[nForce] K7N2 D2-FSR cant get in window after manual setting

I'm a bit of a noob at o/c so not sure I can give you sound advice.
pci is unlocked I think, though if use core centre then you can control it-I'm not using corecentre.
are you using priority 10 for prime 95 and In-place FFT's torture test?  I believe that is most demanding.  If you getting reboots then you're overclock is not stable, need to lower fsb and retest.  Your psu is probably marginal as well so maybe that isn't quite strong enough to be pushed further.  Can you try beefier one?
I don't know how far you can push vcore up; maybe one of our resident experts can advice.
I started out on this journey with exact problem you faced; I couldn't change High Performance mode from optimised to manual.  I still haven't found a solution unless I enable DOT.  I've tried bios b5, b6.1 and now trying b6.0, without success.  O/S fails to load.  Did you say b3  allowed you do to that and increase fsb in bios or was it change of memory?  I'm thinking my expensive ram is not very flexible and doesn't suit the nforce 2 chipset.  At moment with bios b60, high performance manual,  memory to manual (2-2-2-11) and DOT enabled-private I passed memtest overnight.  I'll try prime95 tonight if I have no issues tday.

  • [nForce] K7N2 Delta2-FSR PCI revision Q.

What is the PCI revision for this motherboard?
Can't find it anywhere on official page or somewhere else.
    thx in advance

Dr Stu, I have'nt bought the board yet, I just want to upgrade my kt3 ultra2 in my sig, want to get dual channel memory, 8X AGP and sata to get the most speed out of my XP2700.  I have already bought another 512mb of Crucial Ballistix for the dual channel.  I'm looking for a good socket A board before they go away!  I know I'm pushiing my PS with only 18amps on the 12v side, but it has the xtra 4 pin connector and it's a good quality.  The link Fredrik so kindly provided is what it looks like.  It has been a decent sink for me.  It is 80 X 80 mm @ the aluminum fins.  Actually I had to lap mine to get a shiney surface, it had machine marks on it.  Thanks
P.S. The K7N2 looks like it's feature pack, just wondered if it's a good stable board

  • [nForce] K7N2 Delta2-FSR and AX-7 Heatsink

Hi, does this heatsink fit on this MB?  It looks like the chipset HS & fan are too close.  Anyone have this combination?  Also is this a good socket a board, there seem to be people with alot of problems?  Thanks

    you have a few choices...
But before anything, the BKM of this forum, read the  Moan Guide.
    OK, here's your choices:
    1. run  Memtest86 check  if your RAM is faulty.
    2. RMA the board.

  • Cant get into MfE when phones set to "off peak" ti...

On the weekend (off-peak time) I couldn’t synchronies (kept telling me to set up an Exchange profile), didnt receive any emails (sent a few to the company account which is set up on the phone to test it but no luck) and couldnt get into the MfE settings (menu -> mfe and from there I couldnt do anything, hit options and it showed the usual menu but when I clicked on Open nothing happened and even the left-right moving locked up, all I could do is to quit to the "desktop") The phone was working fine apart from this (and been working fine since this year april, even upgraded to the latest firmware in the same month) and had no problems with it till the weekend. Tried rebooting (switch off and on) : no luck. Our Exchange server was fine ok all weekend, managed to log into my account, no error logs that would indicate it was the servers fault. Other people (with the same phone, same firmware, same settings) had no problems accessing their emails on the weekend. This morning as soon as it hit the scheduled peak time it started working fine, emails started coming in. In peak time it syncs every 30 mins and in off-peak it syncs every 6 hours.  Any suggestions/solutions would be highly appreciated since I cant be without phone and emails the coming weekend.

My girlfriend was having a similar problem with her N95 phone. I'd spotted a couple of posts like this one, but no solution. Here's how I fixed it...
Used nokia pc suite to back everything up off the phone.
We tried resetting the phone to factory settings using both the option within the phone, and the reset code, but still couldn't access messages.
We then entered *#7370# to reformat the phone, and messages were than accessible.
As we thought might happen, when we restored the full backup in nokia pc suite, the messages couldn't be accessed.
We reformatted the phone a second time, and restored the backup using nokia pc suite again but this time we didn't restore the settings. Messaging was accessible again, the old messages, contacts etc were all there. All that needed setting up again were things like selected ring tones.
    Hope that helps.

  • Cant get past "Windows Boot Manager"

The following message appeared after restarting my computer (Toshiba Equium A200 1V0) from a window vista update
Windows failed to start. A recent hardwre or software change might be the cause.
    To fix the problem.
    1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
    2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next".
    3. Click "Repair your computer"
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
    File: \Boot\BCD
    Status: 0xc000014
Info: An error occurred while trying to read the windows boot configuration data
Now my problem is that I cant even change anytthing for my computer to boot from CD - I do not have a windows disc but have the Toshiba product recover disc but nothing at all works. Ive tried pressing F12, F2, F8, DEL .. actually pretty much every key just in hopes it will work.
Anyone else got any ideas on what I can do. Im pretty much resigned to the fact that Im going to lose everything I just need the computer up and running again as soon as I can.
    Many thanks

Until one of the experts can give you advice about repairing your Vista system, you might like to try to recover your files. I'm not very computer literate, but managed to achieve this when I "murdered" my Windows 2000 installation. I ASSUME the same process should work with Vista. (Slightly worryingly, Windows passwords don't seem to matter.)
Download a Linux live CD - I found "Puppy" Linux a good one - small download, and easy to use. Burn the resultant .iso file to a CD. Insert the CD in your CD/DVD drive, and start the computer. Let it boot the Linux operating system. (You may need to experiment with BIOS settings to get the computer to boot from CD before its own hard drive.)
You now have a linux operating system running independently of your hard drive. (If it's one of the large Linux programs, it will be slow when run from a CD - not a problem - just requires patience!)
With a bit of luck, the Linux system will see any drives connected to your computer, including your hard drive. (The same as your normal operating system sees a USB stick and can copy files from it, for instance.) You might then be able to browse your hard drive files, and copy them to an external hard drive, or USB flash drive.
I did come across some matter of permissions to write to the external drive - sorry, can't remember the answer off-hand but it was very simple - and only had it once. Again, simply google the problem. There are lots of Linux experts posting threads out there!
This won't enable you to boot your Vista system or anything like that but, if you can get your files copied somewhere safe, then you can simply copy them back once you've reinstalled the offending Vista system.
I'll try to provide a link to an answer I previously suggested here - sorry it's a bit long-winded, but the link in it may be of use, too.

One of those things which is easier to do than to describe, perhaps - lots on the internet about Linux rescue CDs.
I found a lot of useful articles on this google link:
    http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=using+a+linux+live+cd+to+rescue+win dows+files&btnG=Google+Search&meta=
I've never been good at entering search terms; you may well find better stuff.
But the good news is that it might be possible to recover at least some of your data before reinstalling.
If you've not used Linux live CDs before, do a bit of homework first. They're surprisingly easy, especially when you've overcome one or two of the usual initial pitfalls eg trying to burn the live CD as a data rather than an iso CD then wondering why it won't boot. Proabably easier for you to do a bit of googling than for me to write pages here!
Another alternative, if you're better at dismantling computers than me, would be to remove your hard-drive and install it in a suitable external hard-drive enclosure. This can then be connected to another computer via a USB port and you should be able to read your files as if from a USB flash drive, and copy them. I've only tried this with old drives from old desktops with nothing on them that matters too much - but it seemed easy enough. Again, just a way of copying all your stuff before wiping your laptop's hard drive and reinstalling Vista.
Sorry if this was a bit rambling - hope it gives you some ideas.

  • Cant get e-mail after update....

since the new iPod update my e-mail wont work. I dont get any error messages it just wont pick up e-mail. I know I have messages as when I get back to my desk I pick them up then. Is this something to do with the 'Push' thing?
    thanks

    Hey cgefcon,
Your network must be set up using a router and a modem for your internet connection. Unfortunately, a 3G dongle will not work for ePrint. Once your network is setup, you can connect the printer to the network either wired (ethernet cable) or wirelessly from the front panel. Once the printer is connected to the network, you can enable web services and get your printer's email address.
This link will step you through setting up ePrint.

If I have resolved your issue, feel free to provide Kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided.

  • Cant get album art after converting from wma

After convertong old wma files into itunes format, clicking on get album art initiates the process and it seems to go through each album retrieving art, yet picture never appears. Any ideas?

OK in windows media player, it will pull the album art up, but it doesn't attach the art to the song, instead it hides the art in the system and attaches a series of numbers to be ID. In iTUnes tho the art is attached to the songs tags.
Now there may be some program you can find on the net that will automaticly do this for you, I have no idea but heres how to do it manually.
Now the art work will reside where the song is. Since most music is put in the "My MUsic" folder i'll focus there, but if you have songs in another folder there artwork will be in that folder with them. Open My Music folder and goto tools>folder options>view tab Now check "Show Hidden Files and Folder" then UNCHECK "Hide Protected Operating System Files" You should now see all the album art listed.
