Moved country, updated account details - can't use store

I moved from UK to Australia. I've just updated my account details (country address & bank/payment details) on the iPad;
Settings > Store > Apple ID > Country/Region
All seemed to go well & I recieved an email from Apple advising me that my account details had been changed. All good .....
..... but when I go into the App Store the currency still show in pound sterling & if I try to purchase I get the following error;
I thought I'd just done that?!! I tried signing out of my account on the iPad & then signing back in, restarting the iPad. No joy though. Still shows UK pounds & I still can't buy anything.
Do I need to do something else before this should work?!

Ah ha! Think I've sorted it - I tried to go into my Apple ID via the actual App store (as opposed to going in through the settings). A couple of error messages flocked up in quick sucsession and I final message saying the App Store location would be updated to the Australian store. A couple of seconds later all the prices updated to Aussie dollars ...... So I think I should be good to go now ;-)

    I do NOT like using my credit card if I don't have to, and I went out of my way to go buy an Apple gift card, which I successfully redeemed into my Apple account. However, when I use the Apple "Cards" app, it will not let me use anything other than my credit card. I tried purchasing a card, hopefulling it would come out of my Apple store balance, but no such luck -- it came out of my credit card.
    Apple is becoming more like Microsoft every day.

    I'd suggest you consider a cloud-based file sharing service such as Dropbox for this sort of use. iOS is not designed to be synched with more than one iTunes library at a time, so attempting to use it as you describe, connecting a single iPad to multiple computers, almost certainly won't work as you intend and is likely to cause nothing but headaches.

    Your iPhone and iPod can share the same iTunes account.  Apps can be freely shared and used by one or both devices.  You can't use money in your iTunes account to pay for your phone, but purchased apps can be used by both the iPod and iPhone.

    Make sure the iPad fully synced back up to your computer after the installation. The apps were removed as part of installing 5.0, and should be restored back to it as you finish. Connect the iPad to your computer that you backed up to, and sync it again. If they don't come back, go to the Apps page (click on your iPad under Devices, then Apps) and click the ones you want to sync. You could also restore to the backup you made right before the update.

    Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. DFU Mode is a black, blank screen with iTunes saying Recovery Mode.

    Go to to your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder in the Finder and then enter  Time Machine.  Go back to the last backup that has the domain file, select it and use the Restore button.

    Well i dont know if you can use store credit.....i was asking that questiob myself, but i guess if you didnt want it to take you to your credit card right away, you could delete your cc info off your apple id. I myself dont have a credit card listed.

    that's true and I'm fully aware of it, but the thing is that I'm not asking for company's support inside the country! I just need to be able to register thoroughly so i can download apps and buy music...it's an issue which could be fixed online! Apple has so many customers here in Iran and this is the least help the company can provide those who have paid them, but are not able to receive any support from the company, currently, in their own country.
    At every store around the corner here in Iran i can make a fake Apple ID, that would work, only with the help of a teenager. But i thought it would be much better if the problem could be solved from the root. i really think this should be discussed by those in charge

    Hi,
    I have tried several times over and over again to update my account details as I have moved country but not working!
    I have moved from Qatar to Abu Dhabi, i have gone through all the editing process to update the address details and new payment details and it shows that is saved it but when I go to purchase an item on itunes I keep getting the following message!
    This appleid is only valid for purchases in the Qatari ITunes store.

    I am an Elite Plus customer and really upset with Best Buy as they decided to lock me out of my account due to an audit and I can't use in inspite of having $2000 in my account that I bank. I called Best Buy 3 days ago after receiving an email that my account had been updated and they decidid to do an audit and lock my account without informing me. I keep getting "check in 24hrs" message since 3 days and it doesn't let me issues certificates. I found out after calling Reward Zone that my account was updated as I was re-enrolled in the Elite Plus program. I keep getting a response from Reward Zone that corporate is auditing my account for fraudulent activity. While I appreciate that, I don't expect them to shut me off my account for more than 3 days when I need to purchased items using my $2000 worth of banked points. This is RIDICULOUS and noone from Reward Zone wants to take ownership of this issue. I just spoke to the manager named Kenya Case ID: {edited per forum guidelines} and all she did was directed me to the website and asked me to email corporate. This is complete NONSENSE and expect a professional company like Best Buy to figure out their processes and not shut out customers from their program without informing them. I am hoping that someone from the right department can pick this up and resolve this issue as I need to purchase items this weekend and am sick of seeing the "check back in 24 hrs" error.
    I am a loyal customer of Best Buy but things like this makes me reconsider my decision of buying things from Best Buy again.
