues with the wireless connection to my hub 3 infinity
I have a netgear router and I connected it up to the tv but the viera connection was not connecting to the router ,so i could not connect ,can any one help
I still cannot believe that even with infinity i still cannot get a strong wifi connection in my house .
It would be better to avoid wireless, and use a direct Ethernet cable or powerline adapter.

Firstly, can you remove the image you've posted as it gives the hub's SSID and your wireless password for connecting to it. Although the odds must be huge, if anyone near you read this and realised it was your hub, they would be able to connect to it.
Secondly, from that screen, click advanced settings, continue to advanced settings and click on wireless. From there select another wireless channel, either channel 1, 6 or 11. Click apply when you've done this. Also the distance from the hub will affect the connection speed - how far away is it? - do other devices in the same room also operate slowly?
Installing inSSIDer on a wireless enabled laptop would also be beneficial as you would be able to see what channels are used in your area - you're best to avoid heavily used channels.
Also, ideally connecting via an ethernet cable would solve all this - but this isn't always practical. You could use powerline adapters

Moving Connection String to ConnectionInfo
We have an old VB6 app that uses a Connection String to connect to the database. It is in the form
"DRIVER=InterSystems ODBC;SERVER=localhost;PORT=56773;DATABASE=WSNETNEW;UID=CRUSER;PWD=CRPWD"
We just got Crystal Reports 2008 and are moving this app to .net. How do I set it up using the ConnectionInfo? So far I have:
ConnectionInfo connectionInfo = new ConnectionInfo();
connectionInfo.ServerName = "localhost";
connectionInfo.DatabaseName = "WSNETNEW";
connectionInfo.UserID = "CRUSER";
connectionInfo.Password = "CRPWD";
Where do I put my DRIVER and PORT information - in connectionInfo.Attributes or connectionInfo.LogonProperties?
Thanks for any help.Hi,
I dont think so we can give port number and driver name with connection info.
Have a look to [Sample code|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/businessobjects-samples] and [DevLibrary|http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/BusinessObjectsXIR2SP2/en/devsuite.htm]

Moving connections of GRC AC 5.3 RAR with R/3 ABAP Client (same SID)
Dear All,
Please can someone assist me with the documentation for the movement of the connection of AC 5.3 RAR based on Java, from one client in R/3 ABAP to another.
For e.g. if GRC AC 5.3 is connected to QAS Client 101 on ABAP side, how to move the connection to Client 102 on the same system (SID).Also, mention please, if there are any specific steps to carried out for removal of existing connection.
Regards,
PrashantUsually you don't move a connection, as the analysis results and the naming reflect the target system.
I don't know your specific context, but let's asusme you're finished working with the test system and want to add the production system.
From SP10, RAR has a feature to delete a connector and all related data (Careful! Be sure to back up your rule set before you do that!).
You would then create the new connector, add it to the logical system, create the rules, plan the sync and analysis jobs and you're good to go.
If that's not what you're looking for, please tell us a few nmore details.

How do I buy an iphoto 6 book now on a PowerPC Mac?
My mom has a PowerPC Mac with Mac OS X 10.4.11 and iPhoto 6.0.6. She is now unable to buy a book. What would the best course of action be?
NOTE - Please don't respond "buy a new computer" also, don't respond to install "App Store" and upgrade to iPhoto '11 (that doesn't work on a PowerPC Mac as far as I can tell).
NOTE 2 - My Mom does have an Intel Based Mac Book and could install iPhoto '11 on that computer; however, I can't find any step by step migration strategy from iPhoto 6.0.6 to iPhoto '11. If this is your recommendation, please point me to where a migration step-by-step exists.
NOTE 3 - I'm sorry about posting in the wrong forum. There is no iPhoto 6 forum available anymore :-/
Thanks for your help....SInce the only possible response is to upgrade iPhoto to '08 or later that is the answer
You may be able to purchase older versions of iPhoto on e-bay
To migrate from one computer to another you simply move the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from one computer to the other (if you have an existing iPhoto library you want to keep be sure to rename it before moving) - Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.
That is correct - the new forums eliminate the versions except as key words - as a volenteer trying to help I find that extemely difficult but it is what it is

Hello,
Couple of points related to Nokia Messaging
memory usage. Nokia Messaging stores, by default, 2kb of each message
on the device. Even if you have hundreds of emails, they don't take up
much space until you start getting into attachments.
The
deleted items folder in Nokia Messaging does not clear itself
automatically in this release, so if you've been deleting a lot of
emails on the device and are encountering issues with memory, go into
that folder and choose options to empty it.
We are
investigating the memory consumption on the N97 with Nokia Messaging,
as some of you have reported. The reason we don't offer message
storage on the memory card is that removing of the memory card with the
messages stored on there could cause some serious issues with correctly
syncing your email.
We do hear you on the calls for
storage somewhere other than the C drive. The amount of space that the
emails should take up on your device is minimal, but we are open to
feedback and fixing problems as they arise.
Message Edited by davisfields on 13-Aug-2009 10:46 PMAs netoak stated in the above post. My problem with N97 is the same, I have a number of applications that needs to be installed on (E) Mass Storage. By running these applications and have a message comes through. Be it, text, picture, multimedia, it will get stored on the phone memory which eventually gets full and can only be deleted as it cannot be copied or moved (connect to PC back up, delete original from phone memory and then restore from PC to Mass Storage is a royal joke) to Mass Storage.
What good is a flagship phone that meant to be rich for multimedia when a couple of e-mails or messages with attachments will render it's useless.
So if these issues below are not looked at I'm soon to trade my N97 in for something else, and neither are my friends and family going to get N97 because they already know that their non-N97 phones works fine and mine is having loads of issues.
Surely these can be fixed in the next major update of your firmware?
- Functionality to copy or move selected message from C to E. We're jumping through hoops just to do the most simplest of tasks like moving messages. Inability to move messages and e-mails between these two storage locations is really, really, 1990's and not mobile computer as Nokia trying claim N97 is.
- Settings to be persistent that messages go to E when stuff on E are being used. -
Not getting The Speed That I am Paying For
Greetings all FIOS Internet users.
I had FIOS Internet installed at my house on March 8, 2014. I bought the 50 MBPS download package.
Unfortunately, my highest download speed is about 28 MBPS. Because I'm a computer whiz, I immediately realized what my problem is. It's my router setup.
The Verizon installers placed my router on a coffee table in my living room and then inserted a wireless USB card in to one of my computer's USB 2.0 ports. However, my computer is located on the second floor of my house in my master bedroom and the router is located on the ground level of my house in my living room.
Instead of running an Ethernet cable from the router to my computer, the Verizon installers opted to go with a wireless installation. I can run an Ethernet cable from my router to my computer by using the coax cable outlets located in every room of my house. Of course, this will require many hours of work by me because I will have to pull the coax cable out of each outlet and substitute Ethernet cable or-- I can run an Ethernet cable from my router to the outside of my house and then run this cable to my master bedroom by drilling a hole in my bedroom wall.. I've course I will have to weather proof this outside cable.
If I do this, will my FIOS contract with Verizon be null & void? I don't want to have any legal problems with Verizon but I sure as heck don't want to pay for 50 MBPS if I'm only getting 28 MBPS.
Please advise!!
Solved!
Go to Solution.I can't answer the question why the installer did what he did. If you have a complaint about that it's best handled with Verizon Customer Service, rather than through this peer-to-peer forum.
However, since you do have coax already running to the room where your computer is located, and if (this is important) your Actiontec is being fed by coax now, the amount of work involved in moving the router would be minimal. Just disconnect it from it's present location and reconnect it in your master bedroom.
You may need a splitter for the coax in the bedroom but they're inexpensive and easy to obtain.
If your Actiontec is currently connected to your ONT via Ethernet, moving the router would still be done the same way but you'd then have to call tech support and get them to change your ONT's provisioning from Ethernet output to coax.
Once the router is moved, connect it to your PC via Cat 5/6 cable and in all likelihood you'll start getting the full speeds you're paying for. -
I'm about to send a work instruction to a contractor to build one patch panel on each rack, so that they can connect to each other. I'm not sure what cable should be used betwn two patch panels, and betwn routers and patch panels? is there an industry standard?
Yes, the standard is the EIA/TIA 568 standards for structured cabling.
The short story and significant highlights are that permanent connections should use solid conductor cabling; temporary connections should use stranded conductor cables ("jumper cables")
The standard suggests a maximum distance of 100 meters constructed as: 90 Meters of solid-conductor "in the wall" type cable, with a maximum of five meters of jumper cabling at either end, for a total of 100 meters MAX.
Solid core and stranded core are significant:
Solid conductor cabling does not tolerate flexion well, so permanent, non-moving connections use this cable.
Stranded conductor cabling (jumpers) tolerate the flexing, but they have much higher loss and would drop too much signal if used for extended runs.
Permanent connections are usually "punched down" ... stranded cabling doesn't punch down well.
Panel-to-panel connections (esecially punched connections) should be solid core cabling.
Panel-to-device, or info outlet to device should use jumpers (stranded).
Resist the urge to make your own jumpers. There's much more to it then a simple strip & crimp. The couple bucks you spend for cables is nothing compared to the agony and frustration of chasing a/some poorly terminated cable(s).
Good Luck

I have moved all my itunes onto a new external hard drive to free up space. It has wiped my ipod clean! I can still see the itunes on the new hard drive so I restored my iPod and tried to sync. Although when I connect my iPod it's in the process of syncing, so many songs in I get a pop up saying could not copy to my iPod as xyz song title could not be read or written. I click ok for this pop up to dissapear and then another pop up appears saying could not coyp to iPod because of unknown error.!!! Help I'm going crazy.
Did you go into iTunes to change the location of your media files? if not you will need to go into iTunes and click on preference and select the advance tab then click the iTunes Media folder location. Select the location of your on external hard drive.

ITunes 10.1.1 moving files to wrong location and then losing connection.
This morning I tried to play one of my albums and it told me it wasn't able to locate the files (on my external disk) so I located them manually and for some reason it has created a new iTunes folder in the root of my HDD (even though the iTunes prefs still pointed at the external disk) and moved the files in to that.
I deleted the album from the library and then imported the files from the new folder. It imported them fine and copied them to the exiting iTunes folder in the ext HDD but then immediately copied them back to the wrong iTunes folder. Then it told me it couldn't find them again!
I've now discovered 4 other albums that it's doing the same thing with and no matter what I do I can't get them to import, stay on the ext HDD and remain connected.
I've re-installed iTunes and restored my library file from before I upgraded to 10.1.1(4) but it's still doing the same thing.
Any ideas anyone?
Message was edited by: jontuckerSame here. Shut off Zumocast and that seemed to solve this VERY annoying and tricky problem. Let's hope that was really it. Thanks for the tip!

Once pictures are moved from your camera to your iPad (using the camera connection kit), how do you get the photos off of the iPad? They do not show up in my photo stream or my iCloud. I am able to see any photo I took on the iPad using the iPad camera (in iTunes, photo stream, or when I open windows explorer and browse the iPad director), however I cannot see any photos transfered from my camera to the iPad. The camera connection kit must have put my photos in a directory I cannot get to and cannot sync.
