in my other thread ( https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=155063.0 ) i stated that my msi ae2020 was acting up etc etc, but now disaster has struck, when you turn the pc on she doesnt budge from the msi bios screen, the fans have also been going crazy recently, she just wont get past bios screen unless you turn her on and off 20 odd times before she kicks up and when she does she freezes every 10 mins then the process starts again.

How can I unock my phone when the touch screen is broke/frozen? I have a replacement phone coming tomorrow and need to back-up to itunes. The phone is a 5.

If the device has been regularly backed up and synced with iTunes, simply connect it to the computer and do a backup via iTunes.
If it has not been backed up regularly (or never backed up) there is no way to force a backup without a functioning screen.

If it's frozen you may have to do a reset.
Hold down the home button (circle with a square in it) and the sleep/wave button (button on top) together until the phone restarts.
It may go into recovery mode, which means I hope you have a backup

Lenovo g550 cursor moving Please help

Im struggling on here really....lol....
Im having trouble with my G550.......when im typing ....if im not watching the screen when typing, I find the cursor has moved into the middle of another word after pressing the space bar......also, after pressing the return key, the cursor has moved uptosomewhere bizarre and not where I want it to be.....
Its driving me mad and wastes so much time correcting sentences........

HP Pavilion touch screen sleekbook 14 - Help touch screen stopped working

Hii have hp laptop - Pavilion touchsmart sleekbook 14 b150se - the device have a touch screen - it worked for about 6 months - then it stopped suddenly working after upgrading to windows 8.1 x64 (i.e. it worked in both windows 8 and 8.1 )then it stopped for no reasonwhile i was searching for drivers in hp site - i found an intersting driver was for windows 8 ( not 8.1) -which worked perfectly in windows 8.1 !! AUO Touchscreen Firmware as in descriptionThis package provides the AUO Touchscreen Firmware Update for supported notebook models running a supported operating system. i did standby worked again for 2 min and then did the same upper left corner icon again - it did that a lot untill i did hard shutdown ( pressed power button for 5 sec cause the device stucked ) then the touch is dead i try to install the same firmware again - but it just open and close too fast - i got the files from the temp folder and when i see log it tell that when it check the firmware version it find it the same as installed so it skip installition
also when i go to system info - it tell me ( Full Windows Touch Support With 10 Touch points )i also see the driver under Human interface devices in device manger - when i disable it the Full wndows touch support line i system info dissapear so i know that it's driver and the device is connected also when i calibrate screen and touch it nothing occur i hope if someone help mesorry for detailed and long info but to get full info about the prob

Hi Slimon, I got the same issue as your prob that after the AUO firmware installed, then I ran over the internet to look for a solution. I tried tons of them but finally your way helps. Thank you! If the touchscreen of your laptop has been not working yet, you'd better try to erase the current one in the system, then re-install the firmware one more time. However, sorry I dont know how to erase it. You can probably create a new topic to post your question on this hp support forum and wish an upcoming answer helps. Good luck! Ray

Welcome to the Apple forums:
Be sure your XP disk had SP2 embedded into XP, and not a separate file or patch.
Also be sure your disk is not an ISO image but a real disk, with files on it. You can look at them using your Mac. Insert the CD or DVD and doubleclick the disk icon.
You should see most or all of the following files and folders:
(HOMEWITHSP2)
AUTORUN.INF
DOCS
DOTNETFX
I386
README.HTM
SETUP.EXE
SETUPXP.HTM
SUPPORT
VALUEADD
WIN51
WIN51IC
WIN51IC.SP2
When you copied the disk, did you make sure your copy was Windows readable? Mac has several formats, one of which is Mac-only for data CDs. You need to select the universal mode, Mac and Windows for the data image and when burning the image.
Also be sure you selected to close or finalize the CD after burning or it cannot be read by Windows.

Someone Help - Touch Screen Problem

Hi. I bought a HP Touchsmart 300z series desktop yesterday and I have had some problems with the touch screen since I turned on the PC yesterday.
The first thing that happens is when I install a new program the touch feature goes away. Turn off the PC for a bit and fire it back up and it works fine but leads to the next problem.
The next problem is when I start up the PC and the touch screen is working, if the PC is on for about an hour the touchscreen goes off and I am unable to use it. If I turn the computer off for a little bit and turn it back on, the touch screen will work.
Is anyone else having this issue? And wht can I do?

It should work, but the question is will your monitor connect without adapters? The 9000 has both DVI and ADC connectors.
I don't thing the 9600 has an ADC connection, so if your monitor does, you are looking at another 100$ for an adapter.

yes, it should, but it will be slower. The 1.25 has a faster AGP bus than the dual 450.

Brand new (clean & scratchless) copy of Windows XP Home with SP2.
I ran the bootcamp assistant and made a 20 gig windows parition (so its under the 32 gig limit of fat32).
Following the installation procedure the windows disk is inserted, the machine reboots and then it just sits there with a black screen and a blinking cursor. The CD drive stops spinning and no progress from that point forward.
I then read on here some had better lucky with a "copy" of the original windows disk so I duplicated it in this Mac (i.e. burned with its own drive) but exactly the same problem with the burned copy (which also opens fine from within OSX).
I'm at a loss... where to go from here? We decided to try apple because they assured us we could run our "windows only aps" on the bootcamp side of the hardware but bootcamp isn't working!
Please advise...

Navbar text moving- PLEASE Help.

I've made my own Navbar, and because the text and images moved and did all sorts of strange things in FF 3.5.2 see:http://innerspheresmusic.com/Home.html
I tried out lots of variations with
1.altering the size of the text box
2.altering the size of the bar itself
3.changing the gaps between the words
4.making the bar + Orb image into a JPEG file
5.making one text box containing all the words instead of 10 separate ones
5.adding a 4-letter word in the text box where the orb is, and changing the colour to white + 0% opacity ( but this reverted to the same colour as the other words in the text box when I published it so I've removed it again)

Have you tried emptying your Safari cache before republishing to your site folder? That usually solves any shifting text problems that I have experienced. Also, if your site has a lot of pages like mine does, I have found it also helps to empty the cache, restart my computer and then republish. That has neve failed me.

My ipod is remaining with a white/blank screen, it is able to play music, i can hear it, but there are no words, and i did not damage it in anyway, no water or physical damage, this is so strange, please let me know if you have any solutions...thanks much

NEVER MIND I FIXED MY PROBLEM.....I am disappointed i didn't find much help on here....anyways a friend of mine gave me this in my email....i hope i can be of some help to anyone else who had the same problem
BLANK SCREEN PROBLEM:
This is caused because the contrast setting on iPL is quite buggy. When you boot iPL for the first time, the screen may be all dark or completely blank. To fix this you can either turn your iPod sideways until you see something then go to ‘Settings’ and then ‘Contrast’ and fiddle with it until you see the Linux. If this does not work, follow this procedure:
1. Spin around the click wheel and you should hear some clicking sounds. This means iPL is working.
2. Spin the click wheel around COUNTER-CLOCKWISE until the clicking stops. This will set the selector to the very top.
3. Spin the wheel CLOCK WISE until you hear 2 clicks. This will put the selector to ‘Settings’. Do this nice and slow. Now press the middle button to select it.
4. Spin the wheel CLOCKWISE until you hear 4 clicks. This should select the contrast menu. Press the action button to enter it.
5. Turn the wheel CLOCKWISE to make the screen darker, and COUNTER-CLOCKWISE to make it lighter. The wheel is very sensitive to this so do it slow.
6. If there is no sound during this process, try going to a very bright area and attempting to see the black selector bar on the screen.
If these both don’t work, you’re in trouble! Use the Apple restore tool to restore your iPod and try again!

I would be very grateful of any help. I am trying to copy a movie back to tape however when i do so it results in the recording on the tape being completly black. it has gone through the process but just left a black screen.

finally: iM handle both video standards, even allows to import PAL footage into a NTSC project.. but cameras are 'hardwired' to one standard.. make sure, your project has same standard as camera.. (besides: Apple lingo is a little 'cryptical': '25 frames per second' = PAL, '30fps' = NTSC)
it could have happen, that you incidently created a NTSC project with your PAL footage. and now, it is impossible to playout THAT into/onto (english??) tape ...

Please help! Screen Capture resolution for Flash

Hi,
When I screen capture [using RoBo ScreenCapture] either web
pages off the Net, or dialog boxes of programs [I'm using Flash for
a presentation instead of PP] the images are pixelated or fuzzy or
well, not good enough.
Let me explain In using RoBo, I make the capture at the
highest Jpeg resolution possible. When I bring the jpeg into Flash
[import directly into Library] and bring on the stage, I have to
resize the image because it is too big for the stage [being
800X600]. The projector I will be using for the presentation is
800X600.so I set the stage for that.
When I publish the file and review it [setting my monitor to
800X600] the images look terrible.
Maybe I should explain that when I do the screen captures at
first, my monitor is set at 1600X1200.
Should I set it at 800X600 when doing the captures first? I
mean, does this affect the final output of the resolution of the
jpg's when they are placed in Flash after the capture and import
into the Library?
I have had to make captures of web pages, so I have my
monitor set at 1600X1200 normally so I can get the most real estate
on the screen as possible. I make the screen captures using that
monitor setting. But I have my Flash movie stage set at 800X600.
My questions are:
1. Should I do the captures with the monitor set at 800X600
if the Flash stage is 800X600? If so, why?
2. If the projector resolution is 800X600, can I set my Flash
stage at a higher size [resolution], say 1024X768? Will that
actually affect the resolution when the Flash movie is projected on
a projector with an 800X600 resolution if the Flash movie stage is
larger?
3. What affects the final resolution output of the BMP images
[jpeg's] in Flash for a presentation like I am doing?
4. What size should I capture the images at so I don't have
to resize them in Flash?
WHAH! I just want this presentation to be successful. It's a
training session on educating folks on computer virus
prevention/protection from and ID theft, something this world is in
dire need of!

A screen capture captures whatever number of pixels you are
grabbing. If
your monitor is 1600x1200 and you capture the entire screen,
then the
resolution you have captures is 1600x1200.
Then two things are happening:
1) you are making it a JPG, which is lossy compresion
2) you are shrinking it to 800 x 600.
To shrink it, Flash has to 'throw away' 75% of the pixels of
the original.
So, no matter what, you are ending up with a lower resolution
image than
what you started with.

That would make sense. Why? You can only show 800x600 pixels
in your final
presentation. What's the point of capturing more than that?

If the images are that resolution, then yes, if you increase
the size of the
flash file, you should be able to see all of the pixels at
that particular
resolution.

As long as you bring the images in at 100%, the available
resolution of the
images shouldn't change at all.

I'm not sure what RoBo is, but have you considered using a
product like
RoboDemo for this type of thing? That should handle
everything for you.
