Moved to ixwebhosting and none of my links work. Not Impressed!
I moved over to ixwebhosting and the transition was easy but now all the links I've spent planting around the world are sent to another site. Not impressed!
Unless one types in the url into the browser one get transported to generic sites that use similar url's. What gives?
Since you are going to publish to this folder every time you make changes to your site, its better to have a dedicated folder in your Home folder to publish to. Use the second method shown on this page...

Using iXwebhosting, the root folder on the server has the same name as your site so identifying is a lot easier than on these servers that use a public_html or WWW folder.
Cyberduck is OK if you want free (or donationware). For $2 you can get the Lite version of Yummy FTP which makes things a lot easier since you can see both the local files on your Mac and those on the server in the same window and just drag and drop between them...

HELP PLEASE! None of my links work in IE! People get stuck on my home page
I designed my site in iWeb 07. It works fine on Safari and on Firefox.
Yesterday I transferred my hosting from .Mac to Purple Paw. I'm not sure if this has any relevance though as I'd not tried to view my site on IE before.
None of my links work so visitors can only view my home page if they're using IE and let's face it, loads of people still do.
What can I do please? Other than redesigning the whole site in Dreamweaver which I don't want to because a) I'm crap at it and b) I've spent hours on it in iWeb and I like it!

most Windows/IE internet security setting is default to med-high, which block javascript (or any kind of scripts) from being executed. Therefore, nav bar will be rendered as a single bullet.
You need to remind your audience either to relax their internet security settings or use other browsers such as Firefox or Safari. -
It keeps telling me that one of the USB devices for this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. I have tried all of the ports and still am not having any luck. I have purchased 3 brand new cables and none of them are working. I have tried to update the driver but it says I am using the most up to date. I have tried to reset the Ipod by holding the center button and menu button until the apple appears. I am not sure what else to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My computer is Windows Vista!

Have you tried uninstalling the driver for your iPod from within Device Manager? After uninstalling it, go ahead and unplug your iPod and plug it back in. Doing so should cause your system to locate the proper driver for it.

When I search for stuff on the internet it says safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding and non of my games work either. What do I do to fix this?
Settings → scroll down to Safari → in Safari settings, I selected both Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.
IF that does not work -

Finally - if problem still present -
Go to Settings>General>Reset
Reset the network settings - you will need to add the password of your home WiFi in your phone once more

my phone has switched off for the second time this week, however when connecting to itunes the restore process wont complete. the error is 2006 however i have tried a number of USB cords, and none seem to be working.

Having upgraded from iPhoto 11 to iPhoto 2.0 (531) it now loads but crashes after a minute or so and none of the buttons work. Can anyone help please.

If I set Firefox as my default web browser, the help links on Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash's welcome screens don't connect to the help pages on Adobe's site. It just links to Firefox's start page and stops. The links work properly if Safari is set to the default browser. Please help.

I recently had to get a new hard drive and reinstall Firefox. Now when ever I click on an link to look at something and then return to the previous page (like in Craigs list or something) the link is not a different color like it always has been so I can tell which links I have already used, why?
* Make sure that the History is set to at least 1 day: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: "Remember visited pages for at least"
* Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode (Tools > Stop Private Browsing is grayed, see [[Private Browsing]])
* To see History and Cookie settings in Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history"
You can look at these prefs on the about:config page to make sure that you keep history.

When I open Firefox, the bookmark menu is a little tab in the upper left corner. If I go to view and un-click bookmark menu and then view, click it, the standard menu bar shows up. The Back and Forward buttons don't work. The navigation window does not show the URL of the current page. When opening, the home page does not come up. The wheel click works on the bookmark bar, but not within a page. The menu (file, edit, etc) does not work after the first page. Version 8 worked well. When I upgraded to version 9, all this trouble started. I backed up to version 8, but the problem persists.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

WHAt the heck is wrong with the itunes website? It's the least user friendly site I've ever tried to use. Ive spent hours trying to find my credit balance and I get no result when I follow online directions, even though I know I have more than $70 in credit. I can't find the directions to authorise this computer. When
en I go to the Itune store there is no "authorise this computer button" despite tnhe fact that is what it tells me to do. I'm frustrated and angry at wasting so much time.
<Edited by Host>Well, your credit balance should show up next to your name when you are in the iTunes Store (the actual Store as I showed in the screenshot above), but I have found that it doesn't always do that....
Do you have an iOS Device? If so, go iinto either the iTunes or Apps icon, make sure you are signed in, and then scroll to the bottom of the screen to see if it displays right beneath your sign-on name.
I don't know why it doesn't show up sometimes....it's weird.
The other thing you can try is to sign out of your iTunes account and then back in again to see if it shows up, or, you can click on your user ID in the iTunes Store, and then click on "Account" to view your account page:

Leading and non leading ledger balances do not match in FAGLB03
Hi,
Balance for period 5 as per FAGLB03 for leading ledger (0L) is say $104.
The same balance as per nonleading ledger is $176.
I checked in FAGLF03 and no difference exists there.
The issue is only with period 5, the other periods display the balance right.
There is some balance from period 6 that adds up in the credit line items balance and thats the reason for difference.
Please suggest.

In other words from my previous posts:
1. Earlier this year (around February) the non leading ledger's (Fiscal Year Variant - K4) was changed in accordance to leading ledger's FYV - YY which is April to March (year dependent).
2. So, the periods in FAGLB03 are divided based on calender months for non leading ledger (X1).
3. As the periods in leading ledger(0L) are year dependent the open and close dates are different than the calender months.
4. That's how calender month(or old K4's fiscal period of X1) August, has 2 0L's fiscal periods i.e. 5 and 6 (5th period closing date was 27.08.2011) and the 6th period start date is 28.08.2011
5. For X1 - non leading ledger when I drill down on the balance of 8th calender month i.e. August , it shows some balance from period 6, where it should not. It should only give us the results of period 5.
6. The results were right for periods 2, 3 and 4 in accordance to 0L's year dependent results. Wondering what went wrong in period 5.
As this is a month end closing issue, would appreciate any clues fast.

I have a 2009 8-core MacPro with 16gb of RAM. QuickCluster started to disappear about three months ago. Apple support suggested that I log in as a new user and that worked for a while but the QuickCluster disappeared again. I decided to create a new system boot disk with nothing but 10.7.3 and FCPX and Compressor on it, nothing from my previous user settings. That worked for about two weeks and then the QuickCluster disappear as well. I updated Compressor last week and remarkably the QuickCluster returned....until today. Now I am back to using Adobe Media Encoder for fast encodes and I am not happy. Sure it's fast but Compressor is a much better program.
Before you suggest it: I have used Compressor remover, and Compressor fix from Digital Rebellion - no change. I have trashed library files according to Apple's support pages - no change. Permission repair - nothing. There must be something that is not in the typical pathways that Qmaster uses that is getting corrupted. Any suggestions?Thanks for helping. Upon opening the Qmaster menu, I have the option to enable QuickCluster which I can do. Then the oddities start: first I get a system administrator password window which never happened before. I am logged in as an administrator and QuickCluster before always just enabled. I enter my password and close the Qmaster window however when I submit a batch, the QuickCluster option isn't there. Sometimes the computer isn't there either! (When that happens I have to trash the Qmaster library files or no rendering at all.) When closing Compressor, the system password window comes up again and if I don't enter it Compressor will not quit. Upon reopening Compressor, after the window asking if I want to enable shared services is clicked yes, the system password window comes up. If I cancel it then the QuickCluster is not enabled and Compressor behaves normally without any more requests for the system password. If I enter the password, the QuickCluster doesn't appear in the submit window and there's a chance the computer won't either.
This has occured the same way when the computer is booted off my normal system drive or the clean system boot disk that has none of my personalizations.
