Hi!
I have MSI KT880 Delta-FSR motherboard.My problem is that about every second time when i start my pc BIOS settings will be factory settings.I have to go to bios and change every settings again away.

I have 120mm fan with my cooler.Temperature of the prosessor is about 44-47 celcius.Cooler is over one year old.
I have 2*512M PC 3200 memory.They are not same brand/make.In start i have one memory stick, 512M/Kingston and the problem was same.
All the answers are good what you are writing but i dont understand how those have an effect my BIOS problem ??Sometimes when i start my pc memory clock fz is 266 and its should be 400.I have to go bios the change it and like i write earlier put the onboard lan and ac97 enable.
I close pc this morning when i goto school.When i come afternoon home and turn my pc on i have this message:
"Scan devises,please wait...."
Hardware initiate failed,please check device.The bios does not be installed!Press(g) to continue.
Reboot and select proper boot device.When i do that there is only my cd-rom device.I cant choose HDD drive at all.
I shut down the pc and take another computer ( i have 5) bios battery and the pc start at once.Now i have tho follow can the problem be a consequence of that.

it has a 150gb FAT32 partition and a 100gb NTFS one.
Old mobo was a FIC AN11, but that is probably erroneous now.
As for the motherboard not recognizing it, the ide cable was loose. after fixing that, it is detected fine in bios.
And computer management now shows "Online" for the drive after I initialized it, but still shows unallocated under it. It is not unallocated.
Anything I can do to ensure I don't lose information?

Win XP Installation problem on System with KT880 DELTA FSR

WHen I try install win xp with sp2 included, installation fails in about 19 minute to end in graphical part of installation.
when installation crashes i see only blue screen with

You can test the memory by downloading this program,
http://www.memtest.org/download/1.40/memtest86+-1.40.floppy.zip
Creates a bootdisk which you must boot from. (Disk cannot be read in windows)
If the PSU cannot provide enough power then running the memory at a lower frequency can help, as 333Mhz uses less power than 400Mhz.
Test the memory at 333Mhz and see if you get any errors, maybe ask a friend to run the memory at 400Mhz with memtest.
If it does run at 400Mhz (200Mhz) without any errors then it is not faulty.
From this point forward you will always test any memory modules that you buy with memtest.
It is a very useful program.

Self restarting on KT880 DELTA FSR while playing 3d Games

Hello, got this problem ..
when playing 3d games, computer restarts itself .. it's about after 5 minutes playing.

HDD WD 120GB S-ATA
CPU 2500+ Barton
APACER 512Mb 400Mhz CL 2.5
PSU JJ 400W (good amps)
LG GSA DVD+-RW
FDD ALPS 3.5"
i thought it can by by weak PSU, but i change it by better PSU and nothing - problem remains. So I tried put other GPU (FX5600VTDR) and problem still remains :-(
WHat now ?
I thing it can be only by the BIOS version . cause on board is old version 1.3 and on the same configurated computer (except DVD-RW) is 1.6 and everyting works.
Any help ?

Bios updates dont fix any important issues
Try this and test your memory.

any errors means that the ram is faulty.
Do you have any other ram to use the in kt880?

Where you can see AGP/PCI frequency?
I havent got FSB high enough to see it in windows,but in memtest86+ i started to get picture corruption @ 240MHz FSB.
I´m still trying to get this run stable, atm i´m running 12x205MHz and uptime is about 10hours.
I´m not sure anymore is it this 2-phase power regulation which makes all these random boots.
Last boot was at 12x210MHz 2.0V and i was running EpoX 8K3A+ 12x212MHz 1.95V.

Replace K7N2-L with MSI K7N2 Delta FSR Socket A nforce2

Hi I think my Mainboard has fried , if this seems to be the case I will have to replace soon , I was wondering if I replaced my Existing K7N2-L Nforce 2 board for the MSI K7N2 Delta FSR Socket A nforce2 , will my Operating system realize that ive change boards , Its just i recall going from one Board to another in the past and I ended up having to reformatt my Machine as i was getting all sorts of problems ..
i have recently Formatted and I dont want to do it agian , I have a spare board but its a SIS chipset , and wont support my CPU or My Kids CPU .. Any help would be great Cheers Kurvz

You will need to do a repair install of Windows, and you will need to reinstall the mobo drivers. Formatting isn't necessary, and was probably not the last time either. A repair install will not damage any of your important files, and you will not need to reinstall other programs (perhaps a few monitoring programs), but the updates you made to Windows will be gone.

So what version of BIOS are u running? I recently installed the two newest versions 2.0 and 2.1, and they both give me problems. With the latest (2.1) I'm getting the same error as you. Returning back to previous BIOS fixed my problems. Oh yeah, my RAM is Kingston Hyper-X, so i don't think thats your problem.

MSI KT880 Delta broken!?

Hi all,
when I tried to setup a new pc with the MSI KT880 Delta with a mobile Athlon XP and an Arctic Copper Silent TC2 Cooler, I destroyed some of the circuits close-by to the plastic heat sink grip. Using the Arctic Copper Silent TC2 Cooler, there was no way, not to harm these, because they are awfully close to the cpu! They look like little bridges and are labeledd. "C014" and "L11" and "L31". You might think what a noob, but I have build up all my systems from scratch as well as pc's for friends and family so I'm not totally "stupid", at least I thought I was not. In the meantime I got myself an AMD 64-3000 on a K8N Neo2 Platinum, which works like a charm. The question is, can the board/circuits on the KT880 Delta be repared, is it worth it or are they just junk?
After breaking the HW, I did not put it in my PC to try because I was afraid to kill another card or disc. What can I do? Any insights.

Very odd chart, it shows the Duron Applebred CPU's as the only 266FSB CPU's supported. One would think that if it can use those, it could use the T-Breds and thornton's as well

[VIA] KT880 Delta FSR with VIA Vinyl has problems with MIC

I have problem with my MB, can't get to select MIC for input way, all that I get is Vinyl AC'97 Audio (WAVE) for playback device and also for recording device, and that is all i get for recording device. I lost that option since I instaled SATA HDD. Previously I had old paralel ATA HDD. Please HELP!

Misteriously, the problem is solved. I don't known how happen but is gone.
But, if i unplug the power cord from the pc or from the UPS the problem persist. I think that is a incompatibility issue with voltages or with video card, anyway is "mid" solved.
